Brian Williams Does Interview with Stars and Stripes

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 6:19 pm

Here. Plus, MoDo reveals that his buffoonish self-puffery was a running joke at NBC and well known to execs there. (Look at MoDo, makin’ the copies actual news!)

Anyone think he actually survives all this?

  1. I wouldn’t say she made any news. There are many, many reports circulating of people within NBC who now say, in effect, “Oh yes, we knew he was a serial fabulist.”

If this is news and newsworthy, and if she’s reporting it: Where’s her excuse for keeping silent about it until now?

I regret having clicked that link.

  2. I am surprised that when he blew off the Medal of honor reception incident hasn’t gained more traction. And ding.

  3. like nbc has any credibility to begin with. I stopped paying attention to the media when I finally realized they were nothing but propagandists for the democrat party. But, from this point on anyone watching nbc has to wonder is this really news, opinion or fiction?

  5. Reports have the top 2 women execs at NBC working overtime to keep Brian Williams in the Nightly News anchor’s chair. Deborah Turness, President of NBC News, and her boss Pat Fili-Krushel, Chairwoman, NBC Universal News Group, are fearful that if the bell rings for Williams, it tolls for them too.

Since the 2 took over, NBC has seen 2 of its top shows eclipsed: Today has fallen behind Good Morning America, and Meet the Press has continued to lose significant ground and is still casting about to find a credible personality to lead the show back to influence, respectability, and ratings. If Williams’ self-destructive loss of credibility takes him down, inside scuttlebutt is the resulting whirlpool takes Turness and Fili-Krushel down too.
