Wait, I think I know this one! Is it because he caucuses with the Democrat party?

  8. The fix was in, Menendez was guaranteed he wouldn’t be questioned about his teenage hookers, otherwise he would never have put himself in such a vulnerable position.

And this isn’t the first time. When this story initially surfaced a few months ago Menendez’s daughter, a regular FOX NEWS contributor was on then and on several times since then and the issue was never brought up.

And of course the answer is given by JVW in #5.

  13. Pious, it wouldn’t be your daughter’s responsibility to answer such questions, or mine, or even Bill Clinton’s daughter, but Alicia Menendez isn’t a private citizen. She’s a professional Democrat Party activist with a lengthy career of vigorously attacking GOP candidates and conservative causes.

She got the same noblesse oblige considerations on FOX that her father got on ABC and that’s a legitimate part of the big picture.

I’m sure the Senator has shared all the details with his daughter.

Clearly the voters. The media as well, but let’s face it. The Obama administration has just discovered it didn’t have to make I.C.E. arrest and deport that illegal Peruvian alien/registered sex offender who was interning in Menendez’s office. (Unless that’s what passes for professional courtesy in Democratic party circles; sex offenders stick together.) They could have arrested and deported the guy before the election and it would have been a) a minor story if reported at all and b) a non-issue to the voters who could care less as long as guys like Menendez are promising to buy their votes with federal bennies paid for with other people’s money.

Ted Kennedy proved that if you’re promising people enough free stuff you really can get caught red-handed with a live boy or a dead girl and still keep getting elected.

  20. Laws are for little people. Not for people in the political and media elite.

The Most Ridiculous Law of 2013 (So Far): It Is Now a Crime to Unlock Your Smartphone

    ADVISORY

BY DECREE OF THE LIBRARIAN OF CONGRESS

IT SHALL HENCEFORCE BE ORDERED THAT AMERICANS SHALL NOT UNLOCK THEIR OWN SMARTPHONES.

PENALTY: In some situations, first time offenders may be fined up to $500,000, imprisoned for five years, or both. For repeat offenders, the maximum penalty increases to a fine of $1,000,000, imprisonment for up to ten years, or both.*

That’s right, folks. Congress has delegated to the Librarian of Congress the power to issue exemptions to the Digital Millenia Copyright Act.

And, therefore, the power to rescind those exemptions and as the language of the above demonstrates rule by decree.

How much you want to bet David Gregory or Charles Rangel can’t get arrested for this.

  22. Off Craiglist via Gateway Pundit:

    “What Obamacare did for me

I thought it would be great, free health insurance, then I got a job. Boss says 28 hours a week is all they are offering now because over 30 requires insurance. Great, 30% pay cut right off the bat. But it gets better. My 28 hour week gives me about $18,000 a year which is too much for any government insurance. So now by law I have to buy my own ($5000) or pay a fine. I’m f**ked and every year the fine goes up. So what I thought was a sweet deal turned into an a** f**king. Thanks Obama, I wonder how many people like me turn 27 and find out you screwed us?

  33. #15, dailyrocks, my father wasn’t a Senator and I’m not a professional activist, both he and I are private citizens therefore not public figures.

But Senator Menendez and his daughter are both public figures and when he was exposed as involved in a teenage prostitute scandal involving receiving improper gifts and illegal compensation from a long time supporter who just happened to be in big trouble with the IRS, it would have been legitimate to ask his daughter about it, she’s often acted as his representative to the media.

It wouldn’t have been necessary to quiz Alicia on the salacious details of her father’s dalliances, those issues are better left for the investigators, but questions about the free plane trips and her father’s efforts to help out his bosom buddy with tax problems would have been legitimate, timely, and newsworthy.

  35. The official time tested Democrat policy towards Democrat leaders and young women (or men) is that only if the senator kills more than ONE (1) young woman, he can be asked to leave.

    Otherwise, it’s nothing.
