  4. Maggie Katzen’s opening comment at Protein Wisdom (emphasis mine):

well, seems it’s a subject he would be personally familiar with. though I think a sock puppet would have made a better cover. button eyes are teh cute!

Should be a trio of sock puppets!

  5. Last year after my old irony meter melted during a Dem debate I got a new one from my wife for Chiristmas. Solid brass buss bars, #4 test leads, 3 phase, Tungsten filament, titanium balance, the works. It automatically reads out large values in scientific notation. I’m glad, because this just tripped the automatic emergency shutdown trigger. I have no reading on how ironic this book is, but I only have to replace a couple of fuses to get back up and running.

Does anyone have an irony shunt on this? I think it’s the only way we can get a number with any validity.

  13. Publisher’s Weekly said it best in its review of this book. It wrote that it is “more a partisan screed than a reasoned argument, and that it devolves into “personal attacks and vast generalizations.” In other words it is a book written by a prototypical liberal. Liberals appear to be unable to rein in their emotions and think. I got off the liberal bandwagon when I realized what company I had been keeping.
