Piers Morgan Fantasized About Shooting His Enemies

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 7:31 am

At the Daily Caller, Charles C. Johnson (the “good” Charles Johnson) has a piece titled In England, Piers Morgan joked about shooting rivals, said homeowners who kill burglars should not be prosecuted.

CNN host and outspoken gun-control advocate Piers Morgan once joked about shooting professional enemies and separately wrote that he was a “rabid fascist” who wanted burglars tortured after a “decent period of cattle-prodding, testicle electrode treatment, and slow gentle skewering over hot coals.”

. . . .

“So the real question is, if I had a gun with just two bullets, who would I shoot?” Morgan said during the May 2006 interview.

“In the end,” wrote Hardy, “he can’t choose between them, so he opts for a clean shot to take out Hislop and a ricocheting hit to mortally wound both Clarkson and Gill.”

Charles explains that, in a separate piece, Morgan railed about the numerous burglaries he had experienced in England, a country with strict gun control. Studies show that property crimes like the ones Morgan complained of are disproportionately common in countries like England where the populace is largely unarmed. “I wouldn’t shoot anyone because, like most people in this country, I’m not licensed to carry a gun,” Morgan says in the piece. He added, speaking of burglars: “I want them erased from life, all of them. Preferably after a decent period of cattle-prodding, testicle electrode treatment, and slow gentle skewering over hot coals.”

If you have a gun, such brutal torture is not necessary. You can simply shoot the intruder to defend your life.

This is common, by the way. Fringe leftists who shout and get self-righteous about a topic often threaten to engage in the very behavior they decry. Fringe leftists (Comic Book Guy Bill Schmalfeldt comes to mind) love to scream about rape and how their favorite right-wing target doesn’t care about rape victims — and then, on a different day, make comments about the rape of their right-wing enemies, and publish drawings of their right-wing enemies being raped.

So it doesn’t surprise me a bit to see Piers Morgan, Mr. Anti-Gun and Anti-Violence, fantasizing about shooting and torturing people. This is what the fringe left does.

  1. i think it’s worse how the piers morgan shovels lies and propaganda and how Jeffy Zucker gets down on his knees for his star propaganda slut

  2. Piers is a Howler not a Hunter.

He’s also a Lamb, not a Sheep Dog, or even a Ram.

    Keep howling Piers!

  3. also the way Piers Morgan exploits dead children is really obscene too

British tv personalities are not safe around children in any respect

  4. I don’t think he is part of the fringe Left.

  5. It’ ironic, considering he was dismissed from the Daily Mirror, for negligence that likely causes the death of many British soldiers, all through out Iraq and Afghanstan,

    This.

  7. In other words, Piers is railing against bad people doing evil things, frustrated to the point of apoplexy by the refusal of the world’s louts to embrace the concept of behavior-defined utopia.

I mean, Geez! If all of these mass shooters had just voluntarily checked themselves into in-patient mental health facilities, and all of the petty criminals would allow themselves to be content with what they receive from the welfare office — think what a wonderful world this would be!

  10. Piers Morgan is not just a “rabid fascist”–as my Emglish friends would say, he’s a “right arsehole”.

That’s why I favor the phrase “limousine liberal.” Those words really do apply to far too many on the left. People who truly are the epitome of two-faced and very disingenuous behavior when it comes to plenty of social-political issues.

The Obamas love public schools but send their own precious children to safe, private campuses. Or all the Obama staffers who shrug off the idea of burdensome incomes taxes, yet are known to be in arrears to the IRS (much less the little routine the Secretary of the Treasury pulled off when it came to his own 1099 form several years ago).

As for a “limousine liberal” like Piers Morgan, I wouldn’t even be as pissed at someone like him if he also excoriated the dumbing down, cheapening and coarsening of modern culture. If he also bemoaned how shameless, do-your-own-thang behavior hasn’t exactly helped discourage exhibitionist forms of both violence and dysfunction throughout society. Instead, he’ll be the first to fete and coo over junk like a Bill Clinton or tear up over, say, Obama’s-son-if-he-had-a-son, meaning Trayvon Martin.

  12. From Clarkson’s review of the BMW 1M Coupe on Top Gear;

“Just when you’d think it couldn’t get any better, you can push a button and the whole car shimmies. It’s like a little shiver of excitement, the kind of feeling you would get if someone suddenly gave you permission to set fire to Piers Morgan.”

Piers Morgan says I couldn’t go on his CNN show because staff there have never heard of me. Another reason is: I’d rather eat my own head.

    Jeremy Clarkson ‏@JeremyClarkson
Piers Morgan tells us this morning that viewing figures for his CNN show are up 44%. At this rate, it may soon pass Cash in the Attic.

@dan_k123 @piersmorgan Actually, the only people who hate Piers Morgan are those who’ve met him.

  14. Morgan is yer typical principle-free whore. The only reason he is railing on about gun control is that he sees it as a way to be relevant. And look at all the attention he is getting. Of course, it is not translating into viewers for his pathetic show. He was crowing yesterday that his Jones Youtube had garnered 8M viewers. This suggests that he is not clear on the difference between laughing with you, and laughing at you.

  15. HEADLINE: Christlike Piers ‘Prince-of-Peace’ Morgan drives self-defense strumpets from the CNN Temple. He shows would-be tank owners up for the warlike Amazons they truly are.

Scorning both logic and common sense holyman Morgan proclaims a new self-defense doctrine: You can only shoot at a mob of thugs coming after you with bats and a tire iron if they kill you. Don’t believe he is that stupid, or rather totally ruled by his emotions? Then see him argue this point, he really did (see second video):

  17. Notice that he fantasized about a gun with only two bullets – not even seven, let alone 10 rounds or 30.

  18. The anti-gun zealots are extremely violent in their rhetoric.

Some of us think that the reason they want to disarm everyone else is because they know how uncontrolled they themselves are.

Projection. Where have we seen that before?

  19. Are we all in agreement that Alex Jones is a trusted voice of the conservative movement? He was not at all a raving lunatic in his confrontation with Piers Morgan.

  23. I wouldn’t even know that pathetic Piers existed on planet earth if he didn’t show up regularly in posts on right leaning blogs. Can’t we just ignore him?

I agree with Gazzer upthread from a couple weeks ago. Morgan’s all about being noticed, and having his name in lights, and a paycheck –not about principle. Why does the right aid and abet him?
