Lucky Nines

It’s September 9, 2009, or 09/09/09.
This won’t happen again until 10/10/2010 and the single-digit repeating date won’t happen again until 01/01/2101.
If you’re into numbers, especially nines, enjoy!

JD (8541bc) — 9/9/2009 @ 6:59 amAnyone remember Danger Mouse? It’s an old British cartoon from a couple of decades ago (at least) about a super-spy/agent who’s a white mouse with an eye-patch, his side-kick Penfold (who was, I think, a hampster), and yadda yadda yadda. It was an obvious take on the James Bond genre.
Anyways, their “Q” was this german-accented gerbil or whatever (Dr. Squackencluck), and he’d get asked a question, and respond with a variable amount of “nein”, like “nein nein nein”, and it would always the go to Penfold who would have a calculator and who would always say the total…
“Twenty-seven…”
Scott Jacobs (445f98) — 9/9/2009 @ 7:55 am“single digit repeating date won’t happen again until 01/01/2101″… we don’t count 11/11/11?
Granted, 12/12/12 might not be a “single digit repeating date”, but if not, then neither is 10/10/10.
Holmwood (1b1a7c) — 9/9/2009 @ 8:11 amA movie titled “9” opens today.

James (fe056a) — 9/9/2009 @ 3:20 pmI’m just relieved Britain made it through 9/9/9 without an incident like the one we experienced on 9/11.
Xrlq (62cad4) — 9/9/2009 @ 8:14 pm999. That’s the number of the anti-Christ. Upside down. 🙁
