Hillary Clinton Falls

Filed under: General — Dana @ 11:04 am

[guest post by Dana]

This morning, according to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Clinton left the 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City due to feeling “overheated”. In a video, Clinton can been seen standing at the curb supported by an aide as they wait for their van to arrive. As Clinton attempts to step toward the vehicle, she stumbles and begins to fall:

The candidate for the presidency was then transported to her daughter’s apartment without any press allowed to follow. A full 90 minutes later, she exited the building and told reporters that she felt great.

And while Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post brushed off Clinton’s frequent coughing jags and said we should stop talking about her health, (this in spite of his own extensive reporting on John McCain’s), it’s interesting to see that after this morning’s fall, Cillizza now agrees that her health is indeed an issue:

Whereas Clinton and her campaign could laugh off questions about her health before today, the “overheating” episode makes it almost impossible for them to do so. Not only has it come at a time when there was growing chatter — with very little evidence — that her health was a problem but it also happened at a 9/11 memorial event — an incredibly high-profile moment with lots and lots of cameras and reporters around.

Her campaign may well try to dismiss this story as nothing more than an isolated incident, meaning nothing. (Democrats were already pushing the story of George W. Bush fainting in 2002 after choking on a pretzel, via Twitter.)

But the issue is that Clinton kept reporters totally in the dark for 90 minutes after her abrupt departure from the 9/11 memorial service for a health-related matter. No reporter was allowed to follow her. (Clinton has resisted a protective pool for coverage because Donald Trump refuses to participate in one.) This is, yet again, the Clinton campaign asking everyone to just trust it. She got overheated! But she’s fine now!

I would note that right now, hours after this morning’s ceremony, it is a comfortable 81 degrees. . Clinton arrived at the commemoration at 8:00 and left at 9:30 a.m.

As a reminder, at a fundraiser on Nantucket back on August 20 when the temperature was in the high 70’s, the heat didn’t appear to be of any concern to Clinton:

untitled

I have no clue what is up with Clinton’s health, but it is just awful to watch a person’s feet refuse to step as commanded. I wish her the best, and hope whatever is ailing her is treatable. But after this morning’s mishap, her campaign is going to have to address the matter with at least a modicum of transparency. And that in itself is a very high bar for Hillary Clinton to meet.

UPDATE: This afternoon, Hillary Clinton’s doctor, Lisa R. Bardack, said Clinton has pneumonia:

Hillary Clinton has pneumonia and has been advised to rest, the Democratic presidential nominee’s doctor said on Sunday, after Clinton abruptly left the 9/11 memorial ceremony in downtown Manhattan because, her campaign initially said, she “felt overheated”.

“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies,” Dr Lisa R Bardack said in a statement. “On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule.

“While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”

UPDATE BY PATTERICO: There will be more of this. Maybe she will have a coughing fit during a debate.

I’m starting to think it’s gonna be Trump.

Either way, we survived eight years of Obama. We’ll survive whatever happens next.

I’m reading a book about the Nordic countries that gives me hope that people can actually turn towards the free market when they see socialism failing. Full report when I finish it.

  2. sleazy Associated Press propaganda sluts lisa lerer and julie pace get some lying pig-lover named Joe Crowley to make like today was a real scorcher

Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., said he spent time before the ceremony chatting with Clinton and watching her sign autographs and take pictures. He said he was standing behind her during the remembrance and “she did not seem out of the ordinary at all.”

“It was stiflingly hot. I was sweating through my shirt,” Crowley said. “I had to leave myself. I drank about a gallon of water.”

even National Soros Radio reported that

According to the National Weather Service, the temperature was 79 degrees with 54 percent humidity at 9:51 a.m. in Manhattan.

    Denver Guy,

She stumbles and begins to fall. Immediately so.

I am not a doctor. I don’t know what triggered the event. I suspect it wasn’t due to overheating, but really, I prefer not to speculate. So I guess, yes, I am blind.

Here we go again with the Trump-like attack syndrome that an internet wit describes as Ready, fire, aim. The commenter made no effort to suggest or discuss whether this might be a Parkinson’s event, which I think is worth discussing. Instead, the commenter attacks Dana because she doesn’t describe this event exactly the way this Trump supporter sees it.

This is what Trump has done to us, and it’s every bit as bad as what Obama and the Clintons have done to the Democrats.

  10. I’ve been saying this for months, there will be no debates. The campaign will claim that it’s because they don’t want to give legitimacy to a racist, bigot, homophobe, misogynist, etc.; for which they will be loudly applauded by the MSM. The actual reason is that, unless they can completely control the environment/venue, Secretary Clinton will do more harm to her campaign than an possible good she could do, if (when) she has another medical incident. Ergo, there can be no debates (at least not a debate where they appear together).

    1. It wasn’t an “attack”

If humans were rational creatures, the time and place of Clinton’s “overheating” wouldn’t matter at all. But when it comes to American psychology, there is no more powerful symbol of terrorism and fear than 9-11 . When a would-be Commander-in-Chief withers – literally – in front of our most emotional reminder of an attack on the homeland, we feel unsafe. And safety is our first priority.

    Hillary Clinton just became unelectable.

The mainstream media might not interpret today’s events as a big deal. After all, it was only a little episode of overheating. And they will continue covering the play-by-play action until election day.

In summary, Hillary didn’t just show weakness anywhere: she “withered” at the New York 9/11 memorial 15 years to the day after those fear-provoking attacks on America. That is a stark image and will subconsciously affect many more than would just a routine feinting spell. …

Contrast this with Trump’s (real or imagined) perceived strength, and this election is over unless the Democrats replace Hillary.

    Denver Guy (4750ec) — 9/11/2016 @ 11:43 am

I’m going to re-post my full description of the moment because judging from your misleading statement, you didn’t read it all:
In a video, Clinton can been seen standing at the curb supported by an aid as they wait for their van to arrive. As Clinton attempts to step toward the vehicle, she stumbles and begins to fall:

Further, any number of things could be wrong with her, Denver Guy. I have had friends who have passed on from complications of MS, and Mrs. Clinton’s symptoms remind me of what they experienced. Parkinsons is another possibility. And no doubt, there are endless other possibilities as well. I just don’t know.

What I do know, though, is Clinton makes concerted efforts on a daily basis to not tell the truth and to keep the public from knowing vital information that either directly or indirectly impacts us. That would no doubt include any serious illness that might call her mental faculties into question at any point in time. FDR was in a wheelchair, but his mental faculties were not impacted by his illness.

As for the Nordic countries — what few people seem to realise is that under the eye-watering tax-rates, in Denmark, for example, that there’s a lassez-faire economy, with a lot of private provision, even of things like fire and healthcare. Also, most of the tax gathering and disbursement is done in the local community, a population of few tens of thousands at most, rather than going via a remote central government.

Both women are dressed alike, and wearing sensible flats. Why does Clinton require two aides, if that’s what the are – and it would appear that is what they are they for?

That reminds me that I read somewhere how noticeable it was that she was making a point of standing up to answer the questions directed at her during the Military Town Hall last week. Was she attempting to show that she didn’t have a problem with balance? Or was she attempting to e male-like assertive?

    Dana (995455)

  76. This is what Trump has done to us,

No, this is what Clinton and Co has done. Obama is an interruption in the Clinton Chronicles.

Bill ignored the 1993 WTC attack. He ignored the African embassies attacks. He even ignored the USS Cole attack on the eve of the election.

When Madeline Halfbright was asked why they didn’t do more about terrorism, she answered, “Of course we were concerned about terrorism. We had meetings almost every week about it.”

The 1994 GOP Congress saved the economy and Clinton got the credit. Look at a chart of the stock market since 1994.

The attempt to impeach and convict him was probably a strategic mistake although I don’t know how they could ignore the lying. It’s too bad Giuliani was ill when Hillary ran for the Senate.

