Harry Reid Blames Colorado Shooting on YouTube Videos

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 7:57 am

Can Hillary be far behind?

“We in the Senate should not fail to see the context in which this vile assault took place,” he added, pointing to the videos made by an anti-abortion group. “Since that time, the Republican Congress have made it their mission to push these unsubstantiated allegations every chance they get.” He urged lawmakers to be “mindful of our words and actions.”

The folks at the Center for Medical Progress better be careful. The last time they blamed a mass murder on YouTube videos, the video maker got arrested.

  1. Well there is always a chance that some IRS agent or EPA agent or OSHA agent or some other member of the bureaucracy decides to act on thier “own will” to make sure that CMP is completely within the law. That or the state/county/city level bureaucracy could decide to so the same. It isn’t harassment if they find stuff and continue follow up investigations to verify compliance.

  2. Harry reminds me of another fellow who mocked the truth.

  3. I’m telling you, they’ll push the lie that
    1) This was an attack against the baby-killers (PP) and
    2) that is was provoked because of the CMP videos.
And keep repeating it. And it will become the baby-killers’ “truth”.

As for Harry Reid, he is a liar who deliberately and maliciously lied about Romney’s taxes among other things, and has never presented any evidence that he, Harry Reid, is not a pederast.

  4. “…unsubstantiated allegations…”

Trust ol’ Harry to come up with a knee slapper or two in almost every sentence.

  5. Nk, it is the “truth” now. Doesn’t matter that it might have started as a bank protest (99%er?) or some other protest against society. Heck it could have eveb been a bank robbery that went souyh faster than a bit of mayo in the hot sun.

Nope this was pure TWNJ, gun carrying, bitter clinger, “Christian” terrorism like we see all the time from the right wing. The even more annoying media types like DU, Dk, MMfA, LAT, WaPo are making connections between this nutter and OKC, the nutter from Atlanta that fire bombed some abortion clinics and Tiller’s murder. There has been a big push on social media from PPA workers to talk of all the harassment they have received from the White Christian (and GOP voter) Terrorists that are pro-life.

  6. Harry Reid drools in his oatmeal. The elevator running to his brain stopped working years ago. All that’s left of his mind is the nasty part.

  7. A quote from Harry Reid about the House’s plan to block most Syrian refugees from coming into America:

Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested that Republicans should focus on other issues, including making sure suspected terrorists can’t buy guns or explosives.

“It seems so hard for me to comprehend that they’re more concerned about these handful of Syrian refugees than they are about things that are important,” he told reporters.

Senate Democrats have doubled down on legislation from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that would allow the attorney general to block the sale or transfer of a gun or explosive to a suspected or known terrorist if the individual is believed to use the weapons in an act of terrorism.

For Democrats, gun control is preferable to border control.

  9. The implication is that, seeing the horrors of the videos, any normal person would
naturally break into a murderous, furious rage.

  10. It is infuriating how this became an attack on PP when there is little to no evidence of that. 6 months from now, when the investigation is complete, it will show that the narrative is a complete effin lie but by then it will be accepted truth. I loathe the MFM. And the Dems.

  11. The pro-choice cult is understandably anxious about public revelation of their “final solution”. And clinical cannibalism, that too was historically legal in pro-choice (i.e. selective or unprincinpled) socities.

If anything, selective-child policy poses a greater threat to society and humanity than one-child policy, because where the latter is chosen by a left-wing regime, the former reflects a psychosis or moral insanity in a larger population.

    Never again, right?

Perhaps served with some fava beans and a nice Chianti or Champagne. Your choice. Pro-choice.

And don’t puff the hallucinatory dragon. Not in Colorado or anywhere else it is legal. You don’t know what is has been laced with. Keep Colorado weird, or is that Portland?

Morally sane people of the world, unite!

  13. Reid has to make his point this way. The old pederast has nothing else left.

I still don’t quite understand the charges Nabulah (sp?) was arrested or convicted on.

  14. Violation of his parole, Bill H. Tail end of his sentence from his previous conviction for committing some kind of computer/video/internet fraud. He was not allowed to use a computer or make videos or go on the internet or some combination of the three, without his parole officer’s permission. Totally bogus.

  15. yes, but he was in the witness protection program at the time, so they burned him against the people he testified against,(the details are a little murky,)

  18. well doubtful, it was Rosenberg’s tale, Reid as sen. harrison, was a midlevel fish in the deal,

*Don’t worry about the spelling of his name — he’s the kind of guy who uses several in order to confuse the records.

