CHAPSTICKAQUIDDICK: Joe Kennedy III Rebuttal Suffers from Major Makeup Malfunction

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 8:29 pm

In 1960, a young Kennedy debated Richard Nixon, and a makeup malfunction doomed Nixon, who appeared to have a five o’clock shadow. Popular wisdom says that’s all she wrote.

Tonight, a young Kennedy sought to make his mark on the world, and his ambitions were derailed by … some kinda goop that was smeared all over his lips — under them, over them, just everywhere — like some horrible Vaseline experiment gone wrong.

Whaa?

WHOA.

As the headline suggests, it’s already being dubbed Chapstickaquiddick.

And what was the deal with that car in the background??

Disaster all around. Which is what you have come to expect from the Democrats.

  29. Nixon had injured his knee a couple of weeks before the first-ever televised presidential debate and was very slow to recover from it; it caused him a great deal of pain, but he campaigned through it, which further delayed his recovery. The day of the debate, Nixon kept his normal campaign schedule, and by prime time that evening, he was exhausted. Getting out of his car to enter the TV studio, he again crashed his injured knee into the car frame, so he was barely able to walk under his own power. They asked both Nixon and Kennedy if they wished to be professionally made up, which the TV network people recommended. But Kennedy said he didn’t want make-up — Kennedy had spent the day relaxing in the sunshine and had recently spent time in Florida buffing up his tan. Nixon, not wanting to seem feminine or at least less masculine than Kennedy, then refused make-up, too. The post-debate polling showed that those who listened to the debate on the radio thought Nixon the clear winner, but the TV audience definitely favored Kennedy.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  30. Of course, Nixon’s five o’clock shadow played no role whatsoever in the election returns from Duval County, Texas, nor from Chicago’s wards. Kennedy, with the help of LBJ and Daley, stole that election fair and square. After all, Kennedy was so charismatic that dead men rose from the grave to vote for him in alphabetical order.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  31. The fake news of that era, by the way, was the phony “missile gap,” which didn’t exist, but which Nixon was forbidden by Ike to rebut, on grounds that it would let the Russians know just how much we in fact knew about their crummy missile program — betraying sources & methods, as it were.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  32. Yes the u2 program out out of Peshawar, provided the technical data, just another phony instance of the dems pretending to be tough on the Russians, of course the following spring we knew better,

The Ol’Dems simply don’t want to face it. It visibly gives Nancy twitching fits and makes the skin on Chuck’s forehead crawl. This battle calls for a big leaguer. The only Dem capable of projecting a superior telegenic presence with entertaining and effective messaging over Trump is Oprah Winfrey. The others are mere weenies rolling on a broiler at an Iowa 7-11.

If she ran, she’d win. If not, and Mueller flames out, he’s a two-termer.

    DCSCA (797bc0)

  35. Cruz made a comment regarding the Democrats after the speech:

It was stunning to watch Washington Democrats sit there stone-faced and refuse to applaud more jobs, higher wages, jobs coming back to America. Refuse to applaud wins for the working men and women of this country.

That was really sad to see.

    Heh.

  36. Actually, The Big Dick touched up his shave shadow using a product called ‘Lazy Shave’ -an OTC ‘make-up’ of sorts, not a professional make-up and not recommended by Don Hewitt and the TV producers on scene– it made Nixon’s pallor tend to blend into he monochromatic set and lighting of the television studio at the time while in contrast, JFK was tanned and appeared ‘healthier’ on camera. The Big Eye does not lie.

  40. it would let the Russians know just how much we in fact knew about their crummy missile program

    Pfft.

In fact, the Soviet missile program of that era was certainly not “crummy.” Russian rocketry had superior throw weight for the era over any American missile technologies at the time, which, lest you be reminded, thrust the first Sputnik into orbit and several Sputniks and Muttniks in its wake. And by April ’61, Gagarin, the first man in space and later Titov, in their Vostoks.

The reason, of course, was they required rockets w/larger thrust because their payloads were heavier. U.S. technologies were further ahead in developing lighter, miniaturized components, hence the need to develop missiles with heavier thrust capabilities was not deemed necessary— but public perception and subsequent events changed the equation. But Russian missile technology could hardly be characterized as ‘crummy.’

  48. I’ve heard this conspiracy theory that says Russia faked Sputnik and Gregarian, etc. I threw out a casual search and I found an even greater conspiracy theory: Russia really went into space.
America really faked the moon landing with Walt Disney. The Earth isn’t flat, it’s a sphere, but it doesn’t actually rotate.