Obama was a failure but no white man with his resume could have been nominated, let alone elected.

We are paying for our ancestors sins, I guess. I just hope it isn’t fatal.

One thing that I’m not seeing discussed is the fact that if we had to depend on her fawning press entourage to report on her physical condition we would be completely in the dark. Her campaign blocked off the press pool and very stealthily got her out of there, hoping to hide the severity of her condition. It was only because of a bystander with a cell phone that we now know she was out on her feet and about to face plant in the gutter.

  80. You may have to look at a few videos with different angles, but if you do you cannot say that Clinton merely “stumbled” or simply needed some assistance, etc. She was initially supporting herself by leaning back on the large post, holding herself unnaturally stiffly. When the van arrived, she was completely unable to move forward on her own. She tried and failed to get her feet in a normal position under her once she had some support, moved forward a few steps with major support, and then lost complete control of her lower body and collapsed. Complete control. Both legs dragged, toes down. Meanwhile, her head never left an upright, controlled posture, which indicates to me that she had not fainted. I am not a doctor so I can only say as an educated layman that people don’t lose complete control of their lower body due to any kind of normal over-heating or tiredness due to a tough campaign schedule. I am also not a Trump supporter; Cruz was my preferred candidate.

  81. “was Obama really a failure if so many republicans are craving four more years of obama policies all up in it?”

  83. and here’s the first real attempt at narrative-building from the pig’s propaganda sluts

    Politico

Clinton scare shakes up the race

so far this seems to be all they really have:

Partisans have long raised health issues in campaigns – Ronald Reagan’s opponents repeatedly questioned his mental acuity, and Bill Clinton’s supporters were delighted by a January 1992 video of George H. W. Bush vomiting during a dinner with the prime minister of Japan.

But Trump has personally ridiculed Clinton’s health with a bluntness not seen in recent times, suggesting she’s been hobbled by a serious 2012 head injury and mocking her repeated allergy-induced coughing fits.

    their evidence?

“Mainstream media never covered Hillary’s massive ‘hacking’ or coughing attack, yet it is #1 trending. What’s up?” he Tweeted after a coughing fit interrupted a Clinton speech on Sept. 6th.

    lame,right?

    so the takeaway is

the propaganda sluts are going into a wait and see mode

    happyfeet (28a91b) — 9/11/2016 @ 11:26 am

I couldn’t agree more about Comey. His press conference, his testimony, the release of the FBI’s report on the investigation, every shred of information screams “Prosecute!” Yet Comey lies and says no reasonable prosecutor would attempt to try the case. The h3ll they wouldn’t! It’s a slam dunk case.

And moreover Comey doesn’t make the call for the prosecutor. He’s the investigator, not the prosecutor. What he should have done, according to every investigator I know (not FBI, but NCIS and AFOSI who also handle investigations into violations of 18 USC 793 and other statutes that constitute the Espionage Act) was to forward the results of the investigation to the prosecutor, in this case the DoJ, without recommendation. Sure, the fix was in. But if he didn’t want to demonstrate he was just another $5.00 Washington D.C. streetwalker willing to turn tricks in a dumpster behind a liquor store just to remain in the good graces of the DNC he should have let Loretta Lynch fall on her sword. But he didn’t. And demonstrated exactly what he is.

Now, he’s trying to reclaim his reputation. Too, late; once you sell it you can’t get it back.

    http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2016/09/jim-comeys-strange-memo-to-fbi-employees.php

Aww, the poor little streetwalker is feeling the heat. But you know what’s funny about this?

…Through public statements, testimony (4 hours and 40 minutes without stopping, but who’s counting), and prompt document productions, we have offered unprecedented transparency of the high-quality work your colleagues did in the case…

…I explain to our alums that I’m okay if folks have a different view of the investigation (although I struggle to see how they actually could, especially when they didn’t do the investigation)…

You can’t claim that you’ve offered “unprecedented transparency” into the investigation and then claim your critics don’t know anything about the investigation. But anybody who knows working girls knows they lie, and not very convincingly. Comey can’t even keep his lies straight in a one-page b****y and unconvincing, defensive, and very weird defensive memo to his own agents. Who clearly are not buying his BS. If they were, Comey wouldn’t have felt the need to issue this memo. Which will do him no good at all; he’s just digging deeper into the garbage in that dumpster behind that D.C. liquor store where he turns tricks.

I’ve worked closely with NCIS on issues of personnel security and force protection. But here I’m going to emphasize my experience working with them on personnel security issues.

    Department of Defense

    DIRECTIVE

    NUMBER 5200.2

    April 9, 1999

    ASD(C3I)

    SUBJECT: DoD Personnel Security Program

    …3. POLICY

    It is DoD policy that:

3.1. The objective of the personnel security program is that military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned to and retained in sensitive positions, in which they could potentially damage national security, are and remain reliable and trustworthy, and there is no reasonable basis for doubting their allegiance to the United States…

I have firsthand knowledge about how they conduct investigations when there is reason to doubt whether or not an individual remains reliable and trustworthy, should be retained in a sensitive position where they could damage national security or remain eligible for a clearance, and may have committed a criminal violation of the Espionage Act. And considering NCIS often conducts these investigations jointly with the FBI (that MM1 who’s going to prison for far less then what Hillary! did is going to Club Fed as a result of such a joint investigation) I have it on good authority that the FBI doesn’t do it any differently.

Given the discrepancies in her testimony, which is at odds with her record (including the fact she held a clearance as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee) and her public statements about how she’s well aware of the requirements for safeguarding classified information, it’s simply not believable that she claimed in her FBI “interview” that can’t recall ever receiving a briefing on the subject, wasn’t aware of requirements for safeguarding classified information, didn’t know about classification levels, and thought (C) had something to do with alphabetical order. Playing dumb is the oldest trick in the book. No investigator no matter how green would have bought this from anyone else. And they would have at the very least polygraphed anyone else.

But it wouldn’t really matter because she signed at least one (no doubt more for access to other levels of classified information) legally binding contract with the USG, her SCI Non Disclosure Agreement, that contradicts all her lies.

    http://freebeacon.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/HRC-SCI-NDA1.pdf

So it really doesn’t matter what she says now, she’s married to that legally binding
contract. It was witnessed by the Department of State SSO. SSO stands for Special Security
Officer. I know; I was one. I was often the briefing officer.

  158. You can read the report on whitewash the FBI conducted here, farcically and insulting titled “Clinton E-Mail Investigation”:

    https://vault.fbi.gov/hillary-r.-clinton

It’s full of smoking guns, and not just about Clinton. For instance, the sysadmin for the server (originally an Apple OS-X set up for Billy Jeff circa 2007) was a guy named Justin Cooper. Note on page 3 of 47 of part 1 he contacted and hired Brian Pagliano at Huma Abedin’s recommendation to help him build a new server to replace the Apple server.

But ol’ Huma told the FBI she wasn’t aware of the private server until it became public news. This is unpossible. This simply was not a real investigation; it was, as I implied earlier, a farce. The DoS, after being forced by a judge in a FOIA case, unwillingly and reluctantly released Clinton’s emails. We have email chains which include Huma discussing the unreliability of the Pagliano-built server. We have emails from Pagliano to Huma informing her that he had to shut down the server because of a hacking attempt. On page 5 of 47 of part 1 Cooper told the FBI that in early 2013 that Hillary! and Billy Jeff aides discussed their concerns leading over the unreliability of the server, which resulted in the contract with Platte River Networks. Does anybody doubt that Huma was one of those aides? We’ll never know for sure because apparently the FBI wasn’t interested in finding out who those aides were.

Real investigators would have been. The report is full of discrepancies that, had this been a real investigation, would have been what have raised red flags. But it’s clear Comey was personally involved in this investigation for one reason and one reason only. To make sure his agents didn’t try to resolve those discrepancies. Because that would have resulted in what happens if this were a real investigation. It would have expanded. Investigations always lead to investigators pursuing possible crimes that they weren’t originally investigating, but as the discover more information they learn about other possible crimes. But these FBI agents were strangely uncurious and just let it slide. Because, Hillary!

