Trump Considers Financial Compensation for Prosecuted J6 Defendants

In further effort to save taxpayers’ money and decrease government spending, President Trump is weighing out whether to FINANCIALLY COMPENSATE those prosecuted for their actions at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6:

President Donald Trump on Tuesday floated the possibility of financial compensation for people who were prosecuted for taking part in the riot at the Capitol in 2021.

Speaking to Newsmax on Tuesday night, Trump said he had taken “care” of his supporters who attempted to overturn his 2020 election loss and added there is “talk” about compensating them because he “takes care of his people”:

“A lot of the people that are in the government now talk about it because a lot of the people in government really like that group of people,” he said, referring to the Jan. 6 defendants, who he described as protesting “peacefully and patriotically.”

The President also blathered on about Ashli Babbitt, whom he said was an innocent bystander trying to hold back the crowd when she was shot.

Anyway, maybe Trump should instead financially compensate those immigrants who were here legally, but arrested and deported to a hellhole prison without due process, because of their. . . tattoos.

  1. Hello.

  2. I keep using that word about Trump and his MAGA World…ABSURD.
And not just absurd, it’s anti-American, unpatriotic, anti rule of law, immoral, etc.

  3. I think that it has just shocked so many people and in such a big way that the only word they can think of is ABSURD. At least, for me it’s true.

  4. For those clearly overcharged by the overzealous Biden DOJ and DC judges, sure.

But, not the ones who vandalized or assaulted officers. The pardons is plenty restitutions.

  5. Given how passionate that Republicans have been recently about violence and politics there’s no way they would even think about supporting this. That would be as outrageous and unlikely as all of the people who chanted lock her up lock her up making lame excuses about Republican officials using a non-secure system to discuss imminent war plans. Hard to imagine MAGA being that unprincipled. 🤣

  7. Asked whether he would take action against the officer who killed Babbitt and is still employed in Capitol law enforcement, Trump said he would “take a look at it.” U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd was investigated by the Justice Department for the shooting and cleared of any wrongdoing.

I wouldn’t surprised if the new DOJ files charges against Byrd.

I thought Biden included him in his J6 Committee pardons… ??

Spent 10 minutes looking, and am now confused why I thought that…
