6. The sad thing that as funny as this plot is (tax cheat tells tax cheat, etc.) it will never wind up on a Saturday Night Live skit. But they will still go after Sarah Palin.

7. You know what’s really funny about all these tax-paying problems?

   If it were Republicans, the entire blogosphere and MSM would be alight with the calls for “frog-marching” offenders from the White House.

   But, in this case, it’s simply mistakes.

   As I’ve said before, I doubt the IRS would be so kind if I made a mistake.

10. and yet there will be no mistake when the cap and trade fiasco jacks your cost of living up, regardless of income level, nor will there be any when “dire necessity” requires Ear Leader to raise taxes on those who make less than the abhorrent $250K/year limit previously espoused.

17. It’s even funnier than it looks at first glance. Tax EVADER Geithner tells tax EVADER Rangel that he’s going to crack down on tax AVOIDERS.

    The difference between tax evasion and tax avoidance is, of course, five years per count. Avoidance is perfectly legal, whereas evasion is criminal.

    Unless, of course, you’re one of the favored like Geithner or Rangel, and then you don’t even pay the interest when you get caught.
