Democrats Behaving Badly, Chuck Schumer Edition (UPDATE: Ancient Story)
UPDATE: This is an old story, as it turns out. But a good one. See UPDATE below.
What a surprise that Chuck Schumer is an ill-mannered boor!
Sen. Chuck Schumer apologized today after word got out that he called a flight attendant a “bitch” for ordering him to follow the rules and turn off his cellphone before takeoff. . . . Schumer and his seatmate, [Sen. Kirsten] Gillibrand, were chatting on their cellphones when the plane’s captain told passengers to turn them off.
But the two Democratic senators ignored the order and kept talking — prompting a flight attendant to ask them to follow Federal Aviation Administration rules, according to a House Republican aide who was seated nearby.
Schumer asked if he could finish his call. The attendant said “no” because the plane was waiting for him to finish so it could take off. The state’s senior senator ended his call, but then launched into an argument with her, claiming he was entitled to continue his chat until the cabin door was closed.
“She said she doesn’t make the rules, she just followed them,” the aide said, according to Politco.com.“Bitch!” Schumer remarked to Gillibrand after the attendant walked away.
Meanwhile, as Dana notes below, Hillary parked the luxurious Scooby Van in a handicapped zone.
Democrat politicians. They don’t have to behave like you and I do. Because, you see, they’re just better.
UPDATE: Ha! The dangers of taking stories off Facebook, without checking the date, illustrated. This story is five years old. Thanks to prowlerguy, who (unlike me) bothered to look at the date.
Odd thing is, I don’t remember hearing about it at the time.
Ding.

Kevin M (25bbee) — 4/16/2015 @ 7:31 pmI keep forgetting: is “bitch” one of those words we aren’t supposed to use when describing Hillary! Clinton?
Another fun story: back in 1995 when he was a first-term congressman, the Boston Herald gossip column reported that Patrick Kennedy (son of Ted) was drunk (surprise) and holding court (surprise, surprise) late at night (surprise x 3), in a fashionable Washington DC bar (surprise x 4). He was overheard slurring to a drinking companion and everyone in earshot, “You know what? It’s true what they say: Hillary really is a bitch!” Back in those pre-blog days young Mr. Kennedy was able to get away with giving a no comment and the story went nowhere.
JVW (a1146f) — 4/16/2015 @ 7:46 pm“Bitch!” Schumer remarked to Gillibrand after the attendant walked away.
That reminds me of the way that Bill Clinton resorts to using the “n” word when angry with (or apparently even casually dismissive of) a person who happens to be black, or his doormat, Hillary, singles out the ethnic background of a Jewish person she’s resentful of. Plus such people of the left are chock-o-block with an extra layer of self-entitlement because, after all, liberalism imbues one with a halo of generosity, tolerance and compassion, so such people automatically deserve special consideration and forgiveness.
Mark (6c31df) — 4/16/2015 @ 7:48 pmNot that I disagree with the appraisal of Chuckie (or Democrats in general, for that matter), but this story is over five years old.

It happened in 2009, when Hope and Change was in full flower and nary a dissenting word was to be uttered about Democrats by our benighted media. Of course, apart from that whole Hope and Change being in full flower thing, nothing much as changed.
JVW (a1146f) — 4/16/2015 @ 9:54 pmI recall hearing or reading about the story years ago. But don’t worry; he hasn’t changed. It’s not like that disclaimer you get on a stock prospectus. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. So a post on his past behavior remains a useful lesson.
