Harry Reid: Hobby Lobby Result of Those “Five White Men” on the Supreme Court
He is . . . not a genius:
“The one thing we are going to do during this work period, sooner rather than later, is to ensure that women’s lives are not determine by virtue of five white men,” Reid said. “This Hobby Lobby decision is outrageous and we are going to do something about it. People are going to have to walk down here and vote.”
The Hobby Lobby was written by Samuel Alito, joined by justices John Roberts, Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy . . . and Clarence Thomas.
Who is still black.
That’s a statement calculated to appeal to the racist views of his political constituency.
AZ Bob (34bb80) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:16 amAnd “Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.”
Lorem Ipsum (cee048) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:21 amIt seems Harry Reid is afraid of sounding anti-Catholic, so he said “white” even though that excluded Clarence Thomas, while if he would have said “Catholic” men it would have perfectly distinguished between the 5 who ruled one way and the 4 who ruled the other, and this was a religious issue and not a racial one.
Sammy Finkelman (cd2969) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:27 amAn iconic idiot if there ever was one. The Fright from Searchlight couldn’t find his own ass with two hands and a searchlight.
Colonel Haiku (2601c0) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:30 amThat he is still the leader of the Senate Democrats tells me something about the rank and file Dems, and it is not good.
MD in Philly (f9371b) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:36 amThank goodness Sammy is here to divine what Harry Reid actually said.
Hadoop (f7d5ba) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:36 amI thought the decision was determined by the facts and the law rather than progressive wishcasting. Silly me.
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:59 amSaul Alinsky Rule 12
“Five white men” attacks the justices not the substance of the decision. He might as well said those EVIL five white men.
Tell me how the proposed law isn’t a violation of the first amendment of the constitution?
How is this not “prohibiting the free exercise thereof”?
Tanny O'Haley (87b2aa) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:04 amAn old white Mormon blaming the white patriarchy. That’s rich. But it’s a sound bite that will be accepted unquestioningly by the Democrat base who think the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1812 by George Washington Carver.
nk (dbc370) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:19 amMD in Philly you do realize we’re talking about the political party who Booed God at their convention. Three times. What should we expect from Godless leftists? To them The State is their god, abortion their sacrament, glow-ball warming their altar Algore their high priest and Obama their pope.
Hoagie (4dfb34) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:19 amSomebody has to explain to me how, if your employer does not pay for your contraception, it’s stopping you from obtaining it. I suppose if they’re gonna include contraception as medical perhaps they should include tampons, pads, Vagasil, Motrin and the age old Summer’s Eve. The actual “war on women” is being executed by leftists who believe women are so stupid and helpless that without the force of government they will forever have vaginal itch.
Hoagie (4dfb34) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:31 amRobert Stacy McCain from The Other McCain
Hoagie (4dfb34) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:37 amAh, “reputed pederast” Harry Reid.
Mojo (00b01f) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:38 amI would love it if the Mormon Church found it necessary to repudiate the racist, sexist and statist views of the Majority Leader.
Kevin M (b357ee) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:55 amBy the way, I am almost positive that no insurance pays for condoms. I think it is reprehensible that the government stops men from getting condoms.
Kevin M (b357ee) — 7/9/2014 @ 8:58 amthe pervert roberts court is a sad pitiful gaggle of harvard trash whores and spinsters i think
happyfeet (8ce051) — 7/9/2014 @ 9:05 amNo he’s not, he’s a conservative.
Peter B (b74e27) — 7/9/2014 @ 9:15 amAnd Thomas stopped being black in 1974 when he went to work for John Danforth instead of Tom Eagleton. Don’t you all know how that works?
nk (dbc370) — 7/9/2014 @ 9:17 amGreat minds think alike, Peter B.
nk (dbc370) — 7/9/2014 @ 9:18 amBy the way, I am almost positive that no insurance pays for condoms. I think it is reprehensible that the government stops men from getting condoms.
Well, as far as I know the city of West Hollywood (and maybe Santa Monica too?) still requires all bars to have a jar of free condoms available for patrons. They can’t even have the 50 cent condom machine in the men’s room any more; the rubbers have to be gratis. So local governments are stepping in where the federal government refuses to act.
