Joe Biden’s Firearms Advice Could Get You Arrested

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 11:58 pm

Or even get you killed — on account of how stupid it is.

Chuck Hagel probably thinks Biden is one of the pre-eminent firearms thinkers in our country.

  4. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6, Joe says!

Next time you think someone is breaking in your house, promptly open fire in a random direction. Once the (tea partier) burglar knows you are out of precious ammunition, he’ll know there’s nothing worth stealing.

I’m grateful Joe is the go-to guy for foreign policy advice!

  7. With geniuses like Biden and Hagel, I wonder why it is so dangerous for me to use a flamethrower to clear my driveway of snow and to control the vegetation that constitues my lawn in summer.

I think when they put hair plugs in biden, they drilled too deeply.

  11. Biden would never take his own advise, even he knows better, but he spouts idiot nonsense anyway because he’s stuck with finding some plausible sounding way to support the Left’s gun grabbing agenda while at the same time pretending that shooting the bastards isn’t the most effective way for homeowners to protect themselves and their wives and children from violent home invasions.

Sending the VP out to advise people to do something grotesquely stupid and illegal isn’t very plausible sounding.

  14. This video is obviously a joke, and you can tell because first it starts with a guy using a comical voice to ask Ol’ Joe the question, and second, Joe Biden.

  15. It should be unthinkable that we have a person who is simply not taken seriously as first in line for the presidency. But we do, and so many go along with it with apparently little guilt or a second thought.

Whatever one may think about Bush and/or Cheney, I don’t think anyone accused Cheney of simply being an incompetent stooge, or Bush appointing incompetent people.

  16. anyone stupid enough to take Slow Joe’s advice on anything deserves to go to jail, if only for the safety of the rest of us.

  18. I have a way to stop this gun grabbing nonsense. Force the gun grabbers to knock on doors, unarmed, no body armor, in to Gang and drug dealing slums. We’ll just have a one time expense for funerals.

    PCD (1d8b6d)

  19. Great idea, PCD. You’re racist. Slow Joe and his band of gun grabbers have no interest in taking those guns, just yours.

Cheney was no stooge, but Bush was no judge of people. He had a poor BS detector. I submit “Heck of a job” Michael Brown and Justice Miers among others. He also appointed Ben Bernanke.

  21. Of course, I cannot remember anyone in Biden’s class. He is best explained as assassination & impeachment insurance.

This is a common weakness. I don’t think Reagan was a good judge of people. Case in point: Geiorge HW Bush.

    He also appointed Ben Bernanke.

I don’t know if that’s not what he wanted but that was a good appointment.

    Sammy Finkelman (d22d64)

  23. you have to be a special kind of stupid to think Ben Bernanke was a good appointment.

either that or you’re on board with our SCOAMF’s plan to permanently damage the US.

  24. I still think Dick Cheney to have been the best Vice President we have had since at least Truman if not longer (Truman being somewhat overrated).

  25. I think GW is the only president I can think of who picked a VP primarily on the basis of the ability to govern, not on the ability to get electoral votes.

I think Romney largely did that too, though arguably Ryan was a potential help with Wisconsin.

  26. MD,

In modern times, Harry Truman’s choice of Alben Barkley may fall in that category, too.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  27. Although Truman didn’t pick Barkley so much as take him by default, but my point is that Barkley’s selection was based on competency rather than traditional regional appeal.

  28. While Joe Biden’s firearms advice could get you arrested, his economic advice could leave you bankrupt.

Certainly, he’s in need of a hair transplant, but he’s in greater need of a brain transplant.

  29. Biden can do/say as he pleases (thus exercising his Freedom of Speech) but, if we said what he said, at the very least we would be on some secret govt. terrorist list. Where is the outrage any more?

I sure wish he was the President, then or now.

Wouldn’t it make you feel better if you were a foreign service officer or CIA operative at some lonely outpost to know that people like Biden, handpicked by Obama to be his running mate or cabinet officers, are advising Obama?

Not some nasty ol’ Counterrorism Security Group who are career professionals in terrorism, intelligence, defense, etc.

Yeah, me too. That’s why it fills me with confidence when Jay Carney tells the press there was no need to convene the CSG on the night of the Benghazi attack because it was being handled at the highest levels of government. Our top men and women. Tip top. Like Biden, Kerry, and Hagel. So, Carney sez, there’s no need to convene the CSG.

Can’t you see it now? Amb. Stevens is screaming for aid. Biden gets on the horn and advises, “You don’t need military style aid. Just go out the balcony with your 12ga. double and fire two blasts in the air. I guarantee you that whoever is trying to get in, won’t.”

Now, back to your regularly scheduled comment thread.

I’m sure this administration will respond just as forcefully as they did when the NORKs sank the Cheonan.

And don’t think the PRC, and the rest of the world for that matter, doesn’t know it.
