Most Transparent Administration Ever

Look up “stonewalling” in the dictionary and this is what you’ll find:

–Dana

Note: I’m adding this to the post as well. It looks like things are going to get uglier at the Murrieta Border Patrol station tomorrow:

Jeremy Oliver, a resident of Temecula, California–a town that neighbors Murrieta–told Breitbart Texas that local police officers warned the protesters that “it’s going to get ugly.”

Oliver said, “The feds are pissed that they haven’t been able to use this facility. Officers out there warned people that federal agents will be in Murrieta on Monday–they are going to get the next bus through no matter what. Riot gear and shields will be used to push the crowd back.”

John Henry, a Murrieta resident since 1991, was told the same thing by local officers.

“We’re being told that federal Marshals or ICE will be here in the next few days and that they are bringing riot gear,” Henry said. “They’re apparently going to be blocking off the street with concrete blockades so that no vehicles can get through. The River County Sheriff’s Department showed up last night and brought a huge watch tower that shoots up into the air 35 feet.”

  2. red1c4,

A more appropriate title for the post, indeed.

  3. Wow, it’s quite a skill set to spout so many words and not impart any knowledge whatsoever.

    Gazzer (002e13)

  4. I kept waiting for Johnson to mention a video… these Obama bureaucrats are all the same… zombie-like, rote repitition of marching orders… all of this has come about as Obama intended, he’s trying to overwhelm the system and thinks he can force action on amnesty and use this to vilify the Republicans he hates in 2014 and beyond.

    Colonel Haiku (2601c0)

  5. So what is it that is happening at this facility that these folks don’t like?

    dan (a49902)

  6. There are 20 million people within 4 hours drive of Murrieta. They might find there are more protesters by morning.

    Kevin M (b357ee)

  7. the union trash in charge of sloshing these kids hither and yither didn’t sign up for “it’s gonna get ugly” so they’ll have to bring in some swat thugs from somewheres

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  8. They are looking for more flexible options.

    JD (41da8c)

  9. Can’t wait to see Obama’s brownshirts shock-trooping Americans in order to continue their conspiracy of human trafficking.

Last time I checked, facilitating human trafficking was a felony. And it is completely legal to bring force, even lethal force, against anyone in the commission of a felony.

    someguy (84ecc5)

  10. It’s the protesters who are breaking the law.

They are denying the federal government the use of a federal facility.

And for no reason AT ALL.

    Sammy Finkelman (cd2969)

  11. the good people of Murrieta are already well ahead of where the Germans were against the Nazis at this stage of the game

and it do a pikachu’s heart good to see it

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  12. Now if their big issue is enforcing the law, they are contradicting themselves.

Let them go to court if they think Obama is doing something illegal. He’s not.

This whole protest is dishonest on three counts:

    1) That there is great danger from these foreigners. (This lie is necessary to turn out a crowd)

    2) That there is nothing bad they want for these foreigners lives (I saw a picture of a “come legally sign. Well, that’s a BIG LIE. There’s no way for them to do that.

    3) That there is some otehr disposition possible for them.

We have the claim that the BORDER should be guarded.

Well, that’s exactly what Obama is doing as far as these people are concerned. That’s why they are in those buses!

As for sending them back. That’s not actually not legally possible, even if they agree to go in the case of minors under the age of 18 unaccompanied by a legal guardian, thanks to an anti-human trafficking law passed in 2008, for aliens not from Mexico or Canada. And many of those being sent to Murieeta fit into that category.

    Sammy Finkelman (cd2969)

  13. Go get em Americans, roll that fricken bus on it’s side and then arrest the illegal aliens.

    mg (31009b)

  14. that would be so cool – just like a movie or something

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  15. Sammy, how many of these people are you letting stay at your house? If you have not opened every available room to them you are not being honest and should not advocate their staying. Please give them your space first then I will give them mine. Or do you make money off their plight?

    highpockets (bc1bd4)

  16. As for sending them back. That’s not actually not legally possible

For a president who picks and chooses what laws to uphold, that’s a weak argument.

    Kevin M (b357ee)

  17. Sammy,

It’s funny how those most vocal about wanting them to remain are generally not living in one of the border states and as such, are not directly impacted.

    Dana (4dbf62)

  18. Sammy, how many of these people are you letting stay at your house?

I envision people like him holding a cup of coffee, with their pinkie in the air, saying, “But, of course! Just allow me to clean up, stock up the fridge, and check with the neighbors first. I’ll get back to you when I’m done.” (Or, as the phrase goes, “the check is in the mail.”)

BTW, it is my understanding that Obama isn’t intrinsically a leftwinger and that commentator Pat Buchanan loves blood and violence.

    Mark (cb6333)

  19. that tree of liberty is looking pretty thirsty

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  20. The law was intended to be compassionate, but like a lot of nice gestures people find a way to misuse this one.
Any other country in the world would think the height of compassion would be to bundle the kids off to their embassy or consulate and say “here are your children” and wipe their hands.

    Steveg (794291)

  21. the law was intended to supply tom donohue and the other chamber of commerce perverts a steady supply of young boys

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  22. ==This whole protest is dishonest on three counts:==

Sammy, why do you think you seem to be so wildly at odds with the sentiment of almost every other commenter on this thread? What informs your position or your views that you believe all others are missing?

    elissa (e00883)

  23. Reference “someguy” @10: That is NOT the law and advising that it is will only get someone in serious trouble, not to mention get someone killed.

