Wonder if she knows my friend Kenny Penny.

Gulermo (621247) — 6/22/2012 @ 8:48 amKrystal Ball as a news anchor???
I guess if she grew up with that name she learned to put up with it during junior high.
Don’t spit into the wind, and don’t mess with Rush, unless you plan to lose.
MD in Philly (f0e1bd) — 6/22/2012 @ 9:18 amBrooks Bayne got quite a scoop here (The Other Mccain presents it very well, too).
Do they really have the ear of OFA? If so, that’s opening a lot of disturbing questions.
Dustin (330eed) — 6/22/2012 @ 9:26 amMD in Philly – News anchors with stripper names have the most credibility in my book.
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 6/22/2012 @ 9:28 amThe #StopRush group hired Neal Rauhauser to discover the identity of a suspected “right-wing” disrupter.
http://thetrenches.us/2012/06/matt-edelstein-and-stoprush-employed-brett-kimberlins-pal-neal-rauhauser-as-their-private-investigator/
In some sort of e-mail, one person says “Laffy”, a person who had had differences with the author (identified by The Trenches as Matt Edelstein, further identified by the Other McCain as believed to be #StopRush leader @Shoq aka “Shoq Value)
This sentence is getting too long. Only Felix Frankfurter maybe would have been comfortable if I finisheed it.
OK. “Laffy” had already inquired about this person with “Krystal” and she indicated they don’t trust him (whatever group she belongs to)
And it says further that he was forwarding this email to Neal Rauhauser (that is, Neal should know for his investigation what Krystal reported)
because Neal might have some insight into which approach is best, and whether this person was just a flake, as the author of the e-mail was inclined to think, or or on a professional mission, as “Julie” thought.
What all shows is not a connection to StopRush but to an allied group which may know more about people than he does, or had some experience with the same person.

Could also be taken as a claim of accuracy predictions.
The name Krystal Ball sounded familiar to me but I didn’t remember what.
What it was, is that, at age 28, she was running for Congress in Virginia in 2010, and some I guess you could call stripper type pictures maybe – or worse – from 6 years earlier were released and she complained about it. I thought at the time that that might have been a pre-emptive leak. She was really prepared for it, and went on the offensive calling the leak “outrageous” and “incredibly sexist.”
(You have to consider the possibility that these might not have been the worst pictures that existed. At least the other person in the picture was her then-husband, and no actual genital areas were shown, and not too much of her body was exposed. Maybe there was something else she was hoping nobody would dare to publish or circulate.)

Ball stated that “[s]ociety has to accept that women of my generation have sexual lives that are going to leak into the public sphere”. She also attributed reactions to the photos as due to “this whole idea that female sexuality and serious work are incompatible” and expressed concern that accepting such conduct as part of politics would create a glass ceiling for women in politics.[18]
She recently called for a boycott of Rush limbaugh’s advertiseres but back then she had no complaints. Rush commented at the time:
Krystal Ball: What’s the Big Deal?
The photos are a resume enhancement for a Democrat.
Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/22/2012 @ 9:55 amThanks for the reminder, Sammy. If memory serves, the pictures were just her in lingerie at a college Halloween party, certainly nothing too risque by today’s standards. I too thought that it was a big deal about almost nothing, though it gave her the opportunity to grandstand and complain about how women candidates are being treated.
JVW (b090ff) — 6/22/2012 @ 10:01 amI don’t understand how it’s ‘female sexuality’ under attack. Obviously a man in a similar circumstance would be no better off (cough cough Weiner).
When are these adults going to start taking personal responsibility instead of claiming to be oppressed?
Dustin (330eed) — 6/22/2012 @ 10:04 amJVW, read the Wiki link from Sammy. It was a tad more than just wearing a “naughty Santa” outfit.

That would have been merely a quip or pure sarcasm not too long ago. But as each year goes by, I think such a comment becomes purely accurate, a statement of fact.
Society has become more and more desensitized, and increasingly tolerant of flaws and dysfunction that would have been shocking and unacceptable several decades ago.
Look at how different people’s attitudes and expectations are before and after the era of Bill Clinton, and, now, Barack Obama. Dumbed down, way down.

I didn’t remember it actually myself, but just her name. Is this the one wehere she wears a Santa hat? It is said to be a costume party. It was a little bit more. Somebody’s idea of a joke, of course.
Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/22/2012 @ 10:13 amSo, Krystal Ball is an accomplished dildo sucker, pictures prove it. Which of course is a prerequisite for hosting a political show on CNN.
ropelight (654673) — 6/22/2012 @ 10:19 amThey aren’t even trying to hide it anymore
JD (33493e) — 6/22/2012 @ 10:48 ambut was she a witch?
elissa (c64cb9) — 6/22/2012 @ 11:31 amIs that all it takes to be a paid commentator in MSNBC?
Run for congress, leak some party photos, and start harassing someone pronto…then watch the cash pour in!
Noodles (3681c4) — 6/22/2012 @ 12:43 pmJVW, read the Wiki link from Sammy. It was a tad more than just wearing a “naughty Santa” outfit.
Yeah, you’re right, but it still isn’t beyond the pale of what college boys and girls are doing today. It really says more about our hyper-sexualized society than it does about Ms. Ball, if you ask me. I’m sure it was something of an embarrassment to her — and it should be — but it probably isn’t something that should be considered all that shocking in this day and age.
Maybe Ms. Ball should have taken her newly found notoriety and hit the lecture circuit warning young women about trying to compete with their male peers in the Crude Olympics, but I guess that wouldn’t quite be acceptable to the pro-sex feminists, would it?
JVW (b090ff) — 6/22/2012 @ 12:49 pmAnd she blames the voter. Funny she did not mention racist.
mg (44de53) — 6/22/2012 @ 1:56 pmI hear that Sean Hannity has a close relationship to a right wing radio host and fund raises for GOP candidates….
oh, hold it, I forgot, what Ms. Ball did is only wrong when she is trying to stop Rush Limbaugh
timb (449046) — 6/22/2012 @ 2:23 pmSean Hannity organized a campaign to get a political opponent taken off the air?
JD (33493e) — 6/22/2012 @ 2:26 pmtimb’s a wishin’ and a hopin’ that if he tells enough lies maybe Ms Ball will notice his proboscis.
ropelight (654673) — 6/22/2012 @ 2:47 pm“Sean Hannity organized a campaign to get a political opponent taken off the air?”
With fake twitter accounts to give advertisers the impression there was actually grass roots support behind it?
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 6/22/2012 @ 3:18 pmBack in the mists of time, in my freshman year of college, I was desperate for a Halloween costume, and went as a pregnant nun.
If I ever run for office and a picture turns up, I will not apologize, or expect anyone to get all that outraged. If someone does, that’s on them, not me. I cannot quite see what Ms. Ball is complaining about.
