Am I comparing O’Keefe w/ these heroes? Nah. He’s just your basic undercover journalist, doing exactly what undercover journalists have done for decades. (Why some people are all upset about it now isn’t really a mystery: liberal oxes are being gored this time.)
But O’Keefe and his colleagues do have cojones, which I respect, and a love for the truth and a desire to expose corruption, even at cost to themselves, which I respect even more.

humor and snarkiness aside, well done. i think republicans should seriously consider some kind of census-based lawsuit, challenging the count. i know the political doctinre might be an issue, but it is only an issue until it isn’t. Besides there are those precedents about one man, one vote. And you are not supposed to count the dead in that equasion.

Why the Austin one in particular? You aren’t from Texas, I thought. Surely you’re not making a quip about the Joe Stack attack. I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t stoop to that, but the reference is completely lost to me otherwise.
O’Keefe has a very interesting story, but I’m not surprised a less explosive story than the ACORN one has come forward. He’s still working, he’s obviously an intrepid journalist, and I think this is a major story. They can’t all be ACORN helping import child sex slaves (which EPWJ seems to find to be a point against O’Keefe for some reason).

The ABC News George Stephanopoulos interview of O’Keefe was painful. The interesting part of the story is what’s going on over at The Census, not O’Keefe or Brietbart. By the time The Census came up, I had grown tired of the whole interview. It’s hard to tell if George is great, awful, a bad reporter, or a political mastermind for needling the stale Sen. Landrieu incident using words that insinuate things not true.

Take the NewYork tapes for example.
We all know the infamous soundbyte of Volda from this tape. It was the most widely quoted portion of the tape.
Here’s how it is represented in Okeefe’s posted tape, and how it was reported;
Volda says-
“you get a tin and bury it down in there and you put the money right in and you put grass over it and you don’t tell a singlesoul but yourself where it is”
This is reported as a case in which an ACORN employee is advising Hannah to hide money from the government. And James edited it to appear just like that.
But here’s the entire statement by Volda, including the portions that James edited out-
Volda says-
“ when you buy, let me tell you something when you buy the house with aback yard. You get a tin if Jo is going to come beat you and want money you get a tin and bury itdown in there and you put the money right in and you put grass over it and you don’t tell a singlesoul but yourself where it is”
Who is the “Jo” who will “come beat you and want money” that Volda is referring to? Its Sonny the abusive pimp. Even James says in the unedited video that “well the reason why we are rushing is because she was working for this pimp and he was very abusive” .
The conversation they are having is about Sonny beating up Hannah and taking her money. Volda is advising “Eden” to hide her money from Sonny, not from the government.
Check this yourself if you don’t believe me.
James has removed at least half of what Volda said in order to misrepresent her advice. He has also removed the context and story of “Eden’s/Kenya’s” flight from abuse in his posted tapes.
This is obvious, and you’d know that if you had actually checked the videos out as you claimed to have.
Now, with respect to just this one edit, explain to me why that was necessary.
Also, consider this statement by your own Andrew last September on the Washington Ind.,
