As you know, I am a longtime fan of David French and his wife, Nancy. Their dedication to their family and their insights into faith, culture and politics are invaluable to many of us. They enrich the intellectual landscape of the American life as well as give us an example of how we are to live – warts and all. With that, I am saddened to see this request from David French:

I'm breaking my Twitter fast to ask for prayer.

My brilliant, courageous, and beautiful wife has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She has a long, hard road ahead, but we trust God. May he bless and comfort her as she endures this terrible trial. https://t.co/fgRhWpbBlv

Prayers for Nancy French: may she have courage and strength to walk through this fire and not lose hope. Prayers too for her family, that they bravely walk alongside side her without losing heart. Let’s hope for the best recovery possible and that in some way, our hope becomes her hope. May the Lord envelop them in His unlimited love.
