The Obama Doctrine

Filed under: Obama — DRJ @ 5:36 pm

[Guest post by DRJ]

GatewayPundit on what President Obama did today:

“Barack Obama told The Politico this morning that the Gulf oil spill was like 9-11.

Then he went golfing for 4 hours.”

President Obama is not a serious leader.

  1. I heard that that Palin lady knows something about oil spills. Maybe the president could send her to take charge.

  2. He may not be a serious leader because he went golfing, but he’s less than that, even, for making the comparison to 9/11.

He would like for people to think it was like 9/11, for 9/11 was not the fault of the US (at least for this purpose) and people generally thought the nation responded well (except for those snipping and sniping about Bush and his class room reading).

But this is not like 9/11, or “even Katrina”, this is a drawn out fiasco that began with inexperience, poor judgement, and inadequate preparation (going back before Obama), and continues because of feckless bureaucratic inertia (at least that seems to be the main reason).

What has he instinctively done about the situation?
    1. Ignored it.
    2. Blameshifted.
    3. Waffled (We’ve been on top of it the whole time, we haven’t talked to anybody).
    4. And when he “got serious” about doing something about it, what was it he did?
    – started looking for litigation targets and scapegoats to “kick a–”
    – schedule a meeting for next week

I don’t know if others have seen the MSM types talking about the racial aspect, “Oh no, the stereotypic image of the angry black man saying ‘kick a–’!!” Utter ridiculousness. The only reaction I had to his “show of anger” was, “You’ve gotta be kiddin’ me, nothing but posturing, and a bad job of it too.”

As was said on another thread, his performance is starting to garner sympathy, at least until you remember how determined he is to do things that are undermining the country.

  7. What is Obama laser focused on this week?

    Comment by daleyrocks — 6/13/2010 @ 7:55 pm

  8. His laser is focused on golf and money. Which makes him almost a Republican.

  9. There is the small matter of the U.S. Constitution – Article 1 Section 9
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Congress can’t do too much to change current law that will affect BP regarding the Gulf.
Thanks to Obama’s jawboning, virtually anything that even vaguely looks punitive will scream “Bill of Attainder”.

  10. Where is Michael “Fahrenheit 9/11″ Moore? Shouldn’t he be speaking out, or asking the president a question as he tees off?

    Comment by Icy Texan — 6/14/2010 @ 3:30 am

  11. Michael Moore, where are any of ‘em. The Sierra Club bought an ad in WaPo to say that Obama was doing an excellent job or something. Imagine the treatment Bush any other president would face with this. Golfing, dancing, blame throwing.

  12. If the media were fair, balanced and sane, they would have been all over this on day one. And they would have been all over BHO playing golf game while Rome burns. He sucks at golf, they cover him on that too.

    Obama hates Southern People.

  19. I see no one gives sources for their claim about Obama comparing the oil spill to 9/11. Oh, I know, Fux Noise said it was true.

  20. Doodlebug, did you not watch Obama’s speech? Or were you too busy watching Keith Olberman’s spittle on the MSNBC camera?

Seriously, this was just more of “Teh Narrative,” again. This poor schmoe didn’t even watch the speech, I would guess.
