The Best Thing About the LA Times
[Guest post by DRJ]
I don’t even live in California but I’d subscribe to the L.A. Times if it had a few more reporters like Andrew Malcolm. I’d especially subscribe if they were all as clever, and occasionally sarcastic, as Malcolm. So read the whole thing.

What unmitigated arrogance.
With an attitude like that, I am surprised that newspapers are not becoming a money sucking black hole.
Oh, wait…
FLBuckeye (212dea) — 6/22/2010 @ 5:15 pmminuscule two-out-of-three that is tiny. I mean “two” is only one more than one. Is there any number less than one? Well none. It’s not like it was eleven.- Nigel Tufnel
Gazzer (d79016) — 6/22/2010 @ 5:17 pmYes, the LA Times needs a few more folks like Andrew Malcolm — and a lot fewer folks like Sandy Banks, Hector Tobar, Tim Rutten, Michael Hiltzik . . . you add your own names to the list.

It was too insulting to his parrot to subject him to such a low class paper.

JD (9ac83d) — 6/22/2010 @ 11:01 pmA little background on Malcolm: He was Laura Bush’s press secretary, and worked on Bush’s 2000 campaign. So he isn’t your average journalist — even if he did work for the New York Times for many years.
I would guess that he is now quite happy being able to say all the things he couldn’t say while officially working for the Bushes.
