Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Said Bergdahl Was a Deserter
No surprise here, but nothing much will happen to the guy after Obama traded five terrorists for him. Obama will see to that:
Then-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen admitted that Bowe Berghdal was a deserter, and said that he did not know why the military was focusing so much energy on trying to save him, according to one of Bergdahl’s platoon mates.
“The joint chief of staff, Admiral Mullen at the time. He came out to our unit and had Thanksgiving dinner, and he said, ‘Yeah he walked off, everybody knows he walked off, I don’t know why they’re trying to’” pretend that he didn’t, Bergdahl’s former infantry roommate Cody Full told The Daily Caller.
Don’t try to tell me that Obama is not foursquare against terrorism!
In unrelated news, the United States has declared it “disgraceful” for Israel to defend itself by shelling areas where Hamas has deliberately launched attacks in proximity to civilians.
But trading five terrorists for a deserter? Nothing “disgraceful” about that!

My health is declining because of my prostate cancer, hernia and heart. Just to get through the day I have to use 2 self catheters, one in the morning and one in the evening.
All I really want to do now is to be the best Grandfather I can be for my Grandchildren.

The rest of your point is over-stated. The thing is, you stop and think about it and you have to ask what’s appealing about the man. The only thing I can think of is that he’s managed to avoid the divorce courts and there aren’t any bimbo eruptions around him. That’s certainly something. Otherwise, you look at both him and his wife and you see intellectual assets dissipated in stupid jobs, a consequent failure to develop any genuine skills, financial profligacy, graft, and the embarrassing play-acting of his political career.
The concise summaries of his modus operandi are as follows: Jodi Kantor’s account of the work flow in the Obama White House: the staff hands him these memos with canned options at the end and he checks the option and adds inane marginalia; Pelosi and Reid putting the speaker-phone on reception only so he would not hear them talking as they were negotiating among themselves while he was running his mouth; putting the presidential lectern (complete with TelePrompTers) in a 6th grade classroom for a publicity visit; and concocting brazen lies about Benghazi with HRC before jetting off to a fundraiser the next day.
