Brussels Terror Attacks

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 7:27 am

A coordinated attack on the metro and airport. I’m seeing 34 dead. Not linking to anything because reports will change rapidly.

With any luck this will convince more Americans to vote for a dishonest leftist big government con man thug today in Utah and Arizona. That would be about par for the course.

Then Cruz should get off his PC butt and tell it like it is: moslem terrorists, obeying the Koran are determined to kill or convert all who are not moslems! Then maybe those stupid Americans would be convinced to vote for a leader with nuts that will face the enemy and do what needs doing. And bringing in moslems ain’t it. Refugees my butt, they’re future terrorists and enablers and so are the people who want them here.

How many protests and gatherings in cities across the Europe and USA are there today, by fellow moslems in repudiation of the moslem terrorists? The same amount there always is ZERO. Forrest Gump could figure out that moslems are the problem. And those pasty-faced white, heathen, socialist Europeans are putting flowers, candles and “we are Brussels” signs all over while just across town the moslems are reloading AK magazines and assembling bomb parts. Idiots.

The good news is, again, that our suspension of liberties will in no way help the government interdict. The Paris attackers used encrypted data over cellphones coming into service the hour of the attack.

Just as low-information donors have spent $520 Million on failed candidates and $65 Million alone on stopping the Fascist Con Artiste the payoff will come as stumblebum optimists blame the destruction of the GOP, and subsequent glorious victory of the Left on DT.

yes, the skeptics question is whether Jasser is a very deeply dishonest Muslim, or whether is honestly states what he and some others believe, but that his “non-political/non-theocratic Islam is not really Islam at all”

kind of like talking about whether a historic Christian denomination is still Christian after they reject the virgin birth and Jesus’ words that there is no way to get to God except through him,
though the practical import in the here and now is very different, as that historic Christian belief or it’s watered down offshoots never endorsed violence
before someone squawks about the Crusades, there is nothing in Christian writings or historic Christian theology that supports violence , aside from the question whether self-defense or defense of the innocent that requires violence is approved.

There’s a certain simpatico between Mormons and Muslims so perhaps Cruz doesn’t want to pile on until the votes are tallied.

I read an interesting book many years ago. A guy started phonying up documents purported to be from the early Mormon church. They weren’t very flattering so Church insiders were glad to pay this guy a lot of money to “archive” them.

    Kevin M (25bbee) — 3/22/2016 @ 9:39 am

I’m shaking my head side to side. Kevin M, Kevin M, Kevin M. What can one say? So you are of the belief that if one practices PC he is taking the “high road”? He’s being a demagogue by speaking the truth when you can’t handle the truth? What Cruz needs to do is explain that the moslem terrorists are following their holy book. Tell Americans that their book says to kill Christians and Jews, atheists and Hindus, in fact everybody who refuses to “submit” to their prophet and their god. Would you consider that demagogy? I would consider it brave and political suicide in a country where PC has been taught for three generations and has corrupted the ability of many people, perhaps you are one, to determine right from wrong, good from evil and a religion from a cult.

We would not allow people who practiced a religion based on the human sacrifice of children into this country unless they gave up that belief. Yet we are expected by some unwritten PC law to allow people into this country who demand the sacrifice of men, women AND children in the name of their god. That’s why they yell “Allahu Akbar” when they perpetrate their heinous acts. They are dedicating their murders to their god.

You may believe these acts of political terror and murder are protected under the First Amendment but that is as much a distortion of the First as demanding the right to yell “fire” in a theatre. Both are perversions of the Law and both put innocent Americans in jeopardy.

Every place islam infects death and poverty precede it and follow it. It is a cult of death and torment and has no more business in a civilized society then the Aztecs would ripping a beating heart out of a man for their god.

IF we were to deny America to “Arabs” or “Middle Eastern People” then THAT would be raaaacist. But denying America to a murdering bunch of terrorists is called self preservation, not racism. It’s national security, not bigotry. It’s common sense, not PC garbage. Which is why I have no problem taking in Syrian “refugees” but only the persecuted Christians.

