The “Whitey” “Why’d He” Tape?

The big rumored tape of Michelle Obama talking about “Whitey” may be Michelle Obama talking about “Why’d he?”

Why’d he cut folks off medicaid?
Why’d he let New Orleans drown?
Why’d he do nothing about Jena?
Why’d he put us in Iraq for no reason?

“He” being George Bush, of course.

If that’s all it is, then Scary Larry Johnson will turn out to have been wrong again. That’d be a shocker.

  1. Given his track record, it is a wonder that ANYONE, even Levi, would continue to listen to that clown.

    JD (75f5c3)

  2. Why’d he let New Orleans drown?

If she said something that stupid, anything about “whitey” would be irrelevant.

    j curtis (c84b9e)

  3. Nah. The “why’d he” litany described above is typical liberal-stupid, not the kind of stupid that gets liberals in trouble. “Whitey,” on the other hand…

    Xrlq (b71926)

  4. Read some responses to “Booman”. So they love Obama and loathe Rethuglicans. What’s new? Still don’t see what the attraction really is other than liberal guilt about race. On other blogs abortion is a litmus test and thus Urkel will always trump a McCain. Always wondered about the hysteria about fear that Roe v. Wade would be overturned. So what? It would revert to states’ to decide the issue. Apparently national security concerns don’t mean dick to some. The 31% in latest poll who like Urkel’s stance on nat. security are apparently obsessed with their new savior.
Would be nice though if an Obama admin. released many of those poor, victimized incarcerated black yoots. I’m sure that given more chances they will see the light.
? Given Hill’s landslide in Puerto Rico, is it more about her hubby freeing PR terrorists and such or fact that Hispanics don’t approve of kaka urkel? (yeah, I know the names are juvenile, but some small payback for last eight years of bush/cheney name-calling.)
Anyway how much of all this exposure about Obama actually filters down to the man on the street? The papers and nightly news are gung ho obamabots and will make every effort to show Mccain as Bush II, old and unhealthy, warmonger, etc.

    madmax333 (500598)

  5. Nah. The “why’d he” litany described above is typical liberal-stupid

This is like a quiz that one has to pass to be a Baracky supporter. You must believe those things for admission.

    JD (75f5c3)

  6. Even this version is bad. What should Bush have done about 6 black punks who kicked the crap out of a white boy? It is the president’s job to deal with it? Is this here idea or her husband’s idea of the federal role in our lives? And is Bush responsible for how a black-dominated N.O. Democratic party machine dealt with levees and a hurricane?

But with our soundbite culture, if she didn’t actually say “whitey”, it won’t matter.

    martin (cd5d90)

  7. martin – Given how in the tank the media is for Baracky, I suspect that even had she screamed “whitey” at the top of her lungs, they would just sweep it under the rug.

    JD (75f5c3)

  8. It should be noted that the “why’d he” comments are all coming from Obamamaniac sources. That would seem to indicate Team Obama is trying to do a little damage control and spin it their way regardless of the actual content. If Obama’s people know what’s on the tape, you’d think they would leak the actual tape to their people so they could post it and spin the context just like they’ve done on every single other racist comment. They’ve been acting as if we’re all a bunch of stupid rubes who can’t understand English unless they translate it for us for months now.

    Sarah Banderleigh (53c98d)

  9. If all she said was “Why’d he” then why doesn’t Obama release the tape himself? One answer would be that Michelle sitting at a table with Farrakhan is damn near as bad as saying “whitey.” Plus, who knows what Wright and Farrakhan said while she was sitting there.

    TRO (8e608b)

  10. Who Blew Up Da Owl?

    See-Dubya (0ad28c)

  11. TRO’s got a good point… Who knows what the REST of the video shows these people saying…

I mean, it would be hard to say “I never knew they had these beliefes” if he’s three rows back while Wright slams the White Man…

    Scott Jacobs (fa5e57)

  12. Scott – It might be hard to say that with a straight face, but if Baracky has shown us anything, he has no problem saying whatever is the most politically expedient at any given point in time. With a media firmly in the bag for him, why would he worry about that?

    JD (75f5c3)

  13. By my reading of the Booman post, he doesn’t seem to claim to have seen a tape; he seems to be offering a preemptive excuse in case such a tape surfaces, with speculative quotes, and two layers of exculpatory translations.

