A Hillary Presidency Will Bring Us Four Years Of War . . . Between The Sexes

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 10:15 am

When Hillary Clinton is elected (it’s going to happen, Trumpers), brace yourself — because it will be time for a new “national conversation.” But this time, instead of race, the never-ending topic will be supposed inequality between the sexes. You hadn’t thought about it before — but now that you do, you know I’m right.

When Barack Obama was elected, starry-eyed leftists foretold a new era of harmony between the races. The more realistic among us knew that his election would likely exacerbate ill will between the races.

Part of this was the unavoidable by-product of electing the first black president. We always knew that any criticism of Obama would be attributed to racism. (And some of it was, which just made the accusation — which was usually wrong — easier to level at critics.)

But Obama made an inevitable situation worse. Whether it was blaming a police officer for perfectly understandable actions towards a grievance-mongering Harvard professor, or attending funerals of pistol-grabbing thugs while snubbing police officers killed in the line of duty, Obama knew how to take a bad situation and make it worse. We all knew this was coming . . . and it did, good and hard.

Well, guess what?

With the election of the First Woman President, we’re going to get the same thing, with a vengeance.

Every single criticism of Hillary will be called “sexism” by the collectivism crowd. We’ll hear absolutely endless repetitions of the bogus “pay gap” argument. Outlandish statistics about rape on and off campus will be repeated with a frequency that will make today’s shouting sound like a whisper by contrast.

And, of course, there to help us at all times will be the chest-beating Trumper types of the Internet (no, they’re not all going away after Trump’s defeat), doing their level best to confirm every idiot stereotype of the left.

Like I said: you know it’s coming.

I have an opening salvo for you, when you see one of these people coming. Ask them why 90% of the prison population in this country is male. If they try to say males commit more crimes, accuse them of sexism. While they’re sputtering, run the other way. As fast as you can.

If you employ this simple strategy, you may be able to get through the next four years. But I don’t guarantee it.

You’re right, I hadn’t. So now aside being a white racist I can also be a sexist too? How exciting.

  3. I tell my liberal friends that the election of Hillary is a mistake and it will tear the country asunder. Obama’s 8 years have caused such incredible division that a move back to the center is necessary — Trump is but a symptom of the stress on the system.

Four more years will add to the stress, and unless Hillary governs to the center like her husband, which she won’t, when the correction comes it will look more like a revolution than a transition.

  18. Patterico should try giving his better half ten bucks to swing by a local thrift store, pick up a suitably stretched out beige, double-knit pantsuit, circa 1975. Then have her stand in front of him and the TV set wearing it while the World Series is on as she wags her finger at him, lecturing on what has not been done on the ‘honey-do list’ while pointing out his flaws– then reminding him to take out the trash and his empties… Great Halloween costume.

  27. “This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have convened but was not. That is appalling,” an FBI special agent who has worked public corruption and criminal cases said of the decision. “We talk about it in the office and don;t know how Comey can keep going.”
The agent was also surprised that the bureau did not bother to search Clinton’s house during the investigation.

“We didn’t search their house. We always search the house. The search should not just have been for private electronics, which contained classified material, but even for printouts of such material,” he said.

“There should have been a complete search of their residence,” the agent pointed out. “That the FBI did not seize devices is unbelievable. The FBI even seizes devices that have been set on fire.”

Read on. The agents also complain about Comey’s self-serving resume-padding, claiming that he himself is an “investigator,” when all he’s been is a lawyer and then a bureaucrat.

Important closing point: the agents say the dam is breaking, and real FBI agents are ready to start talking.”

  28. Yes, Patterico, it will be a ‘Maude’ vs. ‘Dallas‘ election.

So it comes down to which you’d prefer to endure: four years of Hagman haggling in your living room while Tilton, Gray and Principal jiggle across the 40 inch screen or a pantsuited Bea Arthur, reminding you of your first wife from 1975, wagging a finger, lecturing on all the inequities she’s put up with and demanding you take out the trash in the middle of the 4th quarter of Monday Night Football.

    Nope.

    It’s going to be race
    AND inequality between sexes
AND rights for new genders that haven’t been invented yet
    AND outlawing of “hate speech”
AND new restrictions on firearms and ammo
AND force-feeding all of the above to students every school day.

This reminds me of a story about my old professor of Surgery. The story is in my second book, the Kindle book. A student failed the Surgery exam in third year. He went to the professor and said, “You asked the wrong questions on that exam.”

He said, “I know so much more about Surgery but you didn’t ask the right questions !”

Dr Rosoff, the professor said, “OK. I’ll give you a pass mentally. I’l just put the F on the paper.”

The student looked at him horrified and said “Mentally ! It’s what’s on the paper that counts !”

He loved telling that story. It was in the late 60s when lots of students got weird.

  42. As a White, male, Catholic, I am thoroughly deplorable. I don’t mind her thinking that, but her adding that such as I are “irredeemable”, strikes a note of concern. Aren’t “irredeemable” people sent to cement showers, a ala Auschwitz? She did once suggest we should have summer camp for adults with red cabins for some and blue cabins for others. Then the folks from the blue cabins could go and explain to the people in the red cabins are wrong. Does that sound like a re-education camp? For me to think the way I do she can explain by my testosterone poisoning. She has no explanation for women who oppose her, although her allies think such women should go to hell.

  44. #37 The Older Dana,

That’s good for you that you’re nearing the finish line comfortably, but what about those of us who still have many, many years before we retire?
We’re going to have to put up with the consequences of this crap. I’ll be around for the full consequences of an illary Supreme Court.

Can’t you throw us a line?

This is why a lot of people who are reluctantly voting (me!) for Trump suspect that most of the right-leaning #NeverTrump crowd are people with nice enough financial situations which will enable them to weather another four or eight years of the Alinsky Storm.

Glenn Beck is worth gazillions. He can afford to have these alleged “principles” — and continue to buy the fine imported cheese at his local supermarket.

She wouldn’t stand a chance this time with any serious opposition. She got her Todd Akin, as she and her media conspirators planned. Nearly anyone else would have beat her in a landslide.

In the last 100 years, parties have held power more than two terms only a few times, and the third term only comes after a Presidential success. Hoover after Coolidge, Truman after FDR, Bush after Reagan. Obama was NOT a success and normally his party would be at a disadvantage. But the GOP nominated Stompo the Angry Clown.

Assuming that she even lives four years, there is no way that she’s re-elected. America gets tired of listening to the same excuses.