Levidicus, you have absolutely no idea how closely “most moslems” nor I adhere to anything. You can speculate about “most moslems” but that don’t make you right! It makes you look foolish. Exactly how many of the 1.2 billion moslems do you know? Since you’d need to know how over 600 million adhere to the Koran to know what “most” do you’ve given me a premise based on either a lie or based on stupidity. And I guarantee you have no clue how closely I adhere to my “holy book” (you can say Bible, you won’t explode ya know).

I am curious why you felt it necessary to compare me and my beliefs with “most moslems”. I assume you were insinuating “most moslems” don’t adhere to their Koran and I don’t adhere to the Bible in a foolish attempt to insult both moslems and me. Or are you saying since moslems participate in, enable or ignore murdering people in the name of their god and by adhering to the Koran if I don’t take the Bible that literally they are better believers than I?

I admit, he doesn’t have his “I ain’t no ways tarred” down like Hillary.

If he has maintained any contact with the kind of church folk his father pastored in growing up, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have to talk Ivy league,
but he probably does have a real hard time talking arrogant bluster because it is not his nature.
Unfortunately, the society has been so dumbed down and vulgar-ed up,
that the majority of Americans can’t recognize what was once standard high school graduate polite speech.

I can sympathize, I found it impossible to talk vernacular with my patients, neighbors, and co-congregants and Ivy league scholar with co-workers,
I certainly didn’t match Ivy league standards,
and who knows how well I did trying to relate to “the common folk”…

    Leviticus (dca74f) — 3/22/2016 @ 11:32 am

I wonder why liberals have such a strong itch to create a bit of moral equivalency or moral relativism between Islamism and Christianity? Quite ironic, too, since Islam is a blatantly, absurdly reactionary theology and culture, exhibiting socio-political strictures in 2016 that run circles around the most reactionary aspects of old-time Christianity, back around the time of, say, the Victorian era.

If the left throughout the Western World eventually ends up in the iron jaws of Islamism, well, a few tears will need to be shed.

His antics at the Kac-Ak Say are drawing more comparisons with Ceausescu than Suleiman these days.

From “zero problems with neighbours” to “zero neighbours without problems,” ‘neo-Ottoman’ foreign policy is a mug’s game in Turkey presently.

Yes, the study of law from the Magna Carta to the Constitution sits high on the “To DO” list for many moslems being great supporters of human rights that they are. Also their innate and philanthropic desire to help other people’s health as shown by the many, many world wide charities they sponsor. (sarcasm)

So it is only befitting that Levidicus surrounds himself with such laudable people and even compare Catholic Charities with all the kind and generous Charities run by moslems.

  104. I wonder why liberals have such a strong itch to create a bit of moral equivalency or moral relativism between Islamism and Christianity?

Because the child like desire to be “right” forces them to seek the perfect solution to everything in life. But, since nothing is perfect except God, and they refuse to believe in Him, they create a system of “fallen” perceptions. Christianity, with all it’s lessons and teachings of love and forgiveness is not their idea of a “perfect” religion because it forces them to see the worst in themselves. So Christianity is no better than the worst most murdering and dehumanizing of all formal religions, islam. America is not a perfect country so America is no more “exceptional” than Niger and America’s people are racist for thinking otherwise.

Get the point? Look at how the left has managed to keep blacks in bondage. Not only in the bondage of welfare and generational public assistance. But the bondage of low expectations and the very idea that 150 years after 600,000 white Americans died to free the slaves every day somebody MUST complain they are not equal. They will never be equal until they get rid of the bondage of victimhood placed around them, far heavier than any masters chains, by the democrat party.

This is the America the left has molded these last 80 years and it is a failure. This is the America a guy like Cruz can begin to fix. But you must realize moslems will never assimilate. And so must he.

Not exactly airtight proof of Turkish assistance to Belgium. But if true, it’s a damning allegation: the Belgian government was warned to keep an eye on this man, and yet they chose not to.