Anyway, this is all a distraction from the real work we should be doing to achieve the hopeful change that America has been waiting for.

    gp (72be5d)

  14. Well, this is Larry Johnson’s story on his site today. He knows people who know people who saw the tape:

I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!!

This level of evidence is not going to hurt Barack If-You-Want-To-Be-Happy-For-The-Rest-Of-Your-Life Obama and it will distract from more credible stories.

    nk (6c75e0)

  15. This will do nothing but be a distraction from the hard work ahead, like Michelle struggling to keep fresh fruit in the house for her children.

    JD (5f0e11)

  16. Why’d he cut folks off medicaid?
Why’d he let New Orleans drown?
Why’d he do nothing about Jena?
Why’d he put us in Iraq for no reason?

Was she wearing her mink coat while asking this? That’s always plays well.

    Tom (496827)

  17. Why’d he allow so many minority families to move into homes which they could not afford?

    Oops.

    Ed (532eeb)

  18. If the Jena quote is there, then I’ll believe the lefty spinners. “Whitey do nothing about Jena” is bad ebonics even for TUCC.
Unless Phlegmler said it, of course.

    rhodeymark (e86321)

  19. How can BooMan speculate about how people may have misheard a tape he isn’t even sure exists?

    MayBee (fe7621)

  20. 15 – “This will do nothing but be a distraction from the hard work ahead, like Michelle struggling to keep fresh fruit in the house for her children.”

Don’t forget the ballet and piano lessons. Those simple just-like-regular-folks necessities like water and shelter don’t pay for themselves you know.

    Jack Klompus (cf3660)

  21. I suspect Michelle was very much aware of the “Why’d he”,” Whitey” pun. She agrees with both interpretations.

    Joe Parana (f21a78)

  22. 18 – I’m nominating Pfleger for the Al Jolson / Kingfish Image Award this year. When he goes on stage to receive it I want “Turkey in the Straw” or maybe a choice cut from Eminem’s Marshall Mathers album to play. He can start his acceptance speech with either a hearty wide-eyed “Lookie heeyah!” or maybe a fist pump, a “yo-yo-yo” and a mention that somebody is “in da house.”

    Jack Klompus (cf3660)

  23. Larry Johnson is a great example of why we’ve had so many intelligence failures over the last generation or two.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  24. The difference between Pfleger and Wright is: whenever anybody questions Wright, he responds “You obviously haven’t read all of the works of Dr. Cone, and are therefore unqualified to discuss theology.” Whenever anybody questions Pfleger, he immediately backs down and apologizes. Pfleger is crazy AND spineless.

    gp (72be5d)

  25. “You obviously haven’t read all of the works of Dr. Cone, and are therefore unqualified to discuss theology.”

That’s interesting because on another thread when discussing torture, Levi links to a 300 page document that supposedly backs up his loud, obnxious assertions and then he admits that he hasn’t even read the document that he links to. When he gets called on it he says, “You don’t have to read something to know its contents. I’ve gotten A’s on papers I’ve written and tests I’ve taken about books I’ve never read.” So according to Levy it really isn’t necessary to read documents, articles, reports, books, etc. to make bold assertions.

    Jack Klompus (cf3660)

  26. Then again, “whitey” vs. “why’d he” may be a false dichotomy. At least one version of the allegedly existent tape has Michelle Obama saying both:

Once again, the white man keeps us down. What’s up with Whitey? Why’d he attack Iraq, Why’d he let Katrina happen, Why’d he leave millions of children behind. This is the legacy the white man gives us.

    Xrlq (b71926)

  27. I have always felt that the best answer to the type of crap that we think she said is a one-way ticket to Africa, revocation of passport, and a profound apology for the slavery that ended a long, long time ago.

Not one of my ancestors were involved in the slave trade and I am sick and tired of whining complaining black racists demanding more and more of me while they and theirs act like a constant drain on our society.

    martin (cd5d90)

  28. ok, THAT one would be pretty damning…

    Scott Jacobs (d3a6ec)

  29. 27 martin – I would just sigh roll my eyes pull out the checkbook and say, “Okay fine. How much? Name your fee. Flat rate. And once that check is posted your end of the deal is the STFU about this stuff once and for all. Do whatever you want with the money. Invest it, start a business, put it in the collection plate at TUCC, buy and distribute a copy of Alex Haley’s Roots to every human on the planet ala Gideon’s Bible, I don’t care. But your end of the deal is to never, ever, for the rest of time bitch about the state of racial relations in this country ever again.” Would a self-appointed CPA of the entire aggrieved community take the offer or find some sort of postmodern doubletalk to not only take the money but also proclaim it racist to claim that it’s enough?