Russian Sputnik Exposes Rotating Earth Fallacy!!

Before the advent of MI6 sponsored communism in Russia, the Orthodox Church completely rejected the heliocentricity of Galileo and the evolutionary myth of Druid Charles Darwin. They also rejected the Syllabus of Pope Pius IX which completely condemned all scientific progress—except advances in spying and cryptology.

Even with the Communist takeover of Russia, the GREAT Russian nation forged ahead with new discoveries in space. They were the first to put a satellite into orbit around the earth, and the first to land an object on the moon. Even Communists were too honest to stage a fake moon landing.

Naturally, the MI6 controlled Pentagon started to scream about a missile gap with the Soviet Union. Their perverted reasoning was that since Russia had rockets to reach outer space . . . they could also reach the United States . . . with nuclear bombs!!

This “missile gap” led to an insatiable appetite for money by the MI6 controlled Pentagon. What better way to close the “missile gap” than to use the moon landing money to build rockets that could threaten Russia.

The Soviets were called “godless” Communists by the Rockefeller/MI6 media. Even if the “godless” Soviets had the technical expertise of the Walt Disney studios they would never have faked moon landings!!

NASA’s motto is: “if you can’t make it, fake it.”

MI6 Wernher von Braun was technical adviser to Walt Disney studios as they landed Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on the moon.

  52. OK, I’m not trying to go off the deep end here but I did learn something I don’t remember reading about before. Has anyone ever heard of the USS Princeton? Fascinating.

On February 28, 1844, 300 of the top people in Washington City were on a cruise on the Potomac when a massive gun exploded. 2 of the most important people in the government were killed: Secretary of State Abel Upshur, and Navy Secretary Thomas Gilmer.

Captain Robert Stockton commanded the state of the art steamship named USS Princeton.

The ship was designed by Swedish inventor John Ericsson and was the first to use screw propellers located below the waterline.

The ship featured 2 massive guns: the Oregon and the Peacemaker.

Acting President Tyler and Captain Stockton were very close friends. At that time there were a lot of patriotic people who didn’t go along with the usurpation of John Tyler.

Tyler was anxious to get rid of them so he suggested that Stockton take them for a cruise on the Potomac. On Feb. 29, 1844, the Peacemaker exploded on the ship killing Upshur and Gilmer and 6 others.

Very conveniently, Tyler was below deck when the explosion took place. His Secretary of State and Navy were instantly killed, along with 6 other people.

Thomas Hart Benton—the father-in-law of John Charles Frémont—was also on the ship.

The explosion was the precursor to the explosion aboard the Titanic in April 1912.

Dolley Madison, the widow of President Madison, along with many more notables, were also on the ship.

That timely explosion did alter history by killing 2 of the most important men in the government.

As Secretary of the Navy, Gilmer was Stockton’s boss.

Secretary of State Abel Upshur knew that any annexation treaty with the Republic of Texas would require the votes of 2/3 of the Senate.

He also knew that the Senate would never approve such a treaty.

The devious, usurping Tyler had another scheme in mind so he had to get rid of Gilmer and Upshur.

After the timely death of Gilmer, a Tyler puppet named George M. Mason was appointed Secretary of the Navy, and John C. Calhoun was appointed Secretary of State

Amazingly, the usurper Tyler appointed a rabid secessionist named John C. Calhoun as his new Secretary of State. In June 1844, Calhoun submitted the Tyler-Texas treaty to the Senate. They formally reject it.

John C. Calhoun was Satan incarnate. As early as 1832 he tried to break up the Union.

Only decisive action by President Jackson stopped him. The usurper Tyler appointed him Secretary of State after the timely death of Abel Upshur.

Calhoun worked closely with Richard Pakenham to annex Texas to the Union.

Does Texas history cover this kind of thing?

    Source

    Pinandpuller (9e59db)

  53. The only way to make America Great Again is to abolish the position of Vice President . . . and send ALL the lawyers to Texas!!

The word Vice, as in Vice President, comes from the Latin VICARIUS and means one who takes the place of another. The Pope’s Title “Vicarius Filii Dei” means Vicar of the Son of God or one who take the place of the Son of God. It was first used in the forged Donation of Constantine. Linguistically, vicar is cognate with the English prefix “vice,” meaning “deputy. ” Why don’t they call him Deputy President?

