Lewandowski: Don’t Touch Me!!!!!!!

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 7:46 am

Classic. If you’re strapped for time, the last minute is the one to watch.

Watch the set of his mouth. Reading his mind is not difficult here: “Don’t hit her on national TV. Don’t hit her on national TV. Don’t hit her on national TV. Don’t…”

  14. Meanwhile, more allegations of Clinton’s reset malfeasance…

“Consider Skolkovo, an “innovation city” of 30,000 people on the outskirts of Moscow, billed as Russia’s version of Silicon Valley—and a core piece of Mrs. Clinton’s quarterbacking of the Russian reset.

Following his 2009 visit to Moscow, President Obama announced the creation of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission. Mrs. Clinton as secretary of state directed the American side, and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov represented the Russians. The stated goal at the time: “identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the Russian and American people.”

The Kremlin committed $5 billion over three years to fund Skolkovo. Mrs. Clinton’s State Department worked aggressively to attract U.S. investment partners and helped the Russian State Investment Fund, Rusnano, identify American tech companies worthy of Russian investment. Rusnano, which a scientific adviser to President Vladimir Putin called “Putin’s child,” was created in 2007 and relies entirely on Russian state funding.

    What could possibly go wrong?”

  16. The problem with Trump is that as a billionaire he’s always been able to “afford” to make enemies. You can do that in the private sector when you’re the Boss Hogg who gets to say “You’re hired!” or “You’re fired!”
But in politics, you have to do a lot of kissy-face in order to win people’s public support and their vote. Unlike on ‘The Apprentice,’ the voters do the “hiring” and “firing.”

He bizarrely trashed John McCain last year for being shot down and becoming a POW, and so he shouldn’t be surprised when daughter Meghan retaliates by zapping him on TV as she did this past weekend.

Why couldn’t we have had a Rubio/Jindal ticket?
Oh, that’s right … before there was a #NeverTrump movement, there was a #NeverRubio movement! (LOL)

  25. Does anyone find this sort of programming entertaining or enlightening? You can see the same thing on Fox’s Kelly show. It’s almost always the case that the conservative/Republican designee is put in a position of having to sit quietly why the other side unloads a barrel of venom. The hostess, Kelly say, nods politely all the while lending credence to the entire process. I think the idea is that by having the opposition submit to the assault, the viewer will conclude that there must be some truth in the words being spewed so energetically.

It is also curious that CNN would hire Lewandowski as a political commentator. The man was fired as Trump’s campaign manager. Are we to presume that he will provide an effective counterpoint to an anti-Trump spokesperson. Is it the fact that he is still receiving some severance pay that qualifies him for this role? Or am I missing something. Did CNN hire him because it foresaw the opportunity to put him in such positions, with the hope that he would explode and thus drag Trump, by prior association, down even further.

I always wonder why these designated targets put up with the abuse. It would be inspirational to see one of them stand up, quietly say “No one should be treated like this. This is a disgrace.” Then remove the mic and walk off the stage.

    BobStewartatHome (a52abe)

  26. Quinn should be more respectful of Lewandowski’s space. Not even Rick Lazio laid a hand on Hillary Clinton during their debate all those years ago (which may be what Lewandowski was thinking about instead of what Patterico says he was thinking about). “Julian Assange: So, those Hillary Clinton emails, they connect together with the cables that we have published of Hillary Clinton, creating a rich picture of how Hillary Clinton performs in office, but, more broadly, how the U.S. Department of State operates. So, for example, the disastrous, absolutely disastrous intervention in Libya, the destruction of the Gaddafi government, which led to the occupation of ISIS of large segments of that country, weapons flows going over to Syria, being pushed by Hillary Clinton, into jihadists within Syria, including ISIS, that’s there in those emails. However, as it is, I fear she is going to go over the Cindy Sheehan edge because it’s simply too much for her. This may not be a fight worth losing everything else over. I wish there were someone to fill the gap for her until an answer is forced out of Hillary by the MSM. Which is the only entity that stands a change of compelling one.

My prayers for both sets of parents. It’s a terrible, terrible thing all the way around.

  88. the reason he volunteered himself, was to blot out pat smith and the benghazi heroes, this was the same convention where they jeered sgt. grobart and even general allen for bringing up islamic state at all, first world problems must take precedent,

    narciso (732bc0)

  89. I agree with Dana’s concern

    True, narciso,
And it has worked so well for them because Trump has made it about Trump,
Instead of taking it back to Smith and others.

  90. no it works because it’s an echo chamber, actually a dyson sphere, it’s so vast even the folks who should know better repeat the lie, the template, gitmo, iraq, skydragons, ‘hands up don’t shoot’ you can keep your doctor and your plan,

  92. the events we see from paris to anspach, are the result of the policy decisions this administration made, in tandem with some of those former allies who ‘spoke truth to power’ actually they were so inbed with Saddam, they sprung for the cigarettes,

    narciso (732bc0)

  93. so are we talking about real things, the anspach bomber, who pulled the old manchester manual gimmick, that he has been tortured in bulgaria, was just the sort who had likely been in iraq around the time of the counterinsurgency strategy, that for political reasons both obama and red queen, closed down prematurely,

  95. 70. Following up a few links, Julian Assange seems to be saying, or gives the impression of saying, last Tuesday or so, that proof that Hillary Clinton is resdponsible for ISIS is contained in…. the DNC e-mails???

Now if I say something of that nature, and I have some time, I go ahead and argue it.

    Sammy Finkelman (7fce49)

  96. but there was no talk of terrorism, at that convention, reality being very inconvenient, but there was loads of ‘somelives matter’ crump/julian propaganda, which likely claimed one life in san diego, and another up in illinois, if memory serves me,

  100. I’m sorry narciso. It’s simply illogical. And this Khan working for Opec, on behalf of Saudi Arabia, paid good money and lots of it to the Clinton foundation.

They’re not going to stand by and let their investment goes to waste.

  101. Dana,

Being treated “disgracefully!” is still not grounds for moral equivalence.

Trump had nothing to do with the Khan death.
But Hillary had culpability in the Smith death.

  102. probably so, the last fellow on a long term retainer like that was joe wilson, and we know how much damage he wrought,

odd numbered trek films, are the less effective ones, 1, 3, 5, the even numbered ones are better on a declining scale except for insurrection, no good could be derived from that,

  105. There is no equivalence between the Kahns’ son’s death and the deaths in Benghazi.

If in fact Clinton is the “captain of the ship” i.e. as the head of the State Department, then she is responsible for her employees. She consistently and repeatedly ignored pleas from Ambassador Stevens for assistance, reinforcement, etc., and also ignored all input regarding the substandard and dangerous nature of the Benghazi facility.

This would be similar to the captain of an ocean liner ignoring the warnings of his crew as to the substandard nature of the vessel and its imminent failure, course, destination, equipment, maintenance, etc.,

For her own political motives, Clinton ignored all this thinking she’d get by and claim success in Libya.

We all know this… the data is out there for all to read.

Basically she caused the deaths of all concerned in Benghazi through lies, gross negligence, and denial all for the sake of her self.

    Sound familiar.

Trump has behaved badly concerning the Kahns but there is simply no comparison to Hillary in any way shape or form.

Only liberals or Trump haters could draw similarities.

  106. well the first instinct is to give them the benefit of the doubt, then we look further and the purpose of the exercise is not what they advertised, but as with the levick group, which traded on murky connections, that’s not the point,