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  30. #26, I mean… We tried #27, and the country we gave them is a cess pool now.

    Scott Jacobs (d3a6ec)

  31. Jack, you’re a rcist to even suggest that, and thus I denounce you…

    Scott Jacobs (d3a6ec)

  32. I sentence myself to endless screenings of Eve’s Bayou and love jones.

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  33. #32 nah, better choices are Blacula, Jungle Fever and for racial balance Wertmuller’s Seven Beauties. The Bush regime could throw moonbats into vats of feces and I guess it isn’t torture if they embrace it vis a vis our own troops experiencing water boarding in training, but a big violation of “human” rights as torture on islamofreaks. Question: if islamospussies want to die and get 72 virgins who look like Arafish, why cannot we indulge them that kindness? Of course wrap them in pig offal first.

    madmax333 (3d4769)

  34. I’d follow up the first pic with Scream Blacula Scream as well although my all-time blaxploi is Truck Turner with Isaac Hayes and Scatman Crothers. I still haven’t seen any of Lina Wertmuller – thanks for the tip!

“The Bush regime could throw moonbats into vats of feces and I guess it isn’t torture if they embrace it vis a vis our own troops experiencing water boarding in training”

I think that exact scenario has already been performed at a Hyde Park, Chicago coffeeshop/community theater and described as a “brave, seething performance that speaks truth to power” by The Nation AND the UTNE Reader. When they take the show to Cambridge, Mass they’re going to have Noam Chomsky guest star as Khalid Sheikh Muhammad.

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  35. I’d make you watch “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”, but only because I hate you… 🙂

    Scott Jacobs (d3a6ec)

  36. Oooh Scott, there’s a copy of Leonard Part 6 here with your name on it!!

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  37. “Meteor Man”.

    Check and Mate…

    Scott Jacobs (d3a6ec)

  38. ARRRGGHHH!!!! CURSES AT LOSING BLACK MOVIE CHESS!!!! Oh dammit! That was that ACLU report on how George Bush kidnaps Muslim children and dunks their heads and Korans in deep fryers I was supposed to read! Oh well no need I know for a fact what it said anyway.

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  39. #34 “Perhaps one of the greatest intellectuals of his generation”- a moonbat dedication I recall extolling the genius of Chump Chomsky. He, Mikey Moore and Carter are real pieces of brown 29.

In the Wertmuller flick, Giancarlo Giannini is imprisoned in Italy in WWII. He tells the fat commandant that he loves her (played by Shirley Stoller). She replies that he doesn’t love her and only wants something to eat. A much more attractive Nazi commandant around ’74 (Elsa, Bitch of Buchenwald) had the prisoners service her and if she failed to climax, they were summarily executed. One US airman manages to satisfy her sexual heat and is asked how he did it. “I have two speeds- slow and never and I just set it for never”. For over the top laughs, try Andy Warhol’s Dracula. “I must have the blood of a virgin!”
A good black flick was Shaft, the original with Isaac Hayes singing.

    madmax333 (3d4769)

  40. Love the Warhol flicks. His Frankenstein came back into the theaters in 3-D around ’82 when I was 12 and got to see it at the neighborhood 4-plex that didn’t give a shit who they let in!

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  41. “how stella got her groove back” – i was driving around the sf bay area years back, and “stella”‘s author terry mcmillan was being interviewed on the radio…

viciously slagging whitey. several years after that, the stella story came to an end in real life. here are the
    salacious, titillating details.

    assistant devil's advocate (4f176b)

  42. aw heck, linkee no work. suffice it to say that the young buck was gay, and he and terry had a nasty divorce, replete with documented homophobia on her part and lust for lucre on his part. couldn’t happen to a nicer gal, i thought.

    assistant devil's advocate (4f176b)

  43. I have a friend who worked security / stage hand work at a concert venue in Philly. One night he had to work the Erykah Badu concert and was informed of her demands which included “no white people back stage.” I don’t know that one stacks up against Van Halen’s no brown M&M’s clause.

