Incredible Interactive Map Shows Migration Patterns to Europe

I’ll be really lucky if this embeds properly, but a site called Lucify.com has a truly awesome interactive map which tracks migration into Europe from North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Persian Gulf. If it doesn’t show up below, go to the site on their page here.

On one hand, the US’s immigration isn’t as foreign (same religion, work ethic, many common values). But we have more of them. But Germany has had this common ethnic identity (at times fairly strongly) and the people coming there are about as foreign as foreign gets and show little inclination to assimilate. A million Muslims into Germany may well be more than the society can handle. A government remonstrating its citizens as if they were slow children doesn’t help.