It is the same word as ANTI in Antichrist, meaning one who takes the place of the real Christ. In the history of the Papacy there have been a number of Antipopes who were dismissed as usurpers and not canonically elected Popes.

Vice also means immoral or wicked behavior. The VICE SQUAD is supposed to investigate crimes like illegal gambling, narcotics, prostitution, and illegal sales of alcohol.

This guy could have a point.

Actually, US preperations for an armed invasion of Cuba were well advanced, but Nixon couldn’t defend himself from Kennedy’s criticism without revealing the
    coming assault.

Unknown to Nixon, CIA Chief Alan Dulles had already secretly briefed JFK on the planned Cuban invasion, so Kennedy knew he had Nixon in a box and he wouldn’t be able to defend himself from the soft on Communism accusation.

Instead, as is now becoming plain, the Trump strategy is to discredit the investigation and the FBI without officially removing the leadership. Trump is even talking to friends about the possibility of asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions to consider prosecuting Mueller and his team.

“Here’s how it would work: ‘We’re sorry, Mr. Mueller, you won’t be able to run the federal grand jury today because he has to go testify to another federal grand jury,’” said one Trump adviser.

But the real eye-popping detail comes much earlier, where multiple sources (one source for this story is the omnipresent Chris Ruddy) anonymously tell Fineman that Trump has taken comfort in the fact that Paul Manafort isn’t going to flip on him.

He’s decided that a key witness in the Russia probe, Paul Manafort, isn’t going to “flip” and sell him out, friends and aides say.

Of course, the suggestion that Manafort could get a cooperation deal by flipping on Trump is admission that Manafort — one of the attendees at the June 9 meeting, among other things — could flip on him, that he has proof that Trump was part of the conspiracy with the Russians to tamper in the election.

    Err, icebergs don’t explode.
There was a natural non Infowars style reason for the Princeton explosion, although I don’t remember the details offhand.

Ericsson got some of the blame for the incident, which meant that not quite two decades later, he had a very hard time convincing the Navy that his weird design for an all metal sail-less ship was worth building. But it was built, just in time to face off against the CSS Virginia and completely change how navies fought and operated.

Had it not been for the explosion, the Monitor would have probably been built before 1860, and the Civil War would have seen both sides using ironclads as part of their fleets.

At long last, America’s future is bright again.

Naysayers, Democrats, #NeverTrumpers, fools, liars, and Russia/Russia/Russia nincompoops have made themselves into political clowns, the laughable embodiment of nationwide ridicule with their insane accusations and ever escalating attempts to hang Hillary Clinton’s crimes around Trump’s neck.

I did notice at the SOTU that are far as I could see every Republican was wearing a flag lapel pin and zero democrats were. So obviously there is a message there. I realize a lapel pin is just a symbol and it doesn’t mean you’re any more patriotic than he next guy. But if that were true then democrats would have no problem wearing one since it wouldn’t mean they were actually practicing patriots. Rather, they make a distinct effort not to wear one as a show of solidarity with whom exactly?

The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

Since the Democrats are not military personnel, firemen, policemen, or members of a patriotic organization, it is entirely appropriate that they refrain from wearing a flag pin.

The FBI is intimately familiar with ‘material omissions’ with respect to their presentations to both Congress and the courts, and they are welcome to make public, to the greatest extent possible, all the information they have on these abuses. Regardless, it’s clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counter-intelligence investigation during an American political campaign. beneath the glamorous facade of her fairy-tale life lies a dark underbelly. Whispers of sexual promiscuity and even the suggestion that Kelly was not at the wheel when the car carrying her and teenage daughter Stephanie plunged off a rocky hillside continue to surface. None is more bizarre, though, than the claim that, shortly before her untimely death, Kelly was initiated into a cult called the Order of the Solar Temple. The allegations centred on interviews with a man who worked for over a decade for di Mambro, a senior leader of the sect, and an acupuncturist who claimed she helped prepare the princess for the initiation ceremony that is said to have taken place in the summer of 1982 in an ancient priory in Beaujolais. The Order of the Solar Temple achieved worldwide notoriety in 1994 when 69 members in Europe and north America died in what appeared to be a planned series of mass suicides and murders. All the dead were followers of Luc Jouret, a 46-year-old self-styled guru and supposed homeopathic healer who lectured on New Age theories. While di Mambro directed the group from behind the scenes, Jouret was its persona. Like many cult leaders, Jouret warned his followers of a coming apocalypse. He explained this would occur through environmental disasters and only the elite would survive.