    Jack Klompus (b796b4)

  44. “I have always felt that the best answer to the type of crap that we think she said is a one-way ticket to Africa, revocation of passport, and a profound apology for the slavery that ended a long, long time ago.”

    stef (7417a5)

  45. 44, but you, Levi, ADA, Leviticus do manage to say them over and over.

    PCD (5c49b0)

  46. The best “black movie” so far is Cotton Comes To Harlem.

Hey, Patterico, you can do click and drag on the comments form. Cool.

    nk (6c75e0)

  47. “44, but you, Levi, ADA, Leviticus do manage to say them over and over.”

And yet no “ticket to africa.”

    stef (b07c26)

  48. Its interesting to note here just much people on this blog, most of them just hate the Obamas. This hatred has blinded your senses to the point that you have forgotten to listen to your own conscience and sense of fairness. It shows just how desperate you are all becoming. Desperation is fear-driven. This post is about someone’s disingenuous attempt to twist and misrepresent the comments made by a fellow American. Even Booman in his comment registers his utter disappointment in his friends underhandedness and even threatened to cut ties with him if he were to publish this falsehood.
I’m going to be honest with you. Both SusanHu and Larry Johnson have been friends of mine. They have both done a lot for me and I am grateful and indebted to them. Any issues I’ve had with their activities in this election I have kept private. I haven’t visited their site in four months because I found it too personally painful to read what they were writing and I did not want to be tempted to respond. I thought I owed them that. But loyalty can only go so far. If they publish this allegation tomorrow, I will no longer speak with them. And I say that with great sorrow.

This election has ruined a lot of friendships. I have tried hard not to let it ruin mine. But smears of this type are unforgivable. I have been forebearing. Perhaps, in retrospect, I have been too forebearing. That’s all I say. This is too painful to me.
I didnt hear one person man up and like Booman, condemn this behaviour, instead you have more of your rantings and sometimes racist comments that do not represent the best in us. I am deeply disappointed. And Martin, #27,
I have always felt that the best answer to the type of crap that we think she said is a one-way ticket to Africa, revocation of passport, and a profound apology for the slavery that ended a long, long time ago
You are a big disgrace to yourself and to your country. Your views are racist, bigotted and outdated. you represent a generation of Americans that need to die off so the nation can move on. There is no place for that kind of talk. You dont like Obama, granted, dont vote for him. You dont need to make stupid racist generalisations to show your preference. Let us be adults. Let us defend the truth and condemn evil.

  49. I didnt hear one person man up and like Booman, condemn this behaviour, instead you have more of your rantings and sometimes racist comments that do not represent the best in us. I am deeply disappointed. And Martin, #27,

Lovey – Thank you for your selective self righteousness. I seemed to have missed your condemnations of Reverend Wright, Father Pfleger and Barack for his associations and obfuscations of his relationships with those individuals.

    daleyrocks (ae5951)

  50. love2008, descending into the race-hustling identity politics of the Democrats and you are disappointed in us? That’s hilarious.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  51. Love 2008 is a Barack I-Give-A-Tingle Obama moby. Do not, ever, take anyhting he/she says seriously.

    nk (be56c0)

  52. #49 you racist! Don’t you know pointing out what a black leftist himself says is racist in and of itself? Michelle and Urkel and their minions have absolute moral authority because whitey made their lives so miserable- student loans to repay, fresh fruit and lessons for kids, decent mansion and Porsche for Wright, etc.
As far as the Catholic priest goes, I thought they took a vow of poverty? But seems he’s able to give $$ to Urkel campaigns, not to mention receiving nice earmarks from gummint. Move on, nothing to see here. Hey, if Acorn is deeply attached to Obama, what are Republicans going to do to prevent more voter fraud, etc.?

    madmax333 (a3b746)

  53. Disparagement of BHO is intensified due to the collective disappointment in the failure of the political system to weed-out this phenomenal light-weight, empty-suit.
    No Hate Involved.

    Comment by stef — 6/2/2008 @ 7:43 pm

Obama’s loony friends like Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers and Father Pfleger have said a lot of them. I’m sure that’s what you meant, wasn’t it stef?

    daleyrocks (ae5951)

  56. Stef-
evidence of this? You keep saying that; explain why “love it or leave it, I’ll buy your tickets” is just *too* horrific to say.

    Foxfier (15ac79)

  57. God Damn America is not too horrific to say. The white man invented AIDS in order to kill people of color is not too horrific to say.

