Greetings From the Future

Greetings west coasters, and midwesterners from the year 2011.  Its really cool.  We have rocket cars, and video phones. And the Iphone now plays flash video and is on Verizon.

And it turns out, Star Trek is actually a documentary.

Joking aside, happy new year.

  1. Happy New Year – but we had rocket cars in the ’60s.

  2. I heard of a flash upgrade coming for iPads and iPods.

  3. Really? That would be nice. I am on an iPad right now and the biggest limitation is the lack of flash support.

I have thought about getting the $5 browser that supposedly supports flash but the reviews are not great. Has anyone used it?

  5. It turns out that a Star Trek convention is actually a documentary of Aaron’s life. ;)

  6. What I want from ST is the medical tri-corder where all the doc has to do is wave it over the person and tell them what the problem is without all those damn tests.

  7. P – I have heard nothing good about that browser, and rumor has it that flash upgrade due in FEB or MAR. Rumor also has it that William Yelverton seduced his goat and his kitten in a menage a beastiality to celebrate the New Year.

  8. Happy New Year, everybody.

So, should I get a Harley rat or a Kawasaki Z1 to come out West with? (Those are the only choices — don’t want to hear about Hondas or Ducattis.)

  9. Harley rat? I have a ’76 AMF Lowrider fully restored and customized I will part with for the right price ;-)

  10. Maybe he’s mating the kitten and the goat. He could wind up with a cat that can eat its own din-din tin.

  11. Looked it up on BlueBook, JD, and I’m not sure I should spend that much.

But I’ll stop by you and buy you a steak. ;)

  12. The Harley might have a marginally more comfortable riding position than the Z1,
but the Z1 will vibrate less, which on a long trip is a killer.
Just ask a motor-cop which one he prefers to ride for 8-10 hours a day.

  13. Shaft drive is for wimps.

  14. The KZ has shaft drive. The Z1 has chain drive.

  15. Mine was lowered by two inches at the rear end, extended by two inches at the forks, and bored to 1,000 ccs from 900. For street racing. Not that I ever raced it.

  16. Try to return your iPad, patterico. I hear the second generation is going to be much better than the first (like every fricking thing Apple does).

  17. Why don’t you just buy a plane ticket, JD? It’ll be a whole lot cheaper.

  18. Too bad you can’t talk and surf the web at the same time on that ol’ verizon network. Maybe in the future future you will.

    PS. you can on AT&T!