The FBI notes on Clinton’s non-interview is part 2 of 2. Frankly it’s unbelievable. Hillary! can recall a lot of detail but her memory fails her when it’s convenient. For instance, she recalls the SCI inbrief and signing the NDA. But she can’t recall any specific briefing on how to handle SCI. Look at para 2 in my previous comment. She signed an NDA that says she’s been briefed on the nature and protection of SCI. That’s all about proper handling. So it just doesn’t effin’ matter what she says she can’t recall. Had this been a real investigation the investigators would have gone to the SSO before interviewing Hillary! and would have known what the inbrief consists of. They would have know it includes procedures for the safe handling and storage of SCI. And for anybody not named Clinton that would have been all she wrote.

Look at the bottom of page 2 of Hillary!’s NDA. Look at those programs she had been read into. People go to prison for mishandling information pertaining to those programs. Especially “G.”

I’m not at all comfortable discussing that program. John Schindler discusses it at the link above. The FBI never mentions it in the report. They never even mention dates of emails in which it’s compromised. Moreover, if you’ve been read in you know it when you see it. It doesn’t need to be marked, which blows Clinton’s excuse about how she can’t recognize classified unless it’s marked classified right out of the water.

But this wasn’t an investigation, it was a foreordained whitewash.

To show how laughable this is, on page 2 of part 2 according to the FBI interview notes, Hillary! acknowledges that by executive order as Secretary of State she was designated an Original Classification Authority. It’s not really complicated; determining whether or not something needs to be classified, at what level, and any handling caveats is a straightforward six step process (beginning on page 3).

    http://www.dss.mil/multimedia/shorts/dss_oca_fy11/common/cw/data/CDSE_OCA_Student_Guide.pdf

There are no exemptions for the heads of executive branch departments and agencies. Yes, they can and should delegate the authority because it’s a full time job. But anyone designated as an OCA is required to have annual training regardless if they do it as a full time job or if they’ve delegated the responsibility. No exceptions. And the bizarre thing is Hillary! claims she can’t recall ever getting a briefing or training on the subject, she doesn’t know about classification levels, and she CAN’T RECALL HOW OFTEN SHE EXERCISED THIS AUTHORITY!

Yeah, you read that right. Apparently she exercised this authority, which is vital to safeguard national security, but she doesn’t know how it’s supposed to work.

This whole FBI report is an indictment of both Clinton and the FBI. The FBI accepted as excuses and/or mitigating factors which, had they been uttered by anyone else, would have constituted admissions of guilt. Despite Comey’s claim he couldn’t find any indication that Hillary! intentionally violated 18 USC 793, and his ridiculous claim that gross negligence is an un-American or at least unconstitutional standard for prosecuting anyone despite numerous SCOTUS decisions finding it perfectly American and constitutional, this report is riddled with indications of intent.

Which the FBI ignored, because its director intended from the start to turn a blind eye to it.

Undiagnosed pneumonia? Is it only diagnosed because of the weakness and balance problems?

Somebody should check the BUN and the white blood cell count in such cases. Probably they don’t take these tests often enough, and then if they do, they attribute a high BUN to kidney problems, rather than to an infection.

I am beginning to think their whole medical theory is incorrect.

I can see how an infection coud cause overall weakness. The body needs to break down protein tissue – usually muscle tissue – to get the raw nutrients needed to manufacture antibodies, and in elderly people, everything is less efficient..

They do seem to think on a website that an upper respiratory tract infection can cause balance problems, but they don’t have an explanation for that. Infections could cause breakdowns of body tissue, but why that?

I have Parkinson’s. On bad days I can have dyskinesia, but it has never looked like Hillary’s shaking her head from side to side in me or in anyone in my Parkinson’s support group. I take a generic of Sinimet which is a combination of Carbidopa and Levodopa 4 times a day and an extended release version when I go to sleep. Besides the tremor which the medication takes care of I also shuffle my feet when walking, though not all the time. I no longer have the ability to do tasks that require fine motor skills like writing. Without the Sinimet I have a lot of muscle pain. When I get up in the morning I can barely walk and I’m bent over. About 20 minutes after taking my first dose of Sinimet I can stand up straight and walk. Sometimes I drool, but that’s because my body forgets to swallow, so I have to remember to swallow. I do occasionally fall, usually because I get my feet tangled up or loose my balance when turning. Stress makes all of my symptoms worse.

While not all Parkinson’s patients have symptoms, I don’t believe Hillary has Parkinson’s. You can see while she was waiting that her head tilted to the left, then she started to collapse, and her handlers dragged her into the Van.

Past research has linked COPD to an increased risk of balance difficulties, muscle weakness, thinning bones, blackouts and falls.

And it’s worse if they have previous falls.

Which is logical: The falls they would tabulate would be ones that cause injury, that is, where the fall wasn’t broken, because the person’s reflexes were slower, so yes, previous tumbles would be linked to a higher probability of yet more tumbles. Also, if you have a fear of falling, that may very well be justified.

There’s a little thing that can be clipped onto a finger that they have in hospitals and maybe other places too now that measures blood oxygen levels. (it uses ultraviolet light, I think)

Normally that shouldn’t drop much, because someone will breathe more or less or do more or less exertion. When it goes down, that’s a problem. I think the level drops sometimes during sleep, but for good reasons. But not too much. Too much indicates sleep apnea.

But what does any of that matter if you believe it doesn’t matter whether or not she’s defeated in November?

    Cruz Supporter (102c9a) — 9/11/2016 @ 2:44 pm

When did I ever say it doesn’t matter? I’ve said it’s too damned bad the idiot Trumpkins insisted on voting for the one candidate least likely to defeat her. It shouldn’t even be close at this point, and Trump is still running behind.

Live by the polls, die by the polls. Trump and his supporters have always bragged about his poll numbers, whether it was Trump bragging about how much he was leading whichever candidate he was insulting at the time or his Trumpkins bragging about how self-selecting online polls showed Trump won every debate. So now take a bite of this s***sandwich and choke on the poll numbers. The RCP poll averages still has Clinton ahead of Trump, and Trump is behind in several must win states. And he’s not playing to win. Everybody agrees, he doesn’t even have anything resembling a serious ground game in must win states. Nothing that compares to Clinton’s.

And Trump doesn’t care. Neither does his new campaign manager, apparently.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2016/09/06/trumps-campaign-manager-damn-right-can-win-without-pennsylvania/

She was on TV the other day claiming Trump has lots of paths to victory without Pennsylvania.

No he doesn’t. He’s on a trajectory to do worse than Romney. According to the RCP electoral vote map he’s been stuck at 154 likely electoral votes since late July. A drop of 10 from where he was before. So while it’s unlikely he’d ever have won in PA because other Republicans haven’t, it’s just not true he has lots of paths to victory. She’s blowing smoke. He has very few paths to victory. And it doesn’t look like he or his campaign staff are trying very hard to pursue them.

So don’t tell me it matters that Hillary! is defeated. Tell the Donald. Also tell him it matters that the Republicans hold the Senate. Because he’s said it doesn’t really matter to him. He said he doesn’t mind being a “free agent” if they don’t.

Fortunately the downticket GOP candidates are doing better than Trump, and the Democrats are increasingly worried that the that their chances of flipping the Senate are slipping away.

And for me, that’s what really matters. Because Trump is not a big improvement over Clinton. For one major reason. The Democrats have weaponized every Department and agency in the executive branch, essentially turning them all into arms of the DNC.

Trump recently caused a minor s***storm when he was asked what he had learned in his first intel briefing and he responded by saying he learned that President Obama doesn’t listen to the intel community, who he said are the “experts.”

