  6. A lot of the frequent fliers here rely on the “recent comments” widget in the upper right of the blog to follow the most lively conversation. To keep new posts from being overlooked, I believe Karl started commenting “Ding!” when he posted entries (mimicking a short order cook).

    That plus Republican racism.

  13. I had to fight my way thru 3 motorcycle gangs on my morning commute this morning … up from 2 gangs yesterday … new sawed off shotgun helped alot 🙂 gas supplies running low had to turn off supercharger …

  14. Here in Illinois the sun came up; gas still flowing at the pumps; streets and traffic signals still working–the motorcycle gangs haven’t made it this far west, I guess.

    On the down side, Durbin is still our senator.

  21. I have had two, yes two!, nights with a solid eight hours sleep since the shutdown slowdown started. It was the government that was waking me up after four hours, I’m sure now.
