The original story says the owner was distracted by a pelican and dropped his cell phone. Does anyone see a pelican in that video?

I do not see a pelican, but I also don’t see any reason why this driver would veer off the road. It’s a very lame accident, except for the exceptional waste of an awesome car.
Even our lame accidents are bigger in Texas!

I really don’t like people who talk on their cellphones when they drive, especially when they’re driving absurdly over-powered European sports cars. I really like salt water swamps, though.

I’m thinking that the owner realized that he paid $2 million for some French-built piece of crap with a life expectancy of 37,000 miles and is now looking to recoup from his insurance.

No way that driver was distracted by external circumstances. He was just $2 million worth of stupid.

I was also a little suspicious at how the two guys in the truck just happened along with a camera. A bit like when actor Eddie Griffin suspiciously crashed an Enzo whilst doing publicity for his upcoming film. Time will tell.

$2 million does not buy you an exemption from the laws of physics.

Check the financial status of the owner. I smell insurance fraud, like Gazzer
