Hillary Addresses Email Investigation in Daytona Beach (Video)

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 5:00 pm

Hillary Clinton addressed the re-opened (yes, re-opened, lefties!) FBI investigation relating to her emails at a rally in Daytona Beach today, calling Director Comey’s announcement of the re-opening of the investigation “unprecedented” and “deeply troubling.” Video is below.

This is the quickly coalescing narrative among leftists and Big Media (but I repeat myself). Stories are already touting the fact that partisan hack Loretta Lynch advised against Director Comey sending his letter to Congress. Lost in all this partisan analysis is that Democrats nominated someone who was under federal investigation for most of her campaign. They can’t really be shocked when the FBI becomes involved again shortly before the election.

Above: Hillary Clinton thinks it’s all very funny

As Donald Trump properly notes (did I just say that?), Hillary has “nobody to blame but herself.”

I have selected the relevant 90 seconds for you, which will play when you hit the play button.

Now, I’m sure that some of you may have heard about a letter that the FBI director sent out yesterday. [BOOS] Well, if you’re like me, you probably have a few questions about it. It is pretty strange — it’s pretty strange to put something like that out with such little information right before an election. In fact, in fact, it’s not just strange, it’s unprecedented and it is deeply troubling because voters deserve to get full and complete facts. And so, we’ve called on Director Comey to explain everything right away, put it all out on the table. Right?

Now, of course, Donald Trump is already making up lies about this. He is doing his best to confuse, mislead, and discourage the American people. Ah think it’s time for Donald Trump to stop fearmongering, to stop disgracing himself, to stop attacking our democracy. We can’t let him get away with this, can we?

How it is “attacking our democracy” to point out that a major party candidate for the presidency is under federal investigation with 10 days to go in the election?

  1. what was that line popular in madison ‘this is how democracy works’ she could only scrounge 500 in a predominantly african american venue.

Mindful that every particle of matter and every quantum of energy that exists now existed at the beginning of the universe and will exist until the end of the universe, I have come to take the long view about this election and worry instead that I bought grated cheese and spaghetti sauce but no spaghetti.

  6. i stock up on pasta cause of it’s a staple and i never buy spaghetti sauce cause there’s so much you can do with pasta with just oil and herbs and whatever you have at hand

but that doesn’t help you right now in your current pickle

But you are allowed to use it on stuff that is not spaghetti.

  8. So if I understand the media narrative properly, it’s attacking our Democracy, subverting our cherished political system, inspiring violence, etc. for Donald Trump to say “the election is rigged”. At the same time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announcing that they’re re-opening an investigation into a woman who has been under investigation for her entire candidacy is an attempt to rig the election… which is also subverting our cherished political system, inspiring violence, etc.

Do I understand the message being sent properly?

    No, Maudie.

It’s ‘pretty strange’ to have a secret server – or is it servers- in the first place, which is the genesis of all your problems.

  13. What should really worry conservative ideologues is not if Maudie wins but what to do with the millions who vote for Trump. There’s still a little of the ‘Goldwater Girl’ in her. My own 85 year old mother, a ‘GG’ in ’64 who kept a very flat can of Goldwater Ginger Ale in the den for years. They hide but don’t shake some of those core beliefs.

Even if 10% or 20% of Trump voters drift away, there’s still that pragmatic core that’s rejected ideological conservatism in its present guise for the pragmatists. And there certainly wasn’t any pragmatic candidates aside of Trump this cycle. Especially from Texas.

Hillary knows that the FBI can’t publicly disclose info about an ongoing investigation. But she also knows that the LIVs don’t know that.

True story. Like anyone would have reason to doubt me. Sometime between VE and VJ day my uncle Tony, Ewe Ess Navy, is stalking the streets of Naples. Americans weren’t really popular. One of the ways they tried to express their disdain was to say, instead of “Americano,” to say “Merde de Cano.” Really fast, hoping no one would notice.

Uncle Tony noticed. Boy, did he notice.

Back when it would have been a simple matter of 30,000 files on a memory stick, but instead she drags ass until the minute before U.S. Marshals are ready to kick in the door, then grudgingly dumps a truckload of boxes of unsearchable hardcopies, not so much.

One of the classic examples of how Italian and Spanish are different is Spaghetti al Burro. No, it’s not spaghetti with a donkey, s**theads. It’s with butter. .But I can speak only for myself. After this election cycle, what the h3ll do I know? Maybe you people like your spaghetti with donkeys.

Never combined the butter with the olive oil. It’s Ghost Busters scale crossing-the-streams level wizardry, in my book. But what the hey.

He got asked a question about if he carried Utah would it help Hillary? He didn’t answer that the state ordinarily would vote overwhelmingly for the Republican and switching from Trump to McMullin doesn’t help Hillary (as Trump is claiming) – only a 3-way or 4-way vote split could help Hillary, and not even that because Hillary is polling second or third in all polls.

He said Mitt Romney was not financing him – he’d like it but it didn’t happen? Doesn’t he know co-ordination is illegal?
