  2. ND is clobbering Wash St, and Golden Tate is making sure that he is a legitimate Heisman candidate.

  5. Hard to believe that is the same Oregon team that -just scored to go up two touchdowns – that lost their way in week one.

Tate is rockin it tonight! But I think the score will have him on the bench for most of the 4th, as it should.

  6. LaMichael James is having a career game running the ball against the Condoms, err Trojans.

Leach beat Mandingo in a match-up of 2 of the more interesting coaches in college football.

Ducks up 3 TD’s. Wow. They are the physical aggressors and every bit as aþhletic. I cannot believe this is the same Oregon team that lost to Boise and barely beat Purdue. This win will be huge for Boise in the BCS rankings.

  9. Daley – they were playing Mangino, who is 3 coaches all in one.

  10. Wow. USC got spanked. Well done, Ducks.

  11. SC needs a new defensive coordinator badly. Rocky Seto isn’t it. Carroll has been out coached the last three games.

  12. That was the 1st time I have seen someone out-physical and be the more aggressive team against USC, on both sides of the ball.

  13. At least the Buckeyes winneded and shut out a dangerous team.

  14. TCU vs Boise State for the championship game! If Oregon beat the #5 team in the country by >20pts, then is why is Boise dropping in the polls? $$$$

  15. Brian – This win by Oregon should really help Boise St.

  16. Well, the Aggies managed to pull off an upset over the Iowa State College of Taxidermy and Cosmetology.

Which is good, after ISU’s stunning defeat of the team formally known as “Nebraska, National Champions Forever.”

Next up for my beloved Farmers is Baylor. I won’t make any religious jokes because the Supreme Being seems to enjoy a good smackdown of the Maroon and White.

And even if the Ags do survive the Baptist inquisition, u.t. will show them the error of their ways.

But, at least, Old Army seems to be staying away from their “fat girlfriends.” Thanks, Leach. You’re always good for a quote.

Also, go Frogs. Please, please screw up the BCS forever.

  17. Here is my new Top 10:

    1. Florida
    2. Alabama
    3. Texas
    4. Boise State
    5. Iowa
    6. Texas Christian
    7. Oregon
    8. Cincinnati
    9. LSU
    10. Penn State

I think Iowa loses in a couple of weeks at Ohio State, and Cincy has a bunch of opportunities to drop games (Louisville, UConn, West Virginia, Pitt). In the end it will come down to undefeated Florida (or Alabama) probably playing undefeated Texas. If UT drops a game, however, it could get very interesting. What do we do if both Boise State and TCU are undefeated at season’s end? Do they get bypassed for an Oregon-Florida match-up? Could there really be a scenario where Oregon surpasses Boise State, a team they have already lost to this season?

  18. JVW, if you are going to lose a game, do so first game of the season. I hadn’t watched Oregon before but they made it look easy with an inept SC defense. I think the opposing coaches have been figuring them out this season. It’s hard to judge how good Oregon is because SC looked so bad.

  19. Why did the Aggie cross the road? He couldn’t get his d@#k out of the chicken. Go Hawks!!

  20. BTW,
    Nebraska national championships 4

Texas A&M national championships 0, zero, goose egg, nada, zip, null

Although I hear they did real well at the Bull milking championships.

    Comment by Bill M (7ab9b8) — 11/1/2009 @ 5:38 am

  21. Bill, you have to go back to 1939 to find it, but A&M does have a national championship in football. It’s also the reigning national champions in men’s gold and men’s and women’s outdoor track, BTW.

  22. True, Diffus. I only counted unanimous ones so with that NE would have 5.

  23. I think Iowa is going to run the table. THBBBBBT!!!

    Comment by PCD (1d8b6d) — 11/1/2009 @ 11:29 am

  24. So do I. If they can beat Penn State on the road (in a grudge match, nonetheless), then they can sure as hell beat THE oh-so-average Ohio State on the road.