And then a bunch of intel officials, including DNI Clapper, feigned outrage over Trump revealing anything about what takes place in those briefings. I say feigned because the IC had already leaked that General Flynn caused friction in that briefing by asking pointed questions. So it’s OK for the IC to leak but not Trump. And what Trump said isn’t classified. It’s been in the news that Obama simply refuses to listen if the IC presents intel that doesn’t fit his leftist, freshman circa 1980 view of the world.

And it’s also been in the news that at least 50 CENTCOM intel analysts have essentially mutinied and complained to their IG that their command is leaning on them to change their intel assessments to conform to Obama’s prejudices, primarily to say we’re successfully rolling up ISIS when we are definitely not.

What’s ironic is that Clapper himself is playing a role in this politicization of intelligence.

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/sep/10/james-clapper-pentagon-military-official

US spy chief’s ‘highly unusual’ reported contact with military official raises concerns

James Clapper said to have frequent communication with military official who is said to be implicated in a Pentagon inquiry into manipulated intelligence

Even the Pentagon has been politicized. You can go to Paul Ryan’s website if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

What troubles me is that Trump thinks these people are the experts. They aren’t. They’re corrupt and frankly stupid if they they believe their own lies.

Because current IC/NatSed officials (anonymously) and former IC/NatSec (openly) have crawled out of the woodwork like cockroaches when the light goes off to parrot Hillary!’s line that ISIS wants Trump to win because his “hateful anti-Muslim” comments and proposed policies is their major recruiting tool.

No, it’s not. But this administration made the political decision to politicize intel by making it a firing offense to link terrorism in any way to Islam. And they purged all intel/counter terror training materials of any reference to Islam. So that’s what they have to say, now that Obama has given MB/Hamas front groups such as CAIR veto power over training and really over national security policy. So these people are toeing the company line when they leak.

But on planet reality the real recruiting tool for the Islamic state is when it looks like we’re surrendering to the terrorists. They’ll kill the editors of Charlie Hebdo for “insulting the prophet,” then their co-conspirators such as Hamas-linked CAIR will play their role in this good cop/bad cop routine and demand exactly what the terrorists are demanding. We need to outlaw “Islamophic” hate speech, First Amendment be damned. They all share the same goals, which is to establish Sharia, in other words Muslim supremacy, throughout the entire world.

And so Hillary! helped get UN resolution 16/18 passed, something ever previous administration has refused to do (including her husband’s) throughout the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s 20+ year struggle to make Sharia blasphemy laws the law throughout the world. And Sharia blasphemy laws/slander laws outlaw the truth. So by agreeing to this, Hillary! is telling the terrorists that terrorism works. That’s the recruiting tool, not Trump.

When Obama went to the UN and said “the future must not belong those who would slander the prophet of Islam” the Muslim world understood exactly what he was saying. That was Obama’s real audience. And Obama knew exactly what he was saying, and he also knew his domestic audience wouldn’t. Again, that’s telling the terrorists they’re winning. Terrorism works.

And when this administration frogmarched the “hateful anti-Muslim film maker” to jail, after falsely blaming him and are silly First Amendment for causing violent rioters to assault our embassy in Cairo (it’s always America’s fault for Muslim violence), that was telling the terrorists, indeed the entire Muslim world, that terrorism works.

Every time some Muhammad or Umar goes on a killing spree yelling Allahu Akbar and gives a speech about how he did it for Islam, and officials lie and say Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing to do with terrorism, that tells the terrorists and again all Muslims at least in the Islamic world that terrorism works. Because they know what their religion teaches, they know what their Imams preach in their Mosques every Friday, so they know better. Despite the idiocy coming out of Obama’s mouth about how he won’t talk about Islamic terrorism because then he’d be “legitimizing” groups like ISIS, nobody is looking to western leaders for legitimacy or to preach about true Islam or to tell them what Islam is or isn’t. They know the Allah of their Qurans says more than once that he will cast terror in the hearts of the unbelievers, and that he will do so using the hands of the Muslims. They know Muhammad says in their hadith collections, both the Sunni Khutub al Sitta (the six canonical books) and the Shia Khutub al Arba (their four canonical books) that “I have been made victorious through terror.” The only thing we can do in the west to legitimize terrorism in they eyes of Muslims throughout the Islamic world is to surrender to it. Which is exactly Obama’s policy. Although admittedly he isn’t alone in this, and other so-called leaders are implementing the same policy at a faster rate.

And when you do that, you get more terrorism. Which makes terrorism much more popular with Muslims.

Now some of these IC/NatSec leakers may actually believe this nonsense. But they’re not allowed to know the enemy. They can’t read their playbook, the canonical Islamic texts, that the Muslims have been using ostensibly for 1400 years. Consequently they’re not allowed to know their inspirations, goals, and strategy. They can’t even name the enemy.

So it’s really scary that Trump thinks these people are the experts. They don’t even know who the enemy is, much less why they do what they do and what they want.

What they do know is how to leak to the LHMFM. And they’re already setting the pattern. They’re going to oppose Trump every step of the way. After saying they’re they experts and Obama needs to listen to them, is he really going to ignore them when they start leaking that Trump’s policies are seriously damaging national security? No. And will he purge the DNC moles from all the other federal departments and agencies? No, not after the people politicizing the civil service will cry to the press that Trump is trying to “politicize” those departments and agencies.

Because Trump likes big government. Big government is what made him rich.

And that’s the problem. Who really rules us? An army of unaccountable officials. Not only on the Supreme Court, but in our bloated, out of control, unconstitutional fourth branch of government, the federal government. Does big government loving Donnie want to do anything about that? Would he do it while facing even the slightest pushback. There’s absolutely nothing that he said that indicates he has the slightest intention of doing anything about it. He doesn’t get it. And unless we have a President who gets it, the only question is do we drive over the cliff doing 80 with Don at the wheel or at 100 with Hillary! at the wheel.

    Pinandpuller

Are you sure? I thought Gloria Allred was just Trump in a wig. Although perhaps Richard’s racist rant was also Trump in a wig. It’s Trump and hairpieces all the way down you know.

But one thing is actually certain: Trump will not win the presidency. A theory for quite some time has been that Hillary’s FBI treatment wasn’t free. That the October surprise is a swap in candidates. Everyone is so sick of these two that anyone reasonable would be more than a win, it would be a tidal game changer for down ticket races.

Trump won the nomination because a weak GOP had so many candidates running and had no control over the leading two candidates, and had to resort to the less scary one (for them). The democrats are the opposite. Hillary won because the democrats are in total control of their party. If they want to replace Hillary, it’s going to happen. And supposing they intended to for months, health reasons would be the best excuse, but it would be better if there were episodes leading up to that point.

Do I really believe in this conspiracy? No, not really. But the option remains open to replace Hillary, and if it really does look like she’s going to lose, of course the democrats will exercise it.

After all, beating Trump is a moral imperative. It really is the right thing.

    Kevin M (25bbee)

  272. Denver Guy @276, I believe this doctor’s statement as far as it goes. That two days ago she diagnosed Hillary! with pneumonia during an exam for her coughing fits, put her on antibiotics, and told her to modify her schedule and get more rest.

But Hillary!’s violent, prolonged coughing fits didn’t just recently start. And Hillary! modified her schedule and has been getting more rest, taking three day breaks, over a month ago. If memory serves, shortly after the convention.

So clearly she has health problems other than the pneumonia.

As I understand it other forms of pneumonia, such as pneumonia caused by bacteria, are also contagious. Not all forms that are contagious are highly contagious, some require ideal conditions to spread. But I’m not a doctor so I don’t know which infecting agents are more contagious than others. I do know that people with healthy immune systems don’t normally get pneumonia because these infecting agents are all around us in the environment. The pneumonia may be related to an underlying condition, to what Dr. Drew called the bizarre and antiquated her doctors are using to treat that/those underlying condition(s), and it may be entirely unrelated because elderly people have compromised immune systems.

