Hillary Clinton, Champion Of The “Everyday People”?

Remember when Hillary announced the launch of her campaign and told us that she wanted to be the champion of “everyday people”? You know, because she’s like one of us? Well, in Council Bluffs today, those “everyday people” were momentarily forgotten when the Scooby van was parked in a handicap zone. Entitled much?

According to this report, for most of her meeting with Democrat operatives, the van was parked in a regular stall. Her staff backed it into the handicap stall before her meeting ended.
No comment from her campaign.

That may be true, but take a close look at the :30 mark of the video. It’s impossible to tell for sure, but it does sort of look like there is an empty space immediately in front of where the van decided to pick her up. I think the more likely explanation is that Hillary! is such a diva that her driver is afraid to ask her to walk an additional 12 feet from the restaurant door to the van door, so he made sure to pull up as close as he possibly could. I mean from the crowd size it’s not at all a concern that Hillary! would be mobbed on her way out the door.

First, since the vehicle is running and occupied by an operator (engine can be heard, brake light indicates operator at the wheel, back of operator’s head visible briefly when van door is open) there is no validity to the claim that the vehicle is ‘parked’ in a handicap spot.
Also, as she is most certainly under secret service guard (or at least her secret server is under secret service guard) she does not do her own driving and parking. Her security detail does the driving and parking, and they are most certainly not going to park the poop colored van around the corner or down the block. Whtehter that spot was handicapped or not, they would block it off and reserve it for her majesty. I’m sure they would control all the traffic lights on her route through town, if given the opportunity as well.
It does not matter if you are handicapped or not, we all must yield our own conveniences and rights to make way for her glorious highness, the anointed one of Arkansas… or was it New York? Or Chicago?

The cops wouldn’t draw a distinction between “no parking” and “no standing.”
I agree with everything else. Like the Federal Records Act, the laws about parking/standing in handicapped spaces are for the little people. They don’t apply to the Clintons.
Speaking of laws not applying, aparently Secret Service agents can drive drunk into police barricades and engage hookers, too. No prob.