JVW (da8a30) — 7/9/2014 @ 9:40 amIt ain’t no big thing. So what if Harry Reid thinks Clarence Thomas is white? He isn’t of course, and Reid knows it, but Democrats so often express deep and unquestionable belief in all sorts of nutty phenomena they’re practiced at doing it with a straight face while at the same time exuding all the manufactured certainty of a big city wino pestering pedestrians for soup money.
Harry Reid’s already made a fool of himself so many times over such a long and undistinguished career this latest gaff won’t come close to elevating him to Joe Biden territory.
ropelight (4b1a86) — 7/9/2014 @ 10:23 amPlanned Parenthood use to give them away free, and probably still do.
Hadoop (379e8e) — 7/9/2014 @ 10:32 amSammy sez:
“It seems Harry Reid is afraid of sounding anti-Catholic, so he said “white” even though that excluded Clarence Thomas, while if he would have said “Catholic” men it would have perfectly distinguished between the 5 who ruled one way and the 4 who ruled the other, and this was a religious issue and not a racial one.”
But the wise latina on the court is a Catholic too so how does that fit into your theory?
Mark Johnson (77a382) — 7/9/2014 @ 12:54 pmSammy did write “Catholic men”, but Sotomayor is probably a “Cafeteria” Catholic anyway.
Hadoop (f7d5ba) — 7/9/2014 @ 1:03 pmRe: #9… what are you implying, nk?
Colonel Haiku (2601c0) — 7/9/2014 @ 1:34 pmDingy Harry is the perfect symbol of the atheist dolts who make up the DemonRAT party. they are so busy felching Obama they have no time for reality.
John Cunningham (b43a73) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:02 pmcorrect me if i’m wrong, but didn’t the Searchlight Strangle help pass the law that this suit was filed under?
or is he so senile that he doesn’t remember anything he did in the 90’s?
redc1c4 (abd49e) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:17 pm“Strangler”…
sheesh.
redc1c4 (abd49e) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:17 pm“correct me if i’m wrong, but didn’t the Searchlight Strangle help pass the law that this suit was filed under?”
redc1c4 – The law was pretty universally supported. Dingy Harry used to be very anti-illegal immigrant until his wife smacked him upside the head in the mid-1990s.
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:40 pm#29–that smack upside the head must have done some serious damage–half of the time Reid doesn’t even sound coherent.
rochf (f3fbb0) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:43 pmReid used to box, so it may be a residual effect from taking a few too many to the noggin.
Hadoop (f7d5ba) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:51 pmThe alleged pederast did have a stroke he unsuccessfully tried to hide back in ’05 or ’06, I believe, so you don’t know how much damage it caused. I don’t think he ever wore those Hillary clotty brain glasses, though.
daleyrocks (bf33e9) — 7/9/2014 @ 2:54 pmReid HAS taken too many blows to the chi… and not in the ring.
Colonel Haiku (5d5973) — 7/9/2014 @ 3:18 pmChin
Colonel Haiku (5d5973) — 7/9/2014 @ 3:19 pmDear America,
All five of the men who voted for the majority on the Hobby Lobby decision are clean, articulate, bright, nice-looking guys. I bet none of them has ever worked at a 7/Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts.
Signed,
Joe Biden
Elephant Stone (6a6f37) — 7/9/2014 @ 3:27 pmSammy #3,
You’re utterly ridiculous.
Elephant Stone (6a6f37) — 7/9/2014 @ 3:31 pmYou always rush to the rescue with the wildest O.J. Simpson explanations when left wingers behave (or speak) badly.
Harry Reid is anti-White. Imagine if he said that Black judges should be disobeyed, because they are Black?
EricD (ee95a0) — 7/9/2014 @ 6:55 pmHave you all seen this? https://twitter.com/iowahawkblog/status/486568950533066753/photo/1
nk (dbc370) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:11 pmHow did Janice Rogers brown rule on this issue?
Michael Ejercito (becea5) — 7/9/2014 @ 7:14 pmHarry Reid continues to be the smallest minded slimey little sumbitch in Washington D.C.
Skeptical Voter (12e67d) — 7/9/2014 @ 10:35 pmReid supporters might say he is colorblind, but we know the truth is that he just doesn’t look too closely at men once they are older than about 16.
