Weiner: I Accidentally Favorited That Tweet from That Internet Hookup App

Yes, it’s another Twitter accident involving Anthony Weiner:

Disgraced New York Democrat Anthony Weiner is claiming that he “accidentally” favorited a tweet from an Internet hookup app.

Weiner made a stir on Friday, June 13, when Twitter users noticed that he favorited a tweet from the Internet hookup site Tinder. The tweet advertising the site said, “Tinder will now be the ultimate sext machine.”

It wasn’t long before Twitter exploded with attacks on Weiner, the Democrat who made himself infamous and lost his seat in Congress for using social media to send sexually explicit messages to young women across the country.

Weiner, though, had a ready excuse: It was an accident.

He made his excuse on Twitter saying he “accidentally hit the star thingy on a @voxdotcom story about Tinder.”

Where is Neal Rauhauser? I’m sure he wants to blame this on me and Mike Stack.

  4. Huma is with Hillary on the book tour. According to the Philadelphia Enquirer she is “Clinton’s right-hand policy adviser and wife of Anthony Weiner”. Can we expect a chorus of “He was her man but he done her wrong” as part of the campaign strategy?

  7. After Carlos Danger’s previous accidents, why on earth does he even have a Twitter account? Shouldn’t that have been the very first thing he gave up for good in order to help restore Huma’s trust in him? The fact that he even has one is suspect.

    I have always wondered if the Lewinsky scandal actually benefited Clinton, because now the less moral women who encounter him know what he is all about. Maybe this is along the same lines. Of course, maybe Weiner was just making fun of himself, but of course his stupid explanation is another example of the man’s reflexive and sad lack of integrity.

    The less moral women already knew what he was about. Men like that wait for the signal from women like them. The Monica’s of the world are young and dumb and don’t yet understand how the game is played in terms of dire consequences. That’s why they get destroyed. The less moral women don’t get destroyed because they understand the rules. Unless, of course, they break them. Gennifer Flowers, we’re looking at you.

    During his campaign for Mayor in 1977, the campaign manager for Ed Koch supposedly took to referring to his boss and Bess Meyerson as “the Smith Brothers”. He was asked why. The answer: “Two beards, schmuck”.
