New Black Panther Official: Hatchet-Wielding Attacker Was “Crusader Seeking Justice”
The Muslim extremist who attacked rookie cops with a hatchet last week was “a crusader seeking justice’’ — and more assaults will likely follow, the head of his local New Black Panther Party warned.
“It probably won’t be the last [attack on police] because you have a lot of frustrated people out here,” Queens chapter leader Frank Sha Francois told The Post.
Francois reassuringly added that he did not agree with the tactics of this “crusader seeking justice.”
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this is not the height of responsible rhetoric.
Ding.
Patterico (9c670f) — 10/27/2014 @ 7:44 amRemember when the left had a hissy fit because NYPD had infiltrated some local mosques and the Moslem Student Association at NYU? It seems pretty crystal clear to me that the police should be keeping an eye on young Moslems just about everywhere, “racial” profiling be dammed.

nk (dbc370) — 10/27/2014 @ 8:19 amMr. Francois sounds like a “no justice, no peace” type.
I doubt, nk, he’s going to like what the justice and the peace look like.

Funny, I’m frustrated too–but at the number of slum rats who think it is “racial injustice” when a cop shoots a violent black thug.
pst314 (ae6bd1) — 10/27/2014 @ 11:26 amIs Francois the same shrill shill who went down to Duke to mangum the lacrosse players falsely accused by the hooker?

Colonel Haiku (c0421f) — 10/27/2014 @ 12:14 pmThis was actually almost certainly more a racially motivated attack than a religious attack, so the New Black Panther party oifficial is correct about the motive.
Only the New York Post had this – hinted at in the Saturday paper, more solid in the Sunday paper. Everybody seems to have suppressed the fact that the attacker was black.
New ork Post, Saturday, October 25, 2014, page 8 and 9: (the headline as it appeared in print in the the newspaper – online headline is different)
Qns. fanatic called for ‘revolt’ within US
The next paragraph is omitted and skipped in the online report, but it goes:

Sammy Finkelman (d22d64) — 10/27/2014 @ 12:39 pmsomeone is obviously confused: if the attacker was a head banger, he obviously can’t be a Crusader, since that’s a term that applies to Christians.
just another case of sudden jihadi syndrome from the religion of pieces, with some racism thrown in for good measure.
redc1c4 (2b3c9e) — 10/27/2014 @ 12:46 pmFunny choice of language “crusader seeking justice”. Mr. Francois doesn’t seem to consider the word origin of “Crusader” as a fighter in the wars literaly named for their objective of bringing the Cross back to the Holy Land. I doubt that the attacker, described as a “Muslim convert”, would have wanted to be described as fighting for Christianity.
Yes, Batman was called the “Caped Crusader” without Christian overtones, but you can’t really take the Cross out of the Crusades.
