Dennis Kucinich Bows Out

Dennis Kucinich has dropped out of the Presidential race:

“Cleveland Congressman Dennis Kucinich is dropping out of the Democratic race for president.

Kucinich will make the announcement Friday at a news conference in Cleveland. In an exclusive interview with Plain Dealer editors and reporters, Kucinich said he will explain his “transition” tomorrow.

“I want to continue to serve in Congress,” he said. Kucinich said he will not endorse another Democrat in the primary. Kucinich is seeking a seventh term in Congress, but his long-shot bid for the White House has drawn four Democratic opponents.”

Unfortunately for Kucinich, I doubt many people will notice his absence from the Presidential race. Nevertheless, let’s take this opportunity to enjoy a photo of Dennis Kucinich and his wife, the lovely Elizabeth Kucinich:

  1. Holy crap Batman!! If I’d known she was that hot I’d vote for him just so that she’d be first lady.

  2. Yeah, I pretty much disagree with him and everything he stands for, but I can’t fault his taste in women.

  3. Wow. Never saw his wife before. Gorgeous!

  4. Better keep her away from Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton never showed such good taste in women.

  5. Why is Kucinich in the picture at all. Hasn’t anyone heard of photoshop??

  6. Dennis Kucinich got a grand total of five votes in Nevada. He may have gotten no votes at all if not for the Area 51 caucus.

  7. Now that’s he’s finally done, and it’s a closed case that he will never be elected Leader of The Free World, let’s see how long Elizabeth sticks around. Who among us will be surprised if in the not-too-distant future, she goes Heather Mills on Dennis the Menace?

  8. LN, I live in Nevada and one of the guys at my company is a dyed-in-the-wool Kucinich supporter. I think he missed the caucus last weekend, otherwise Kucinich’s total would have increased by 20%.

  9. Dennis must be standing on a chair in that photo….she’s at least a foot taller than him.

  10. Judging from the photo, it seems Dennis has more important matters to look after.

  12. Who among us will be surprised if in the not-too-distant future, she goes Heather Mills on Dennis the Menace?

I wouldn’t be, but would be if it was because he dropped out of the race. I mean, seriously, did she ever think he had a chance in the first place?

  15. I think I read that she met him during his 2004 campaign for the Presidency, so she knew of his loserness (with regards to his Presidential aspirations, of course). She fell for him apparently because she is a hard-core lefty just like he is. One no doubt with some sort of daddy complex too.

  16. I’m actually surprised the headline here is “Dennis Kucinich Bows Out.” Given the general level of respect he commands, I’d expected something more along the lines of “Dennis Kucinich Returns to the Mothership.”

  17. What does she see in the loon?

That’s easy…she hails from the Area 51 of the British Isles.

  18. I want to be kinda snarky, but….

Honestly, all I can do is wish them happyness.

    They look really, honestly happy.

  19. Well, look at the bright side. Now he can go back to his hollow tree and make more cookies.

  20. She claims love at first sight. She was working with some monetary policy group (and she’s British, btw) and met him at a meeting in his Congressional capacity.

  22. Before one can “bow out” don’t they actually have to be in the running?

  23. What a week: we lost as potential (yeah, right) First Ladies both Elizabeth Kucinich and the equally babelicious Jeri Thompson.

But that photo — puhleeze! Mrs Kucinich is six feet tall, while Mr Kucinich is — shorter. Here we have yet another example of the oh-so-feminist-equality Democrats trying to make a munchkin man look taller than his statuesque wife, so he won’t look unmanly.

  24. It’s ok, Dana. I’m six foot three myself so I don’t mind this visual joke. Hold your hand so that the thumb and forefinger are at right angles to each other. Then position it so that that the forefinger points up and the thumb points horizontally. Then position it so that the thumb points up and the forefinger points horizontally. Maybe that’s what Mrs. Kucinic …err … sees in … err … him. 😉

  25. NK is hereby nominated for the Sick Joke of the Day Award! 🙂 Some things just shouldn’t be contemplated.