And you were just kidding when you said the Clinton campaign needs to be forthcoming, right? The name Clinton and the word forthcoming don’t belong in the same sentence. H3ll, they don’t belong in the same state.

They learned nothing from the 1990’s.

And they’re still lying about her health 60 days from the election. With three decades of government experience, she keeps demonstrating she can’t be trusted.

Now, tonight, a canceled trip to the West Coast…she needs more ‘time off.’ A decision they should have made public along with the illness on Friday. She took much of August off, too. Perhaps she contracted “pneumonia” on Martha’s Vinyard.

On several issues of interest to me personally, I’d tend to agree w/her (such as her space policy) but I’m willing to for go that. I lived by and worked in JR’s NYC in the boom-boom 80’s. Once you discern how to read through his Noo Yawk bluster, you can accept JR as a pragmatist who in the end, negotiates, cuts the deal, gets things done and moves on to the next project like the good little capitalist he is. The way he boxed up and sent the then big-time media mogul Merv Griffin packing back in the day remains classic.

So from my POV, in a way, it’s a win/win. Neither are all that good and neither are all that bad.

But I believe we’d both agree having Hagman haggling as Principal, Tilton and Gray jiggle into our living rooms for four years would be more entertaining than a pantsuited Bea Arthur coughing through every episode with that 1975 finger wag… especially in middle of MNF’s fourth quarter.

  285. I still think it’s likely to be Parkinson’s. While I respect Tanny’s individual experience with the disease, it can manifest in different ways.

    Denver Guy (4750ec)

  286. Denver Guy,

The video you linked to bases its position on a Dr. Ted Noel who is an anesthesiologist, not a neurologist who specializes is movement disorders. Because Parkinson’s is idiopathic it takes a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders to diagnose Parkinson’s.

The only way to tell for sure someone has Parkinson’s is to remove their brain from their head, slice it up, and count the dopamine cells. Everything else is guessing which is why you need a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders to diagnose Parkinson’s. If a patient has symptoms of Parkinson’s and responds to Sinimet, then most likely they have Parkinson’s. Even a DATScan is not 100% because it doesn’t count dopamine cells, but counts dopamine transmitters.

I have yet to see proof that blue sunglasses reduce Parkinson’s symptoms. There are a few videos, but no clinical trial. These are some of the symptoms to look for in diagnosing Parkinson’s:

The cardinal symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are resting tremor, slowness of movement (bradykinesia) and rigidity. Many people also experience balance problems (postural instability). These symptoms, which often appear gradually and with increasing severity over time, are usually what first bring patients to a neurologist for help. Typically, symptoms begin on one side of the body and migrate over time to the other side.
There is no objective test (such as a blood test, brain scan or EEG) to make a definitive diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Instead, a doctor takes a careful medical history and performs a thorough neurological examination, looking in particular for two or more of the cardinal signs to be present. Frequently, the doctor will also look for responsiveness to Parkinson’s disease medications as further evidence that Parkinson’s is the correct diagnosis.

You cannot trust a diagnosis of Parkinson’s from an anesthesiologist. You need confirmation by a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders. A person can have Parkinson’s symptoms from medications like antibiotics and not have Parkinson’s.

Two neurologists misdiagnosed me as having an essential tremor. However an essential tremor is a moving tremor (hand shakes while moving) whereas I have a resting tremor. Early on one doctor told me my tremor was just nerves and not to worry about it. Another doctor said the tremor was psychological. Yet another said it was like Parkinson’s, but not Parkinson’s. There’s a reason they call it a practice, it’s because they are still practicing.

    Tanny O'Haley (c674c7)

  287. Thanks for the detailed and informed comment, Tanny. The doctor says he is not certain of the diagnosis, but it best fits the evidence in his opinion, pending review of the detailed medical records which are not forthcoming. I certainly think it’s a reasonable hypothesis. I agree with you that it’s not certain.

  305. @308, that is so 1960s. Don’t you realize the 21at century battle cry is, “Dammit Jim, I was born a boy, but I identify as a girl.”

Speaking of retro, I just enjoyed my first shave with my new Amazon.com safety razor. I was somewhat bragging about my adventures with my straight razor. As i said, your day can only get better if you start off with naked steel pressing against your neck. After that you’re ready to take on the entire Islamic State. But it proved something of a bust. It’s a beautiful artifact, what with the Damascus patterned blade and laminate wood handle. But it didn’t come from the factory with a sharp edge. And I either overestimated my ability to give it an edge or its ability to take an edge. To be fair, I haven’t ordered a strop. Shaving with a straight razor will take a lot of effort and involve a lot of kit. And it may take more than $100 to get a proper blade. Dunno. Figuring it out.

So I moved up to a safety razor. Or down, depending on your POV. And I didn’t cut myself, because it ain’t rocket surgery. And I may just stick with a safety razor, because, cheap blades.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Gillette-Silver-Blue-Double-Edge-Razor-Blades-100-Blades/125059034

$32 for 100 blades. Being overly cautious, assuming one blade last two weeks, that’s 24 blades a year. So 100 blades would be just over a four year supply. That’s a h3ll of a savings over what I have been spending on eight packs of Gillette Mach 3 replacement blades.

And there could be better or just as good blades than Gillette, for better prices. Again, dunno, but I will find out.

Also, above all I get to still reject the 21at century. With free tampons in the men’s room and child molesters in the ladies room. And in fact it’s hate speech to suggest there’s something as a men’s room or ladies room. Because, dammit Jim, boys will be girls, and girls will be boys, or any combination of about another three dozen possibilities according to the SJWs and the gender/ethnic/racial/weirdo grievance studies college and university departments which need to be destroyed.

That’s the real recruiting tool. It’s not anything Trump says. It’s all the other idiocy that convinces the Islamic State and other Islamic terrorist groups that we’re done as a civilization, and they can just walk in and take over.

I do my part in resisting terrorism, now, in part by rejecting any and all shaving equipment developed after the start of WWII. Because the Gillette Mach 3 has made us soft. We used to be a nation that, dammit Jim, could fight the Japanese Navy with one hand while standing in a canoe in a hurricane holding a cup of coffee in the other and not spill a drop, wipe out an endangered species before lunch and then clear cut an entire forest by dinner for the BBQ/campfire. And we must be again.

  306. Hoagie,

    MD in Philly (f9371b)

  307. Actually, wrong nomenclature. In the Atlantic and adjacent waters the storm is called a hurricane, in the Pacific it’s called a typhoon, and in the Indian Ocean it’s a cyclone. So we beat the porridge out of the Japanese with one hand, standing up in canoes, not spilling our coffee, riding out typhoons. Not hurricanes.

The adrenaline/testosterone rush following my first encounter with my safety razor and emerging unscathed carried my away.

And I think, “There but for the grace of God go I.”

According to the Hill, Clinton has cancelled her scheduled swing through California on Monday and Tuesday.

That’s also in the New York Times. That was announced “late Sunday night.”

It was after 5 pm – which was about 8 hours after she left the 9/11 Memorial reading of the names ceremony – when they announced the pneumonia. It was “Breaking News” at 6:30 pm on the NBC news program. She left Chelsea’s apartment about 12 noon, and arrived in Chappaqua (without press) sometime around 1 pm and was examined by her doctor, who made a house call.

She left Ground Zero without the usual group of reporters that travels with her, and the only reason we ave any video is because there are a lot of camera phones around. At first, Nick Morrell, the campaign spokesman who said that she had returned to Chappaqau sometime after 1 p.m, said she had become “overheated.”

I also read that they actually did leave the shoe behind. I am not sure if the shoe and “metallic object” they abandoned are the same thing.

    The New York Times writes:

Dr. Bardack did not indicate what sort of pneumonia Mrs. Clinton had or elaborate on the nature of the examination last week, whether Mrs. Clinton had a fever today, or a host of other issues that could offer more precise insights about her condition.

