  1. What’s not to love? America, Hendrix, and a pretty good rendition of The Star Spangled Banner by a charming gentleman (who is actually Japan’s Consul General to New York)!

The ‘Declaration of Independence’ is not a governing document, Joe.

  6. There’s been some spectacular fireworks presentations televised from cities across the land– especially from Washington.

Thank you Mr. Trump for the long, colorful and brilliant-in-HDTV-show.

  11. I loved the video. That tweet and other places online have Kanji Yamanouchi as the Japanese Ambassador to the US. He is the Consul General of Japan in New York. Google tells me Shinsuke J. Sugiyama is the current Japanese ambassador to the United States.

btw – to use those words to describe the hopes of MLK…..is that one of those racist dog whistles?

The music is painful to my ear, but the spirit behind it is nice.
There’s a group of small-town Aussie blokes who sing traditional Russian songs and call themselves Dustyesky. They’re very popular with Russians. A Russian choir gave them “Waltzing Matilda” in return. That’s music.
