The World Naked Bike Ride (link NSFW) is an “international clothing-optional bike ride in which participants plan, meet and ride together en masse on human-powered transport to ‘deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer world.” Apparently it happens different days in different countries and towns. Today is New Orleans’ day for nude or near nude biking.
My guess is this happens primarily in big cities. Small cities might have only a couple of participants and IMO that just wouldn’t work.
As critics continued to suggest the U.S. deal with Mexico didn’t accomplish much, President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday morning there is more to the agreement than meets the eye.
“Importantly, some things….. …..not mentioned in yesterday press release, one in particular, were agreed upon. That will be announced at the appropriate time,“ the president wrote in a string of four tweets.
Trump was defending his newly announced agreement with Mexico in the face of reporting that much of what was in the deal was not new. In his tweets, he directly attacked the New York Times and CNN, calling them “the Enemy of the People.“
I love the NYT but despite what today’s story says, it was never a secret that Mexican Interior Minister had agreed to tougher measures at Mexico’s Southern border after her meeting w/then DHS Nielsen in March. She even said it on-the-record at the time.
JUST IN: •Mexican FM @m_ebrard says that if US/MX deal doesnt reduce migration in 90 days, MX & US agreed larger dialogue (including Brazil/Panam/CentralAm) to distribute responsabilities on asylum seekers.
•Ebrard says this is “unrevealed part” of deal Trump is referring to.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
The text of today’s piece is available here. It contains these words:
Whoever loves Me will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.