The statement by Dr. Lisa R. Bardack said she was “rehydrated and recovering nicely” and “Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies,” and that that on Friday morning, after a prolonged cough, Mrs. Clinton was given a diagnosis of pneumonia.

“She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule,” Dr. Bardack added. “At this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated.”

I don’t know if this makes sense to you.

She has hypothyrodism. I think from the fact that they whisked away early before anything showed to the crowd means that this sort of thing has happened before, and someone knew to look out for it.

Late to the party but I’ll posit a theory. It was an episode of low blood sugar.

Why the low blood sugar, though? Some medication?

Low blood sugar and low blood oxygen is probably about the same thing in terms of ability to stand.

Whatever it is, it probably happened before, or they wouldn’t have been so ready to whisk her sway at the first sign of trouble, so it wouldn’t be seen in public.

Yes they did. Never give up. Even when it looks hopeless, there’s still hope for the cover-up, at least if Bill Clinton is involved in plotting strategy.

And they kept to their old lessons:

Never, ever, admit wrongdoing. Never apologize. But get your opponent in an election to utter the word “apology” and then misrepresent that.

    Sammy Finkelman (337057)

  321. It amuses me to see how rabidly the Trumpkins condemn Hillary for not releasing medical records or taking press questions about her health, when Trump won’t do that either.

Americans can’t seem to agree widely on much these days, but everybody knows they’re both old and fat. Just actuarially, based on their ages, they’re both bad risks to serve four or eight years, as compared to anyone significantly younger, and certainly as compared to either of their running mates.

The obvious and inescapable inference here, from both candidates’ refusals to release medical records or other detailed health information — as with Trump’s tax returns, as with Hillary’s speeches to Wall Street — is that Trump and Hillary both have tons of ugly secrets that they’re hiding from the American voting public.

But neither’s supporters care about what their candidate is hiding. The hypocrisy when they attack each other is stark.

I actually do care about what both are hiding, and that’s one reason I won’t vote for either.

Who’s Doctor Rayback? You mean Doctor Bardock? Or has she got another doctor whose name is barely revealed? Or her doctor travelled with her, but they’re hiding it? More likely maybe aparamedic, or a Secet Service agent, or someone from her campaign, designated for that purpose.

“Her” reporters were told not to take any footage and SS tried to stand in the way just in case (from what I have read).

When? The reporters were kept out of sight, and they didn’t know where she was. The video we have comes from a passserby who just happened to be there.

Supposedly the piece of metal came off her glasses but she was wearing them later. It looks like she was wearing some Zeiss Z1 blue lenses which are supposed to be anti-seizure.

  327. @ Col. H, who wrote (#338):

Trump needs to release his med records ASAP and ask Clinton to do same. And then shut up.

I agree! You said it well, but it’s in fact a spectacularly obvious move, one for which Clinton’s only counter would be to release hers.

In fact, from a political standpoint, if one is indeed interested in winning, then that’s surely what any rational candidate would do, isn’t it, Col. H?

So why isn’t Trump? The only two reasons I can think of are that there’s something in his own medical records that he’s hiding too, or he doesn’t want to win. Am I missing other reasons?

If you or someone else can suggest to me another reason why Trump doesn’t capitalize on Hillary’s dishonesty by conspicuous acts of transparancy of his own, I’d really be happy to consider them.

    Beldar (fa637a)

Releasing medical information on the “Dr. Oz show,” whatever that is, certainly sounds like the way Trump would choose to go about this.

To do it right, he’d need to release not just “the numbers” from his most recent physical exam, though, but also the full results (which includes lots of things that aren’t numbers). Moreover, while a snapshot of his current health is indeed very important, so too his his overall medical health and medical history. He doesn’t have to put them all on the internet in .pdf. But he should — as McCain did in 2008 — at least make them available for detailed and careful review by a media pool including physicians, so that they can comment on what the candidate’s own doctors have opined.

He could and should do the same thing with his taxes.

I hope he will surprise me by making good on these opportunities. I do not expect to be surprised, but disappointed.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  330. The most common reason for a person collapsing or fainting is low blood pressure, often caused by a combination of factors, such as illness and overheating and dehydration, and is transient,
But as I said, I don’t believe anything a Clinton says.

    MD in Philly (7412ee)

  331. If he did both those things — released his taxes and his own medical records — surely that would give him a huge boost, quite probably a decisive one: It would make his attacks on Hillary far more credible, and it would reassure so many who want to vote against her but still doubt him.

Early voting starts in some states in what, two weeks?

Trump himself has boasted that he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and his supporters wouldn’t care. If true, surely they would immediately forgive him and accept whatever excuse or explanation he offered for anything embarrassing or controversial in either his medical records or his tax returns, right? They shrug off a $1M fine related to his use of illegal aliens to build the Trump Tower, they aren’t going to base their continued support on whether he tried to dodge a few taxes.

Mind you, I’m not saying this would convince me to vote for him. But it would certainly convince a lot of people, probably enough. So we shall see.

If he doesn’t, though — if he gives us another BS feel-good media appearance on his health, like his last “doctor’s report,” with no substance, and if he continues to stonewall on the taxes — and he then loses this election, then remember this opportunity, Trumpkins. Remember it when you feel the impulse to blame Ted Cruz or Jonah Goldberg or Patterico or anyone else.

    Beldar (fa637a)

She forgot what the band director had been constantly drilling us on since the beginning of the season: When you’re standing in place, don’t lock your knees.

I don’t know whether Hillary Clinton is badly ill or not. As far as I’m concerned, this fainting proves nothing, but I know that the Clintons lie and spin reflexively, constantly, whether they need to or not, so I’m perfectly willing to speculate that she’s hiding something here.

Regardless, this is a political opportunity for Trump, where by deeds instead of words he could actually change some minds. Will he?

    Beldar (fa637a)

  333. Yes, Beldar, any rational candidate should release them. I’d go a step further, it should be required that all nominees do this.

    Colonel Haiku (6ddbda)

  334. I wonder how many people, including children, Clinton came in close contact with after the alleged diagnosis of pneumonia? How many within communicable range?

    Colonel Haiku (6ddbda)

  335. If Trump comprehensively released his own medical records and tax returns now — this week! — the pressure on Clinton would become very, very intense.

If she finds no effective way to defuse the pressure, which is to say, if she’s indeed hiding something and therefore must continue to stonewall, then in the first debate on Sep 26, even a tool like Lester Holt couldn’t ignore that — and even if he did, Trump could inject it (and would surely relish doing so).

Suppose she’s not hiding anything. (Hard to imagine, but pretend with me.) Suppose she releases her medical records and they’re not too terribly bad, capable of being interpreted as “normal for a woman her age.” Suppose she releases her Goldman Sachs speech and they’re unremarkable political babble. Suppose she & Bill hand the reins to the Clinton Family over without condition or exception to Bill Gates or whomever, with a special request that they make amends for the Clintons’ sins against Haiti.

It is, after all, very hard for either of these two candidates to actually drive up the other’s negatives. Each’s remaining supporters are basically impervious to all facts at this point.

Trump would nevertheless firm up his own support simply by making the contrast, and he’d improve his political chances by putting her on the defensive through his actions in a way that no words, from him or anyone, ever can.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  336. Sorry, that ought have read “reins to the Clinton Foundation,” not “Clinton Family.” I don’t think the ownership shares of a criminal RICO conspiracy, technically speaking, are themselves legally transferrable.

    Beldar (fa637a)

  337. Beldar, it’s good that you’re warming to the guy, and I’mma let you finish, but I do recommend that you avoid coming off like a girlfriend just off the rebound who has a YUGE list of relationship demands that may never, ever, work out as perfectly as you hope.

Lots of Trump’s hardcore loyal supporters are here from the seduction community, and you’re displaying the classic signs of neurotic list-making that insecure/beta types often lose their victories in.

