Boehlert’s Evidence, Such As It Is
Let’s be very clear about the precise evidence upon which Boehlert claims deception by the three. Boehlert’s complaint regarding O’Keefe and Breitbart is razor-thin. Against Giles, it is non-existent.
Against Breitbart: Boehlert claims Breitbart “falsely reported O’Keefe was ‘dressed as a pimp’ while receiving ACORN advice.” Here is Breitbart’s entire sentence:
When filmmaker and provocateur James O’Keefe came to my office to show me the video of him and his friend, Hannah Giles, going to the Baltimore offices of ACORN – the nation’s foremost “community organizers” – dressed as a pimp and a prostitute and asking for – and getting – help for various illegal activities, he sought my advice.
I’ll leave it to the reader to decide whether that is explicitly a claim that “O’Keefe was ‘dressed as a pimp’ while receiving ACORN advice.” I think it can be interpreted that way, but it’s not as clear as Boehlert makes it sound.
Would it have been better for Breitbart to phrase things differently? Sure. Is this a “pimp hoax”? No.
Against O’Keefe, the evidence is even thinner: O’Keefe failed to correct Steve Doocy on Fox News when Doocy claimed that O’Keefe had worn the outfit inside ACORN offices:
Granted, what O’Keefe did was respond to Doocy’s question. And he was on TV, where time is limited. Still:
Would it have been better for him first to correct Doocy’s misstatement? Sure.
Is this a “pimp hoax” by O’Keefe? No.
That’s all Boehlert has.
And again Giles, he offers . . . nothing.
Good enough to call her a liar, I guess. You don’t need evidence if you’re a liberal and sure of the righteousness of your silly cause . . . whatever it is. Pleasing George Soros, I guess.
What difference does it make how he was dressed — blow this off and ram it back in their throats:
THEY OPENLY INDICATED A DIRECT PLAN TO “IMPORT” UNDERAGED GIRLS AND PUT THEM TO WORK AS ***PROSTITUTES***.
In the face of this plan, ACORN reps DID NOT BAT AN EYE.

It may be a long wait, similar to the way we had to wait 37 years after Roe v. Wade before a Planned Parenthood chapter chief finally had a crisis of conscience.
