People Starting to Openly Curse Obama

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 7:55 am

CNN:

Two Fox News commentators were suspended on Monday for using profanities while criticizing President Obama.
Ralph Peters, a Fox News “strategic analyst,” called the president a “total pu—” who “doesn’t want to hurt our enemies.”

A couple of hours later Stacey Dash, a Fox contributor, said the president “didn’t give a sh–” about Sunday night’s terrorism speech.

All I did was call him a “punk” — a term I never thought I’d use to describe an American president back in 2008.

People are getting fed up.

  1. I have been openly and privately cursing Obama since January 20, 2009.

  2. I want a bumper sticker saying, “Dissent Is the Highest Form of Patriotism.”

  4. Greetings:

Actually, I thought cursing was calling down evil on a person, place or thing. Using vulgar descriptors is somewhat different from that. But, I have recently noticed a marginal trend in the media to utilize terms like prick, balls, and nuts in both entertainment and information programming, so why not pussy ? If crap is okay, why not sh.. ?

  5. I have always thought he was a bad president, but not until his insulting reaction to these murders did I just feel loathing.

I guess he’s too busy going to parties to check in with the victims’ families as well.

  6. Getting fed up?

Where, O where, have you been the last 5 years or so?

  7. “Donald Trump said Thursday that the alleged ringleader of last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris is no master strategist. “This so-called leader of ISIS – he’s not a mastermind, he’s a punk,” the GOP presidential front-runner said of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who was killed in a police raid on Wednesday.” – The Hill, November 19, 2015

Just one more way Donald Trump is reshaping American politics: through the lexicon of political discourse.

  9. Unfortunately, when the anti-left sinks to the tactics of the left, it generally leads to attention and criticism of the tactics and the point is obscured,
likewise, even statements such as “I loathe..” which may be appropriately descriptive and reasonable, generally don’t help in the public debate such as on live TV.
That is NOT a criticism of using the term here.

  10. Well Obozo’s “charm” and “credibility” are both long past their sell by date. Folks are getting tired of lectures from the Oval Office about how they have disappointed the New Messiah of 2008.

  11. Oh, I don’t know. I think describing the president as a putz is pretty useful. It’s not like anyone cares about reasons anymore.

  12. a term I never thought I’d use to describe an American president back in 2008.

I recall calling Bill Clinton a “scroungebag,” so a truly negative characterization of a sitting president does predate November 2008. Nasty descriptions of the head of the US, or certainly people running for that office, go back to the beginning of this nation—ie, the back-and-fro name-calling during elections in, for example, the early 1800s got really intense.

When historians and film makers (many generally of the left) in the future want to do a documentary on the crud that the left/Democrat Party has given America over the past few decades, but try to make such people sound uplifting and heroic (“first black president!”—either Bill or Barry), that will be deserve a laugh or two.

  13. The real problem with Obama is that because he’s Black, there is a reticence about criticizing him, or even honestly evaluating his words and deeds. How else could this abject failure of a President maintain such high poll ratings? Our president embodies everything that is wrong with affirmative action: he actually believes the fawning press clippings. What was always hilarious about Eric Holder’s “honest discussion” comment is that what Holder really wants is even greater dishonesty about race. I’ve never believed that future historians, products of America’s most liberal institutions, could deal honestly with the Obama presidency when his contemporary Republican opponents are constantly pulling punches. The silver lining of the painful, if not frightening, denouement of the Obama presidency is that our fearful leader is making it very difficult for even the most ardent liberal to deny that he is delusional and feckless.
The practice of dishonestly judging the shortcomings of non-White, heterosexual males has always been, at its core, bigoted. It’s about time we start calling out multi-culti punks, even if it takes Donald Trump (and Patterico) to lead the way.

  14. Punk? I thought the world he used was “poltroon.”

Nothing gets you in trouble in this country today like telling the truth.

  15. Supposedly, journalists in Paris called him an “@$$hole” after his “this doesn’t happen in countries” remark, but the internet sources are not mainstream.

  16. One of my first posts here, 6 or 7 years ago, I said exactly what Peters said. And it made it through the filter.

That was back the “Good man” days.

Now, I think ropelight has nailed exactly what TFG is, in the most recent threads.

  20. i despise our #SCOAMF for content of his character (or lack thereof), not the color of his skin.

i imagine MLK Jr. would join me in my contempt for this worthless, unamerican scumbag.

i would not urinate on him if he was lying in the gutter on fire in front of me…

    redc1c4 (51aab8)

  21. The real problem with Obama is that because he’s Black…

he’s only half black, and i despise that part of this execrable POS just as much as i do the other.

    redc1c4 (51aab8)

  22. The real problem with Obama is that because he’s Black,

Thor, you naive fellow you. Just a few weeks ago, the media had no problem slagging on a prominent person who happens to be black, that being Ben Carson, and prior to that (or a few years ago), making mincemeat of another Republican/conservative who also is black, that being Herman Cain.

If Obama were a rightwinger, the type of media pundits, reporters and people in general most hesitant about excoriating the actual Obama — the leftwing Obama — would suddenly lose their ardor for cozying up to and protecting him.

I’m being only somewhat sarcastic when I say some of Barry’s current defenders (both black and white, etc) — were the current president not of the left but instead of the right, and devoutly so — might entertain the thought of putting on Klan hoods and stringing the guy up from the nearest tree.

    Mark (74fce8)

  23. I agree with everything you said Mark, except “might entertain the thought of putting on Klan hoods and stringing the guy up from the nearest tree.”. Barry would have been twistin’ in the wind 8 years ago.

  24. There is no way under any circumstances I would pass up on the opportunity to piss on this piece of shit.

    Donald (fd381b)

  25. Patterico,

Didn’t you call Obama a “sarcastic punk” a few weeks ago? He took a snide, or sarcastic if you will, shot at Republicans, who as a group are a rather milquetoast bunch.

  27. It doesn’t matter how bad Obama is. The reviews have already been printed and he was a smashing success. You, on the other hand, really let the country, and your President in particular, down. That’s further ‘proof’ that Obozo’s amazing.