Yo daddy and yo granddaddy should give back their 401k’s because the color of their skin was the only reason they got them, is not too horrific to say.

Judaism is a “gutter religion” is not too horrific to say.

Middle American white people cling to religion because they have an antipathy toward people not like them …is not too horrific to say.

Don’t believe the lies about the American Dream is not too horrific to say.

Italians look down their garlic noses at everyone else is not too horrific to say.

A generation of people needs to “die off” (because they believe that people who come here to attack our country and our countrymen might be happier in their land of origin)…is not too horrific to say.

It seems to me that Frank Marshall Davis, radical professors, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dorhn, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Meeks, Rashid Khalidi, Ali Abunimah, Edward Said, Michael Pfleger, …have not only uttered things too horrific to say…but have lived lives bathed in horrific contempt of this country in general, and of white society in specific.

If anyone needs to “die off”..it is a generation that is treasonous and traitorous to its own country and despicably slanderous of its own countrymen. And, as long as we are wishing people to “die off”…the enablers and sychophants who fuel this treason can join the traitors in a burial at sea. I wouldn’t taint the ground we have defended with their corpse, let them drift to an island and be eaten along the way. The air here would be fresher without them.

    cfbleachers (4040c7)

  58. Wow. This site confirms many of the views anybody to the left of crazy has about the GOP’s base. What a bunch of raging, bitter racist fools. Racism is bad from any race, I agree, but you people are just plain disgusting.

    Fark you all.

    Whcgonzo (d13821)

  59. See JD? They agree with you!

    We’re all racists!

    Scott Jacobs (fa5e57)

  60. Yes, we are typical white neocon racist scumwads. I am beginning to suspect that Barack Hussein Obama is the second coming of Christ. At least his disciples think so. Who will be his Judas? Either that or he could be the anti-christ. I wonder what the neo-nazis and KKK think about him? I know that non-racist former Grand Kleagle of the KKK Bobby Byrd has talked about white N’s, but is he down with collegial traditions of the senate and willing to work for Mr. O?
Is there life before death? From what I hear and see here in moonbat Palm Beach, O will trounce McCain. I gather all the bumper stickers praising Edwards will be down with the mulatto version of him.

    madmax333 (c5aae7)

  61. Yes, we’re all Racist, Nazi, Fascist, Sexist, Homophobic, anti-Scientific, fearful, repressed and probably closet homosexuals.
(Never understood why that last one was supposed to be such a dire insult, when the folks saying it supposedly see nothing wrong with homosexuality, but meh.)

There. Happy? Now please go back to the DU and Kos’ kids and leave us alone.

    Foxfier (15ac79)

  62. Whcgonzo is just another driveby troll.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  63. Gee we are racist because we don’t prostrate ourselves at the alter of white guilt. We don’t bend over to submit ourselves to ritual reaming whenever someone of a suitable hue decides to take out the frustrations of their own failed lives on us. We don’t use foolish minorities to advance our attempts to run the world according to some sick cross between Marxism and Plato’s Republic.

Yeah, that makes conservatives racist. And PS, this site doesn’t really contain that many conservatives. Bush himself doesn’t come close to qualifying.

    martin (cd5d90)

  64. So far…if one was willing to objectively create a scorecard on a left-right spectrum, of who…precisely…has uttered the most plainly “disgusting” racist remarks, the LEFT side of the spectrum would be littered with checkmarks. The right side would be virtually unblemished.

Racist remarks that have been made known or have arisen or been ACCUSED of being so…. during the Obama Presidential campaign come from:

    1. Jeremiah Wright
    2. Michael Pfleger
    3. Louis Farrakhan
    4. Michelle Obama
    5. Otis Moss
    6. “Frank” Marshall Davis
    7. Geraldine Ferraro
    8. Bill Clinton
    9. Hillary Clinton

The left is filled with racists. They simply are too willfully narrow to recognize it, when it travels in various directions.

And this imbecilic ruse they keep conjuring up that “the RIGHT is going to play the race card, the RIGHT is going to play the patriotism card”…is too obvious for anyone above the IQ of a kumquat.

Nice try, treasonistas. Crap all over the country and then try to peer pressure people into not questioning patriotism. Raise racism flags and beat people with them and dare them to respond or you will call them racists. You really are children.

    cfbleachers (4040c7)
