What Made Me Chuckle over the Weekend

If nothing else, Hunter Biden has helped reinvigorate the career of rapper, Presidential candidate, and civil liberties martyr Joseph Edgar Forman, who performs as Afroman. In the run-up to the Wayward Son’s federal trial which began today, Afroman recycled his 2001 hit “Because I Got High” [warning: NSFW] into this marvelous parody:
He makes reference to his own issue with the aforementioned (Afromantioned?) police raid in the final verse. Very clever.

I got a kick out of the original version 23 years ago too, because sadly I know some stoners who perfectly fit this song.

As someone who has gotten more than a little high in the, um, misty past and hit my bottom doing it, probably the worst (and most likely) thing a parent can do is save a child from hitting bottom hard. Better they bust out all their teeth on a curb today than spend the next dozen years in the constant misery of fall after fall after fall.
Even now, Joe’s “help” has turned what should have been a mild punishment into a circus. Joe helped so much that a federal judge could not abide the stink, and now he gets the full majesty of the law. Then he’ll get pardoned and go right back to his old life until the next, worse, time.

I don’t think all of this was caused by the drug use, although the drug use – and the patronizing of prostitutes, “escprts” strip clubs or whatever, and fast cars caused Hunter Biden to have a huge need for money.
Joe Biden tried to help him get money in what he hoped was a non criminal way. Especially after him and Beau getting him into the Navy didn’t work.
