“Journalist” John Harwood to Clinton Campaign Chair Podesta: “What Should I Ask Jeb?”

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 11:30 am

The newest Wikileaks email from the Podesta archive shows John Harwood, of the New York Times and CNBC, asking Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta what he should ask Jeb in an upcoming interview:

Harwood was a moderator at the October 28, 2015 Republican primary debate, and was widely panned for his highly partisan questions.

I wonder if he asked Podesta what to ask the Republican candidates at that debate.

  3. Stunning to me — and surprising.

What’s surprising is the degree to which journalists who had built reputations in the community over long periods of time were, in fact, behind the scenes simply in the tank for Dems.

For those who have followed political journalism, Harwood was for 2 decades or more a heavy-hitter. This guy was among the best of the best of real journalists — not a talking head analyst or teleprompter reader. There were only a few whose reporting I really thought was above-board and solid, and he was one of them.

  4. 2. This is actually necessary in order to maintain the Clinton Foundation cover-up.

By the way, Newt Gingrich said on Meet the Press tahtit violated the constitution for Hillary or her spouse to accept any money from a foregn government while in office.
No, it only applies to the person holding any office of public
    trust themselves.

    That’s the Clinton loophole.

  5. I wonder if Chris Cilizza will weigh in…?

Let me say for the billionth time: Reporters don’t root for a side. Period.

  6. Could I nominate John Podesta for worst person in the world not currently a violent criminal? He could at least serve as Trump’s runner up in case Donald can’t fulfill his obligations.