Step back, take a DEEP breath, and let it all work out. When you’ve been in long enough to see the patterns, you’ll be able to tell when to strike and when to back off.

It’d rather see the national parties enact rules requiring it of everyone who seeks that party’s nomination. “If you want to be our candidate, you first must go under the full microscope, no exceptions.” Full compliance would precede the first debates by at least 30 days.

Hey, the RNC could announce this as a new rule at the same time that Trump releases his own records and challenges Hillary! Wouldn’t that be a great boost for the GOP up and down the ticket!

Consider that in the ordinary civil lawsuit, the kind I’ve handled daily for 36 years, I routinely demand, and get under compulsion of subpoena and if necessary contempt-of-court powers, all kinds of documentary records that relate to a witness’ or litigant’s credibility and history. There are limits, but they are vague and usually require special showings before they kick in; there are sometimes protective orders to keep things genuinely private that need to be kept private. The test isn’t even whether the records themselves are relevant, but whether they might reasonably expected to lead to the discovery of something relevant. So yeah, I see people’s tax returns, academic transcripts, employment files, bank and credit card records; I often hire experts (doctors, CPAs, etc.) to help me understand and interpret them; and then I put that into evidence in public trials.

That’s the default power of every civil litigant to seek out the truth. How is it that America’s voters, in deciding upon the next POTUS, can be denied the kind of information that the lawyers and sometimes the courts sort through in the average contested divorce case?

I actually have an answer to that. Trumpkins won’t like it. The answer is that the established powers-that-be and that-have-been in both political parties want to continue what they’ve been doing, but this kind of transparency would end that. This is just more of the crony capitalism, special-influence politics, and corrupt government that both Trump and the Clintons know, love, and perpetuate. It’s best symbolized by that 2000 photo of Bill Clinton squeezing Ivana soon-to-be-Trump’s slender waist while Trump squeezed SI covergirl Kylie Bax’s slender waist. What do you want to bet that through the Clinton Foundation, the American taxpayer paid for that catering we see behind them, plus everyone’s travel, lodging, green fees, and champagne?

Anyway, I don’t think Trump will release all his tax returns and medical records, not to a press pool or anyone, no more than I expect Hillary to release her speeches or medical records or anything else. I expect exactly the same from both of them, which is that they’ll both continue to stonewall while pointing the finger at the other over the top.)

I don’t remember the circumstances or when I learned this, but one way to commit perjury would be to minimize something. For instance, “How many times did you go into that store that day?” “Five times.” It’s true the individual went into the store five times. But, in fact, the individual went into the store 5×5 times. Before robbing it.

That is about where we stand on Hillary!’s health status. Pneumonia? Sure, I can believe that. Along with? Only the whole truth will do, Madame Secretary Secret Server.

Well my point is, if it’s the same woman, that “house call” is a bit disingenuous if that doctor is a roadie. I
was the one who called it a house call, a term the Clinton campaign did not use. (for obvious reasons – it shows the doctor doing something sopecial for a VIP patient.)

The campaign said Dr. Lisa Bardack, “had examined the candidate at her home in Chappaqua.”

If that’s not the only place she examined her that day, yes, it’s definitely misleading, but it is most likely they didn’t pay for her to be there with her in Manhattan. Somebody else maybe yes.

Did Dr. Lisa Bardock abandon her medical practice, and travel with her all across the country? If no, then even though Ground Zero was relatively close, and she might not have had to cancel any appointments that day, she probably didn’t go there, or even to Chelsea’s apartment in or near Chelsea.

(I suspect Chelsea was named after Chelsea, the neighborhood in New York, because the next neighborhood to the north, the former Hell’s Kitchen, the place where Owney Madden roamed in the 1920’s and early 1930s, had been informally re-named Clinton. Get it – Chelsea Clinton! But they never would say that, if true, because he wouldn’t want to own up to any connection or familiarity with New York at that time (1980) They denied also te neighborhood of Chelsea in London and atrributed her name to a 1972 song if I am right.)

They shrug off a $1M fine related to his use of illegal aliens to build the Trump Tower,

Actually to demolish the previous building.

There was no fine – there was a lawsuit settlement 18 or 19 years after the fact at the time Trump first seriously prepared to run for president. And he was sued for wages and overtime (some of the workers had been given vodka, and it was conceded that that counted as pay too!) and there was a separate lawsuit by the union I think for violating the union contract by not contributing to the pension and benefits fund.

Trump’s defense was that a sub-contractor did all that. The counter to that was that someone working for Trump was on scene and his company knew all about that. The cases dragged on through the courts for a very long time.

The fact that the workers in question were from Poland and not supposed to work, was only relevant in that it ensured that they were afraid to complain or even knew what New York State and federal labor law said.

I don’t know what’s going on. Why are people oblivious to the fact that laws change? Nobody should say Trump was fined – all right it’s only “related” to hiring illegal aliens, but it was a lawsuit, not a governmentt proceeding.

When someone who is sued pays the plaintiff, it’s not called a fine.

There’s a relationship between myasthenia gravis and thyroid disease. Hmm.

    What did you see?

What I’ve been able to find says they might have the same underlying cause:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasthenia_gravis

Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune synaptopathy. The disorder occurs when the immune system malfunctions and generates antibodies that attack the body’s tissues. The antibody in myasthenia gravis attacks a normal human protein, targeting a protein called the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, or a related protein called a muscle-specific kinase.[17]

Human leukocyte antigens have been associated with MG susceptibility.[clarification needed] Many of these genes are present among other autoimmune diseases. Relatives of MG patients have a higher percentage of other immune disorders.[18]

So a person might have more than one auto-immune disease at the same time.

Another thing: One thing I read to help explain the heat problem is that she may have been wearing a Kevlar vest.

Locked knees? That’s supposed to cut off circulation to the legs, and result in blood not returning to the heart and upper body. A person will faint maybe only if they persist to the last moment.

Note on page 3 of 47 of part 1 he [Justin Cooper] contacted and hired Brian Pagliano at Huma Abedin’s recommendation to help him build a new server to replace the Apple server.

Reading between the lins, of course Huma Abedin wasn’t really the source, although was probably the intermediary. She, in turn, probably got the name Bryan Pagliano from Hillary, who maybe got it from Bill or someone else they trusted.

The ultimate recommender would probably have been their lawyers at Williams & Connally (who would have experience and good reason to have e-mail security, or some associate of the Clinton family.

But ol’ Huma told the FBI she wasn’t aware of the private server until it became public news. This is unpossible.

Claiming she only knew it was private Internet domain.

The FBI no doubt figured out some way to make the testimony consistent, and/or took the positon that nobody was lying, but they were only mistaken and they couldn’t say who was right.

But it’s clear Comey was personally involved in this investigation for one reason and one reason only. To make sure his agents didn’t try to resolve those discrepancies.

They probably had instructions to assume everybody was telling the truth, because if they weren’t, it would be a federal crime, but they shouldn’t say anything like that unless it was a prosecutable case.

And if two people contradict each other, you can’t say which is lying and so you can’t prosecute. Also, it should be material to the investigation.

That may not technically qualify as a “fine,” but neither is it an ordinary settlement of a purely private dispute between private parties.

With regard to minimum wages and overtime, the obligation was imposed not because of a private contract, but federal and state law, which writes parts of the contract for people. Paying damages, even punitive damages, (but this was a settlement) is still not a fine imposed by a judge.

A fine goes to the government, but a settlement goes to the plaintiffs, or, in something that has recently become more popular , to politically connected non-profit corporations. (when someone is sued by the government or it is a class action lawsuit.)

It looks to me like Hillary Clinton was not using her leg muscles at all. She fell because they let her go, in order for her to get into the car, but she had no strength at all, which they didn’t realize. If she would have been alone she would not have fallen like that. She would not have falle onto the street. She was already being held up entirely by other people, and when they let go, she dropped.

