Sarah Palin: “The SWATting Must Stop”

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 12:12 am

At 33:28:

These are futile efforts, though, to get constitutional conservatives to sit down and shut up. And I know that some of you bloggers, oh, especially recently, experiencing terrible harassment just because you dared report accurately about a convicted criminal who’s now funded by left wing organizations.

And you’re not alone and the SWATting must stop, and those responsible for the SWATting must be held accountable by the law.

Thanks to Noodles for the link and pointer.

UPDATE: Also check out Michelle Malkin’s speech at 4:55:

Thanks again to Noodles.

Patterico should collect that reward money from Brett and head to Vegas!

  6. Noodles: The check would bounce. Digging through the 990’s for JTMP and Velvet Revolution US shows there isn’t enough money to buy a pack of gum. Or so they claim … where is the money they’ve collected from Babs and the Tides foundation (as well as other foundations)? Could it be it was spent on Neal and his beandogs? Perhaps on sockpuppets? On SWAT’ers? On personal litigation by Kimberlin against his imagined “enemies” and all too real reports of facts and truth? Inquiring minds really want to know!

  7. Sarah and Michelle are both still hot.

    I’m sorry, is that sexist?

I should have said, these are strong, smart, powerful, confident women who just happen to be somewhat pleasing to the eye.

    And they’re hot.

  13. Michelle’s talk was far too disjointed.

She came out blazing as to why her often angry mien was justified (and it soooo is). She was liberal with pejoratives (all richly deserved) too. But, she concludes with a spiel about happy warriors and smiles. Oh well.

  18. They knocked Palin for not reading the NY Times or Washington Post; neither of which would have informed her about SWATing, or who was doing it.

Perhaps some reporter should ask Obama and Romney what blogs they read, to truly see how they inform themselves.

The right-wing rejected her in favor of a RINO with a $100 haircut.

I don’t know about other conservatives, but I was apprehensive about her for purely non-ideological reasons. While I’d easily favor her in a split second over the liberal crud currently in the White House or a Hillary Sniper-Fire Clinton, I’m aware of purely social or superficial characteristics of a person that can easily make or break him or her. So in Palin’s case, her demeanor is too much like that of a happy-talk news lady, and that can be disconcerting.

I’m sure lots of squishes (or “centrists”) throughout America feel ever more apprehensive about such a quality, and liberals, who resist giving the benefit of the doubt to even someone with the profile of a Margaret Thatcher, would gleefully exploit that, or have done so already.

    Mark (7154e5)

  30. So in Palin’s case, her demeanor is too much like that of a happy-talk news lady, and that can be disconcerting

So we chose a liberal Republican who speaks well over a constitutional conservative because she talks like Edie McClurg? We need to vote smarter than that. I’ll be staying home November 6 while you libs on the left and right fight over what statist you want to be a slave under.

  34. ______________________________________________

So we chose a liberal Republican who speaks well over a constitutional conservative because she talks like Edie McClurg

I would have gladly nominated her and been far more confident in her in the White House than someone along the lines of who’s there now, or, yes, someone with the squishy qualities of Romney. But I don’t represent a good portion, much less majority, of the public, and I instead see so much idiotic liberalism throughout this and other industrialized, much less Third-World, societies, that even minor idiosyncrasies in a conservative politician can’t be taken lightly.

If someone as non-rightist or squishy as Romney still isn’t easily a front runner against a scroungy ultra-liberal like Obama, then that merely proves my point that modern Western society (eg, recent polling in Europe that shows over 80% willing to suckle Obama) is growing absurdly, self-destructively liberal.

    Mark (7154e5)

  35. “23.The right-wing rejected her in favor of a RINO with a $100 haircut.”

Palin chose not to run. Whatever the reason, right or wrong, it was her decision to make.

Sheldon they wouldn’t know why a shiksa would wear one. I’m guesiing you don’t either.

    Mattsky (d39e6b)

  37. What a maroon

    Bugs bunny’s old line.

I am guessing that Palin is wearing a Star of David as a symbol of her support for the Jewish people and for Israel. Perhaps there is something more specific to it, but I don’ think there needs to be. As Michael Medved and Dennis Prager point out, “theologically conservative” American Christians as a whole are among the best supporters the Jewish people and the nation of Israel have ever had.

a father and son clique of stalkers, and her most
recent libeler, McGuinness, drew a route to her front door, she might understand what swatting
    entails.

  42. Well, the Google will lead you to the truth (and other things):

You couldn’t miss it, the big Star of David hanging around Sarah Palin’s neck as she toured the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on Wednesday.

NBC New York asked Palin about the significance just as she boarded her bus outside Fox Newschannel to head off to Boston.

“Today is the 44th anniversary of Jerusalem being reunited,” she said. “We want to call attention to that.”

    Kevin M (bf8ad7)

  43. Of course that was two weeks ago…

  45. http://rightonline.com/beta/livestream Rusty Humphries just said “The SWATtings must stop”.

    Noodles (3681c4)

  46. Sheldon, I assume she wears it because she likes it, and because of her love for Israel. When she was governor she had an Israeli flag in her office, so her wearing a magen david doesn’t surprise me. But I don’t think she wears it every day, so that particular day’s choice may just have been random. Anyway, why does it matter? It’s not as if Jews have some sort of trademark on it.

    Milhouse (312124)

  47. Still haven’t asked your Jewish friends eh?

    sheldon (77ac66)

  48. Um, what?

    Milhouse (312124)

  49. Still not getting why Mattsky’s Jewish friends would have some special insight into Mrs Palin’s choice of jewelry. Jews aren’t telepathic, you know. Surely the right person to ask would be a Palin family member or friend. Or maybe just shoot off an email to the woman herself, if you’re really curious.

Really, Sheldon, you’re going to have to spell this one out.

  52. “Still not getting why Mattsky’s Jewish friends would have some special insight into Mrs Palin’s choice of jewelry”

I think you kind of miss the point by calling it just “choice of jewelry” or “special insight.” That’s the sort of thing that Mattsky asking his Jewish friends for their opinion on Palin’s habit of wearing a Star of David is supposed to overcome.

    sheldon (77ac66)

  53. I think you kind of miss the point by calling it just “choice of jewelry” or “special insight.”

No, I don’t. That is all it is, after all.

That’s the sort of thing that Mattsky asking his Jewish friends for their opinion on Palin’s habit of wearing a Star of David is supposed to overcome.

Really? What special insight are they supposed to have into why she wears it? What do you know about them that I don’t? Do you even know who Mattsky is, let alone who his friends are?

    Milhouse (2e50ab)

Genesis 12:2 “I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great inorder that you be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and him who curses you I will curse.”
