Bill Clinton: Obama Is Incompetent!
Well, at least according to some anonymous sources quoted by the New York Post:
President Obama made a secret deal to support Hillary Clinton when she runs for president in 2016, campaign sources say, payback for the support her husband gave him in 2012.
Bill Clinton’s animosity toward Obama is legendary. A year before the last election, he was urging Hillary to challenge the sitting president for the nomination — a move she rejected.
According to two people who attended that meeting in Chappaqua, Bill Clinton then went on a rant against Obama.
“I’ve heard more from Bush, asking for my advice, than I’ve heard from Obama,” my sources quoted Clinton as saying. “I have no relationship with the president — none whatsoever. Obama doesn’t know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. He’s incompetent. He’s an amateur!”
Heh. This all has to be taken with a grain of salt (probably a whole bunch of grains) because the sources are anonymous, but it’s funny.
And the assessment, whether it was really uttered by Clinton or not . . . is true.
Ding.
Patterico (9c670f) — 6/2/2013 @ 6:29 pmMaybe fake.
But accurate, nonetheless.
Steven Den Beste (99cfa1) — 6/2/2013 @ 6:37 pmBut he beat your wife now didn’t he – so what does that say..
E.PWJ (6140f6) — 6/2/2013 @ 6:42 pmWho says I never agree with Democrats?
We can’t know if this actually happened, but I’m sure this kind of conversation occurs all the time in both parties.
Ag80 (eb6ffa) — 6/2/2013 @ 6:48 pmBill had had his moments re JEF.
The former U.S. president, whose wife Hillary battled Obama in the 2008 primary campaign, is said to have remarked of the current president: ‘A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.’ and
The ill-advised comment follows claims of another remark attributed to Clinton in 2010, where he is said to have commented: ‘A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.
Gazzer (716db0) — 6/2/2013 @ 6:59 pmWhat do you think it says? How does winning an election say anything at all about ones competence to be president?
Milhouse (3d0df0) — 6/2/2013 @ 7:16 pmMuch as I want to enjoy this kerfuffle, I can’t help but see this as a typically pathetic attempt by Bubba the Perjurorious President to keep his name in the news. He’s a trashy man with a wholly dishonest wife who served In an incompetent administration.
JVW (23867e) — 6/2/2013 @ 8:52 pmWhat an insult to the incompetents of the world!
htom (412a17) — 6/2/2013 @ 8:56 pmCame to say fake but accurate. Was beaten to the punch.
I do not think Hillary would be that much better. It’s hard to think of anything but insider investments that she hasn’t screwed up.
Dustin (303dca) — 6/2/2013 @ 9:23 pmShe only didn’t screw up the cattle futures because she didn’t do anything; it was a transparent bribe.
Milhouse (3d0df0) — 6/2/2013 @ 9:25 pmwell, both Clinton’s are SME’s on incompetence.
pots & kettles, as it were.
redc1c4 (403dff) — 6/2/2013 @ 11:45 pmOh, I can see it being true: even the way Mr Clinton evaluated President Obama was to make it All About Him. Even if it’s fake, the author has Bill Clinton down pat.
The snarky Dana (3e4784) — 6/3/2013 @ 5:22 amIt seems that President Bill
The Limerick Avenger (3e4784) — 6/3/2013 @ 5:24 amOf Obama has about had his fill
Barack’s not his fave
He ranted and raved
But he’s right: O’s talents are nil.
This is all about putting a wall up between Obama and Hillary in the minds of those low-information voters who are becoming disallusioned with Obama. That way the Democrats can get back to the unspoken meme: “Socialism could work if only someone really, really Smart were in charge- so elect Hillary, she is soo smart!! and not like that bumbling Obama”
Smarty (273307) — 6/3/2013 @ 8:21 amI so hope Bill Clinton is writing a posthumous tell-all.
Kevin M (bf8ad7) — 6/3/2013 @ 10:28 amNot the only one;

narciso (3fec35) — 6/3/2013 @ 10:43 am13. That was back in 2011, when Bill Clinton was trying to persuade Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2012. (apparently this scene was staged in front of witnesses)
Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/3/2013 @ 10:54 am10.Comment by Milhouse (3d0df0) — 6/2/2013 @ 9:25 pm
She only didn’t screw up the cattle futures because she didn’t do anything; it was a transparent bribe. ?
If it had been genuine and not based on inside information (actually trades made for her) she would have bet on silver and gold futures that month.
Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/3/2013 @ 11:03 amMore abouut Lisa Jackson’s (ex-EPA Adminstrator) sockpuppet:

Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/3/2013 @ 11:06 amActually, this was more like a secret identity.
Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 6/3/2013 @ 11:07 amHilary Clinton is at least competent at politics and pushing her agenda. I’ve always been glad that, if we had to have Obama or Clinton, we got the stupider of two evils.
MT Geoff (a67ef4) — 6/3/2013 @ 11:52 amBill Clinton might well have called Obama incompetent. I’d be surprised if he did so in a way that can be clearly linked to him, though.
This may be an attempt to distinguish Hilary Clinton from Obama. I suspect it’s pointless; the low-information voter might yet go for the old Democrat but I see them voting for the young Democrat in the primaries. And if Hilary Clinton is the young Dem in the primaries, the Dems are really desperate.
I hope I’m not just thinking wishfully…
This Obama person is so incompetent that he can’t even find his own Columbia University transcripts.
Elephant Stone (6a6f37) — 6/3/2013 @ 12:46 pmThen again, neither can Columbia University !MT Geoff wrote:
Did we? President Obama has managed to push through not one but two very fundamental changes:
Could Mrs Clinton have accomplished the same things? Maybe, and maybe not; we’ll never know, since they’ve already been done. President Obama is absolutely lousy at the economy, and is a terrible Commander-in-Chief, but he has fundamentally altered the relationship between the federal government and the individual. He has harmed this country in getting these things done, but they were part of the liberal agenda, and he accomplished them.
The sadly realistic Dana (3e4784) — 6/3/2013 @ 12:47 pmWe should cut this Obama guy some slack. After all, he only read in the newspaper last week that he’s the President.
Elephant Stone (6a6f37) — 6/3/2013 @ 12:48 pmMT Geoff wishfully wrote:
It has been my stated position, for some time now, that Mrs Clinton will not be a candidate in 2016. Oh, I’m sure she’d like to be President, and probably believes that, damn it, she should be President, and should have been President since January 20, 2009, but she will be turning 69 years old near the end of the 2016 campaign and, quite frankly, looks every bit of, if not more than, her current 65 years. Her four years as Secretary of State were mostly undistinguished, capped by a big failure, and have worn hard on her. She simply looks tired and unhealthy to me.
The prescient Dana (3e4784) — 6/3/2013 @ 12:53 pm“This may be an attempt to distinguish Hilary Clinton from Obama.”
MT Geoff – It is tough. They both wear mom jeans.
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 6/3/2013 @ 1:05 pm@#23, Sadly realistic
MT Geoff (a67ef4) — 6/3/2013 @ 1:57 pmI suspect Clinton would have pushed through shutting down the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan even more harmfully than Obama has, that she’d have pushed tax rates higher yet and pushed even bigger “economic” plans, and she might have had the skills to get more gun control after Sandy Hook or Aurora. Obama is bad enough; with the same agenda and more support and skill, I think Clinton would have been worse. Of course I could be wrong.