  20. My family was more closely involved in that story. It was my parents’ pension fund that Dorfman looted to finance the casino, and Spilotro killed him half a mile from my office. 😉

    nk (dbc370)

  21. I recall details of that, but rosenthal was given top billing, much like the phantom informant in
Bulger’s organization was conjured up in the Departed, the story was nowhere as clear,

Oh, I don’t feel sorry for the guy. All reports were as you said- a low-level POS cruisin’ for a bruisin’. In any normal circumstance it would have simply been he broke terms of his probation, back to jail you go. All those who support Sir Hillary don’t seem to get the level of cynicism and callousness required to blame some near-nobody for something like a long-planned terror attack thousands of miles away. I honestly can say the only other time I knew of anything like this, I have to reach back 80 years, to when Marinus van der Lubbe was blamed for the Reichstag fire.

  28. I still don’t quite understand the charges Nabulah (sp?) was arrested or convicted on.

He was arrested for violating his conditional release from federal prison (the parole there is when there is no parole). He was doing time for a computer-related fraud. A condition of his release was that he not use a computer withouthis supervisor’s permission. Thus there was no trial and no conviction, just straight back to prison to finish his original sentence.

The outrage is not that he was arrested, but that he was identified in the first place. How did his parole officer know that he’d been using a computer? Because Eric Holder ordered the FBI to find out who had made the video, so they could then find some reason to get him. And that was a blatant violation of the first amendment.

    Milhouse (8489b1)

  29. Bill H, the idea that the Nazis burned the Reichstag themselves was just communist propaganda. There has never been any reason to believe it.

    Milhouse (8489b1)

  30. the Reichstag fire was the pretext, much like the stabbing of that Gestapo official was for Kristallnacht, or the shooting of Lenin or the death of Kirov was for Stalin,

    Milhouse (8489b1) — 12/1/2015 @ 9:57 pm

I wasn’t trying to go Godwin or go off on a tangent here, but I’m going to disagree with you Milhouse. The Nazis had every reason for, at the least, aiding and abetting. I genuinely believe that van der Lubbe was set up as the fall guy. He was a known arsonist with a long history. All he had to do was set foot in the Reichstag, and the SA would take care of the rest. With Die Nacht Der Langen Messer, most all participants were silenced.

    Milhouse (8489b1) — 12/1/2015 @ 9:48 pm

Now- getting back to my original point: OK- I get it now. I was simply wondering how he could be fingered as the fall guy by our government. Come to see it was merely a crisis that couldn’t be wasted. The violation of his First Amendment rights was where I was also headed.

Goddamnit, that was so risible on the face of it. The woman who thought that enough of the American public would fall for such an inept coverup, the chutzpah is astounding. And to think that 45+% of all voters in the US actually believe this…..

Also, not to use false names.

What he did might possibly be considered fraud, if there anybody around who complained of being defrauded, but all the money for the movie trailer – and that’s all that was produced – came from Egypt. He said it came from his family or his wife’s family – something like that – but the money probably really came from the Moslem Brotehrhood or an equivalent/spinoff group. Basically, it ame from the terrorists or people who found it useful to create a pretext for something or other. (Something or other, because this may have been in the works for a few years)

    Still it’s largely technical violations.

Hillary is the big-time grifter and con-artsit par excellence,

She’s probably running for president in order to prevent indictments.

There’s even I think a policy in the Justice Departments against coming out with indictments that could influence an election, so she and Bill are probably already safe until the end of 2016, unless Obama personally approves an exception.

    and murderer.

I think that’s Bill. If she’d done nothing after 2008, the Statute of Limitations probably would have expired for her for everything.

    Sammy Finkelman (4d9cfa)

  38. Tell me about it, Wyowanderer. I’ve seen the videos also and I’m not declaring jihad on PP (I hope it’s politically incorrect to use the term “jihad”). Plus, I’m a Christian, white, heterosexual Lifetime member of the NRA.

    Hoagie (f4eb27)

  39. You could argue that maybe the money for the “movie” came from some Copts in Egypt and not from the Moslem Brotherhood or its sponsors (like Qatar) but he told everybody he was Jewish (and that his name was Sam Bacile) and that (local) Jews (in California) were financing the movie.

Now blaming the movie on Jews spells Islamic radicals. It seems they couldn’t resist throwing in a little something to help along hostility to and hatred of Jews.

He claimed he spent much more than he did (because he was claiming a full movie) but he really spent more than he later admitted raising and spending. There are three different dollar figures I think you can get for the cost of production (in descending order, the imaginary cost of the full movie, the amount it probably really cost, and the amount he later claimed it cost.)

The movie had various purposes, depending on whom he was dealing with. The title “Innocense of Moslems” makes it sound like it was a pro-Islamic movie. And so it was advertised one time for a showing. It was also supposed to show the persecution or problems for Copts in Egypt – this he told to Copts – and (for the actors) to be a totally unrelated non-controversial movie.

Nothing about what he did can be taken at face value.
