I have been told that in Philly (actually I mentioned this before in another thread), police officers in an incident that will be reviewed by the DA routinely do not write anything because of 5th Amendment rights, but they are required to give a verbal report to their supervisor or they get fired automatically. This verbal report to their super is not admissible in court, but it does give the police an idea of how to proceed themselves as a department. I do not know how widespread this policy is across the nation, but it is standard policy and does not necessarily reflect one way or another on the individual obeying the policy.

Off topic, but not really: The rocket that killed the 4-year-old Israeli boy today was fired from a UNRWA school. Not from outside the school but from inside the school grounds. What I want to know is why the school still exists. Why was it not flattened five minutes after this was determined? When is Netanyahu going to stop playing games?

Your news is later than mine. I only read about the rocket that missed a school, where people also were protected.

Hamas seems to be shooting off all their remaining rockets.

They didn’t flatten the school because it is pointless now.

What I want to know is why Qatar is left alone in this. Qatar ordered Hamas to do this. That’s where the responsibility truly lies.

Wherein was the overreaction, nops? The Secret Service told Bush what was going on, but they needed a few minutes to form up the convoy to take him to the airport. So he kept reading to the kids until they could leave.

As opposed to Preezy “Not my problem your kid just got beheaded” Obama. Who couldn’t stay out of the limelight and off the golf course long enough for the Foley’s to complete their press availability.

Clearly those who lead or control ISIS have some command and control ideas and plans. I don’t know that they have cells anywhere outside of Syria and Iraq except maybe the Gaza Strip, and Sinai. The Caliph Ibrahim did not manage to get most of the old al Qaeda network to change their loyalty to him.

Not the boots on the ground thing – that almost makes sense – send high ranking officers not privates or sergeants.

Oe thinbg is he is going to have to reverse himself.

He is going to bomb in syria – now he’s going to ry to hit only supply lines into Iraq, but still bomb.

A political settlement in Syria will not be necessary to attack ISIS.

If it is not necessary in Syria, it wasn’t necessary in Iraq either.

The safe way to release him was at a UN checkpoint at the Golan Heights and he flew back too the United States out of Tel Aviv.

So Qatar, which ordered Hamas to resume firing, now ordered Hamas to stop.
