Report: Trump Wants Individual Who Leaked About His Trip to The Bunker Prosecuted

Filed under: General — Dana @ 5:12 pm

[guest post by Dana]

This sounds exactly like Trump:

President Donald Trump has told advisers he wants to find and prosecute the person who leaked the fact he went to the White House bunker as protests escalated in Washington, D.C. earlier this month, according to three sources who spoke to The New York Times. The president later claimed that he had gone into the bunker only for an “inspection,” something he’d done several times before. Attorney General William Barr contradicted that statement on June 8, stating that the Secret Service took Trump into the bunker because of “violent demonstrations” outside the White House.

Um, prosecuted for what exactly?

  6. All the president’s communications and actions are classified. He is the only one who will let you know what he says or has done when he wants you to know or figured out what plays best in the media. Isn’t this how all presidents have always operated and how we maintain a healthy democracy?

  7. The bunker was constructed for security, therefore all actions or statements related to the bunker are related to national security and leaking any of this information is a serious security matter.

As a consequence, the exact nature of the charges against the individual or individuals involved cannot be disclosed at this time or any time in the future.

  8. Trump wants to prosecute anyone in his administration who quotes him negatively or reports unflattering actions. The fake news media, of course, is next.

After seeing bits and pieces of Bolton’s book, no thinking person can believe that this guy will leave quietly when he loses. If he wins… oh boy.

  9. I remember the outrage in conservative circles over Obama’s pledge to be more flexible with Russia after the election. I agreed with criticism. But Trump? What is wrong with the Republican Party and conservative voices? Just try to listen to Mark Levin, Sean or Rush these days. Talk about flexible.

  10. He’s a clown. Prosecution, like lawsuits, flattery and insults, is a means to and end. It doesn’t need to be justified, honest, proportionate or principled, it just needs to inflict pain.

I expect his supporters to be fine with it, because it’s in his interest. That’s their highest ideal.

  11. Donald J. Trump, who seems to think his middle initial stands for Jesus, is clearly losing it, badly.
If he had a mind, an educated mind, before, he’s lost it as well.

Trump thinks that reports of him being escorted to the bunker make him appear weak and cowardly. Actually it was a security measure coordinated by Secret Service officers.

There were protesters in Lafayette Park, most of them peaceful. A few of them were criminals or anarchists, using the peaceful protestors as cover for looting and other crimes, such as arson.

But Trump doesn’t want to appear to be weak and cowardly, hiding in a bunker. No, in his mind, he must appear to be strong and courageous, masculine, virile, dominant.

He is none of those things, total fraud that he is. He’s just a little rich boy, who failed and every business venture he endeavored. His only saving grace was that his father had the sense to hire an accountant to protect the family fortune.

A father knows his son, and Fred knew Donald. That’s why he sent him off to miltary school, in the hope of instilling some discipline in him. Well, that didn’t work.

After faking bone spurs to avoid military service, multiple business failings and bankruptcies, and countless lawsuits, the Donald finally got what he wanted most. Media attention.

He got a role as a powerful executive on a scripted Reality TV show. And somehow was able to use that as a means to win the presidency. The RNC and the GOP are responsible for that.

Now, in the midst of multiple crises, a pandemic that has killed 120,000 Americans at least, so far; a ruined economy, businesses closed, rising unemployment, trillion dollar deficits, mounting national debt, failed foreign policy, lost allies, the complete disintegration and deterioraton of America, and he wants to prosecute some supposed leakers about reports of a bunker visit?

This child-man is out of his mind, always has been. What now, sue, prosecute, intimate, domniate, whatever it takes to ensure an image that was always fake to begin with.

Trump is what he always has been, a total fraud and complete failure.

Boring Biden is better than Traumatic Trump. But I won’t be voting for either.

  14. That’s actually a win for Trump. He is the biggest employer of illegals in Washington DC. And now he has one more grievance to rile up the mouth-breathers with. A big win.

  16. Yeah. Its not like that employee who leaked it to the media was disloyal or nothin’. Or SECRETLY wanted to hurt Trump while working for him.

So terrible of Trump to want to fire the leaker. Obama usually gave medals to leakers who tried to hurt him. That’s why OBama had class.

  18. mr. president donald trump, who try as he might cannot overcome his edifice complex, does not really care about the bunker

what he really worries about is what Kellyanne keeps for him in that special closet in the Lincoln bedroom

he wants to make sure that nobody, but nobody, ever, ever, reveals that

That would be a reasonable response to someone that leaked embarrassing information.

President Donald Trump has told advisers he wants to find and prosecute the person who leaked

What Trump is reportedly wanting is not a reasonable response.

The difference between what you wrote and what he wants to do is the difference between normal and garbage person.

    to greatness or whatever

    Dave (1bb933)

  22. Trump promised to remove Bush’s Chief Justice?

He promised to “immediately terminate” DACA if elected.

And because he and his apparatchiks are too arrogant and too stupid to actually follow the law, he may have managed to make it permanent instead.

    Dave (1bb933)

  23. what he really worries about is what Kellyanne keeps for him in that special closet in the Lincoln bedroom

These horrible & politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves Republicans or Conservatives. We need more Justices or we will lose our 2nd. Amendment & everything else. Vote Trump 2020!

DJT should STFU and be glad he doesnt have to rely on the Jared shoulder devil to craft a controversial “Dreamer Save” bill, though if he were smart, he would get going on legislation essentially crystallizing the group into a finite cohort.

  27. #27: “It’s all about me!”

I wonder if Trump apologists will ever notice the dominant theme of Trump’s thinking — which he openly expresses with great frequency.
Or if they’ll ever admit that the way he routinely talks might have something to do with the way he makes decisions.

  28. I wonder if Trump apologists will ever notice the dominant theme of Trump’s thinking

Can you point to a comment you’ve made that didn’t have the word “Trump” in it?

    beer ‘n pretzels (29fb05)

  29. #30 — Why so concerned about how whether I say something about Trump? Are you keeping a tally?

I’m not here every day commenting on Trump. And I have addressed other topics. Recently I commented on race relations. A couple of days ago I started typing another comment on race — but it got too long, as the issue is complex and difficult.

The topic of Trump is easy. The flaws are so obvious and so egregious.

In this case, it was his obsession with himself. Trump apologists aren’t bothered by that obsession, but evidently it bothers them very much that people keep noticing it.

    Radegunda (89f220)

  30. President Donald Trump has told advisers he wants to find and prosecute the person who leaked

I wanted to comment, so I wrote something. BUT who knows if this ever happened or if Trump ever said. Another Anonymous sourced Trump MSM story which is about as useful as used toilet paper. In case you haven’t noticed, the MSM has been giving TRump 92% negative coverage for 4 years. They are NOT objective, they can’t be trusted, and their anonymous sources have been wrong time after time after time. In fact, they’ve frequently just made crap up, and said it was from a “Trump adviser” or “Source familiar with the white house”.

    rcocean (2e1c02)

  31. When the Media can’t report on a story that makes Trump look bad, they just make one up. I think this one is made up. What is the source? We don’t know.