It’s looks like the ATP in a significant percentage of the muscles holding her up was depleted. Why that should have happened, I don’t know. But that’s what it looks like happened. Something that would prevent this kind of thing from happening in other people is not working, but it preobably doesn’t often cause practical problems.

Former president Bill Clinton claimed in an interview with Charlie Rose that this sort of thing happened to her before – he seemed to imply over a period of years. Like it’s an old problem with her. That just happens with Hillary. When she gets overheated (?)

Maude- “It has only happen twice.. as best as I can recall…” </blockquote. from waht Bill Clinton told Charlie Rose, it ounded like more often than that.

She's got some undiagnosed – or secretly diagnosed – disease – that has the effect of permitting the ATP in some muscles to become completely depleted much too easily.

But she's actually got a whole assortment of other symptoms.

I think her doctor(s) think she's got five or so different diseses, but she's probably not got five or so different things wrong with her. All, or most of them, are probably related.

“….. it sure seems like an allergy to me…” Allergy of one of 4 possible explanations for persistent cough gievn by MD in Philly in another thread:

    1. postnasal drip from allergies (as claimed) or
    2. sinus infection,
    3. gastroesophageal reflux, and
    4. subclinical asthma.

In an Op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal, Marc Siegel says that up to 90% of the cases pf chronic cough have 3 common causes:

    1. Postnasal drip (which thanks to MD in Philly I see is the same thing as allergy)
    2. asthma
    3. acid reflux.

MD in Philly said subclinical asthma, which it certainly would be in her case, since shes not known to have asthma.

I think the allergy explanation has been used too long. It sounds like something her doctor settled on, and not something actually diagnosed by itself.

Well, to be fair, Sammuh, they probably didn’t realize it because anybody who would write 30,000 emails about Yoga should be expected to have strong legs.

Actually she never really said they were all about yoga. She gave that as an example, and a person who listened carefully could think, there might not be too much about that.

She also claimed there was e-mail about her mother’s funeral and her daughter’s wedding – and maybe e-mail to Bill except his office had previously stated he doesn’t use e-mail. But if he had used e-mail, she might have used that private account to write to him, so I guess that’s all right.

I think the people there moving her just didn’t understand what was going on, even though they must have been warned to be on the lookout for weakness. I don’t think her legs are in general that weak -she walks at other times – but something causes her muscles to be prone to become completely exhausted. I don’t think that could even be poor circulation. There’s some metabolic process that’s not quite working right. ATP resynthesis is not going on as it should.

    Sammy Finkelman (337057)

  387. Sammy,
Steve was making a funny about the yoga emails…
    No, it’s not ATP.

For her leg muscles to work she needs to have an alert mind that sends nerve signals to tell them to work. Her mind momentarily lost full consciousness,
whether from low blood sugar, low blood pressure for one or more of many possibilities, etc.
    Her ATP was fine,
    trust me on this.

    Sammy, Sammy, Sammy,

She may well have lost the muscle tone in her legs…
but it was not because of the ATP disappearing.
You get a good idea and then jump to a false conclusion like the cow jumped over the moon .

I didn’t say she lost it for long.

But it was like someone who exercised to the point that there was nothing left. Which I think means the ATP has disappeared. But she hadn’t exercised that much, you would think. I mean all she was doing was just standing.

Maybe if there was also too little blood circulation, too little oxygen or glucose by the legs?

Moving to he car may have finally exhausted the muscles holding her up (walking requires more energy than standing) Her leg muscles were temporarily just gone, and when they let go, down she went.

Possibly there’s a torn miniscus or something like that so that standing requires more energy than it would for most people at most times. Probably something less serious than a miniscus but enough so as to require some muscles to have to do too much work to keep her standing for long. But does that fit the facts?

They could set up their medical records like the TPP documents, in a secure viewing room where no one can take notes or pictures.

That’s sort of what happened with McCain in 2008. Outsiders were most worried about melanoma, which was a thankful change for the McCain campaign from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

McCain actually had a hard time pulling together his records, even though he’d been in a special medical study of Vietnam veterans or Vietnam prisoners of war or something, because some records were outside of that system, I think maybe at the Mayo clinic.

They eventually collected about 1,100 pages and let more than 20 reporters look at them for 3 hours in a hotel in Phoenix.

Here’s a report of what they did:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/a-look-at-mccains-medical-records

During his first presidential run, eight years ago, McCain disclosed hundreds of pages of records to reporters as he sought then to counter what aides called a “whisper campaign” questioning his mental fitness. In those records, medical personnel concluded that his years in prison, including solitary confinement, left him with no psychological wounds. Aides said McCain has had no mental evaluations in the past eight years.

This time, a small group of reporters reviewed 1,173 pages of medical documents that span 2000 to 2008 over several hours in a conference room at a resort just outside Phoenix and a few miles from the posh Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, where McCain receives most of his medical care under a pseudonym – which reporters were asked not to disclose. Coincidentally, the release came the same week that McCain’s close friend, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, revealed that he had a cancerous brain tumor.

Also revealed: He has occasional momentary episodes of dizziness, when he gets up suddenly. McCain first told a doctor about them in 2000 – the visit that also uncovered the melanoma – and intense testing concluded they were harmless vertigo. He didn’t report any episodes at his most recent exam.

Overall, CBS News medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook said, McCain “actually stacks up pretty well” compared to past presidents from a health perspective.

I dodn’t even know about this vertigo.

  400. Candidate who famously lied or misled people about his health: Paul Tsongas.

This is not a permanent link to the September 12 issue of Morning Jolt, but it’ll work till tomorrow morning:

    http://www.nationalreview.com/jolt

You may recall that one of Bill Clinton’s rivals in the primary that year was Senator Paul Tsongas. God rest his soul, but Tsongas and his doctors lied through their teeth:

[Morning Jolt here links to the Baltimore Sun of January 26, 1997, probably syndicated from the New York Times, since LAwrence K. Altman is the author]

When Tsongas ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination the 1992 presidential campaign, he made an issue of his survival from a form of cancer known as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But Tsongas and his doctors at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Ronald W. Takvorian and George P. Canellos, repeatedly said he had been cancer-free when he had not. In so doing, they implied that the cancer was cured when indeed it was not curable.

Tsongas died in 1997. If he had been nominated and elected, he would not have completed his term. After 1993, he fought lymphoma again, spent much of the next four years in hospitals, eventually had an operation to deal with liver and heart problems that were complications of his cancer therapy. The surgery worked, but he passed away in the hospital . . . from pneumonia.

But it probably would have been better to elect him than Bill Clinton.

Once Mike Cernovich ran with his story about the large man of color and the epi-pen injector that guy vanished from the front lines of the campaign. I don’t think the guy was ever fully doxxed but they did have a close up of a lapel pin that seemed to suggest that he was some kind of a paramedic.

I don’t have any updated info on the gal traveling with Hillary in the pictures post-memorial but it makes sense to me that she’s a replacement for the original guy. She may be a nurse, PA, paramedic or doctor. I’m sure that Dr Lisa Bardock has a picture on file somewhere to make a comparison.

I know that SS should remain private and all that but I’m surprised that more isn’t known about all the subordinates surrounding both candidates.

As far as the Zeiss lenses go, they are used by some people to help prevent photosensitive epileptic seizures. I guess Hillary just wants to look like John Lennon.

Just for Lone Gunman speculation purposes I’ve seen someone suggest that Hillary’s seizure was actually a defibrillator going off. AFIB with RVR.

  412. @405– Watch the interview and listen to her closely, Sammy. She self-diagnoses herself about her coughing — then says she fainted twice ‘as best as I recall’– she’s all over the place– assumed her coughing was her spring/fall allergies and gives some vague excuse. She was throwing up everything on the wall to see what stuck. Wiggling like a mouse caught in a trap.
