I Couldn’t Make the RNC Conference Call

Lorie Byrd writes yesterday:

I was not able to be in on today’s RNC blogger conference call, but Mark Coffey has an account here.

Yeah, I was not able to be in on it either.

Because I wasn’t invited to be.

P.S. Not that I’d be able to participate in any of these calls anyway. They always seem to take place during working hours.

  3. Perhaps while you were working to help fulfill the tax base you may have also missed GW fighting back (finally):

President Bush Hits One…..Out of the Park

On this day that we observe and honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, President Bush stepped up the the plate and smacked one down the throats of the detractors and dissenters who have insisted on blaming the war on terror and the conflict in Iraq on one man.

“At this hour, a new generation of Americans is defending our flag and our freedom in the first war of this century. This war came to our shores on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. …We know that they want to strike again and our nation has made a clear choice. We will confront this mortal danger to all humanity. We will not tire or rest until the War on Terror is won.”

“As our troops fight a ruthless enemy determined to destroy our way of life, they deserve to know that their elected leaders who voted to send them to war continue to stand behind them,” the president said. “Our troops deserve to know that this support will remain firm when the going gets tough. And our troops deserve to know that, whatever our differences in Washington, our will is strong, our nation is united and we will settle for nothing less than victory.”

the full text may be out soon, but (I believe)it was fifty minutes of “in your face” to the those who have joined the “Blame Bush” for everything.

    Can’t wait for the vidio

  5. Dont worry about missing the conference..you can always catch the Three Stooges Meet Dracula and get about the same degree of truth.

Smirky tells us the nation is “united” Well right there you know he is lying…dont you…or is this just another case of bad intelligence.,,not his fault..blame someone else. I dont feel united..and I am one of millions.. hey dont let the truth get in the way of a good speech..

Bush is the greatest threat to world peace in the world today. Most citizens of the world know that. He is a liar and shallow man more interested in puffing up his own ego than in finding the truth. He wanted to be a “wartime President” and so he started this war and so far thousands have died because of his arrogant stupidity. He cannot justify it on real reasons and so resorts to appearances before friendly crowds to repeat his bullcrap about the war in Iraq being somehow tied to the war on terror. Even many of his fathers advisors have turned against him and are amazed at his ignorance and arrogance. And speaking of the war, if you think its such a just and noble cause why dont you go and fight it instead of just putting bumper stickers on your car? Oh and one more thing..we are loosing this war and the war on terror as well. Bush is Osama Bin Ladins dream come true and with less than 40% approval rating most Americans are now realizing what the world has known all along. Bush is a hollow empty man who has no idea whatsoever as to what he is doing but how succeeds by appeals to fear and patriotism backed up by a vast right wing machine ready and eager to attack and smear anyone that dares oppose this madness.

And speaking of madness, I must admit to some of that. Insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result. Trying to convince closed minded Bush Bots is a perfect example of that.
    I am finished here.

  6. Yeah, just how does one get on this ‘conference call list’ anyway?

  7. […] I couldn’t make the RNC blogger conference call again — but not for the same reason as last time. This time I was actually invited. And they held it during my lunch hour, when I normally could have participated. […]