Since you appear unclear on when to use lethal force I would like to recommend a book:
“The Law of Self-defense” by Andrew Branca. Contact with Andrew can be achieved through LegalInsurrection.com. The book can be purchased there or through our host’s Amazon thingy right here on this page.

I return you now to your normal commenting.

  27. Put it on the credit card. It’s free money, right. We only borrow $.40 on every $1.00. When the Fed raises interest rates. And they will eventually raise interest rates. We’ll be sitting pretty with $20 trillion in debt. Gas will be $4.50+ and we’ll reap the whirlwind of another sweet recession!

He!!, why not bring every child under eighteen from Central American to the US? That may reduce the incidents of rape and molestation. Disease, not so much. I’m sure the UN will give us a gold humanitarian star for the effort. Oh well, we haven’t had a good pandemic in a while. Don’t wanna be takin’ no public transportatin’!

    Hadoop (f7d5ba)

  28. they’ve put thousands of these scabies-infested urchins on airplanes Mr. Hadoop

i was reading how sometimes you don’t know you have scabies for up to two months after you’re exposed to them

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  29. Sammy, are you for the immigration reform bill? If so, why? What magic mechanism in the legislation would prevent what’s happening now? IOW, how would it prevent the US from having to take these children and provide them with food, lodging, medical care, education and a lawyer?

I’m all for a solution, as long as it’s an actual solution. This @$$h@t thinks he’s being cute by half not answering the questions posed to him. If the pending legislation had any real solutions, don’t you think he’d have the talking points handy to assure the American people that we wouldn’t have to pass a bill to find out what’s in it?

Where’s the debates on C-SPAN? I can hardly wait to find out how much the lawyers representing the illegals cost the American taxpayer. I’m sure we’ll get a group rate.

    Hadoop (f7d5ba)

  30. Take your shoes off and get scabies, too.

I’m quite sure ObamaCare has a provision whereby communicable diseases transmitted via undocumented carriers will be at no cost to the patient. The insurance companies will just have to get reimbursed by the government, because…well, just because. It’s freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    Hadoop (f7d5ba)

  32. Well, that’s a BIG LIE. There’s no way for them to do that.

It’s called applying for a visa. There may be a waiting list. And, of course, the US takes in over 1 million immigrants a year. Do you feel that’s too few? What would be an ideal number in your estimation? Would you have any requirements for potential immigrants?

If the children were wanted, they wouldn’t be here in the first place. It seems that your anger is misdirected. Seems like the Central American countries where they were born couldn’t care less about them.

I have no doubt you’d love to have a couple of the children, then you wouldn’t have to travel to Bangkok in order to show your special kind of concern. Go get’m tiger!

    Hadoop (f7d5ba)

  41. Sammy, every one of those kids is guilty of illegal entry, six-month federal misdemeanor, and can be sent back immediately on the basis of it. Every one. It is one hundred percent against the law.

It is only a choice of not to prosecute and send them back.
It is only a choice of which laws to enforce, and which laws not to.

    luagha (1de9ec)

  42. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singlestick

Singlestick, also known as cudgels, refers to both a martial art that uses a wooden stick as well as the weapon used in the art. It began as a way of training soldiers in the use of swords such as the sabre.[citation needed] Canne de combat, a French form of stick fighting, is similar to singlestick play, but is more a method of self-defense with a walking stick…

A good form of training involves an axe or a maul or some such. Whatever weight you can handle. Something with a weight at the end of what amounts to a stick.

…The art, occasionally practised by a few fencing veterans in the United Kingdom, was revived by the Royal Navy in the 1980s. Within today’s martial arts community, a growing interest in traditional Western martial arts has revived interest in this particular form of weapon training.

Not single stick. More Indian clubs.

Begin with the item extended in front. Swing it behind your back, then in front as in a chopping motion.

Squat. Bring your weight down as you swing the weight down.

  44. I think maybe people here are trying to focus on the illegal entry of “immigrants” and the administration’s imperial attitude and secrecy. Steve57 you just posted your fourth totally off-topic comment. Why?

    elissa (e00883)

  45. JD, I was under the impression that Perry was “done” posting here. Did something change? I mean, the same crazy dude with a new handle is still the same crazy dude. Right?

  46. @ vota,

I’ve gone through and re-read your comments here and at several other posts. I’m sorry, but they’re just dumb and boring and pedestrian. Nothing original, no spark, no challenge. At the very least, can you please try to make them witty?

    Dana (4dbf62)

  47. Mr. vota doesn’t add value but i like how he provides context

    Steve57 (efd576)

  51. Now.

    Steve57 (efd576)

  52. Actually, I like vota’s idea of deporting Republicans. There are a lot of countries that need help and guidance to build wealth and and overcome socialist despots. They may like Americans on their shore to help them build successful lives despite the corrupt governments they endure. Thanks vota. When do the deportations start? Can you imagine a bunch of Republicans helping people in Guatemala or El Salvador or Honduras?

Oops, they are already there through charities, churches and non-profits. Quite unlike Democrats who don’t bother except for things such as the NSA, the CIA, the military and multinational banks investing in lefty dictators to enrich Democrat politicians. Obama ain’t called President Goldman-Sachs for nothing.

Depend on the government to reach your Nirvana. I am sure that will work out well for you.

Deport us, buddy. It would be the best thing that ever happened to conservatives. Of course, when you finally get what you want, you may be disappointed with the result.

  53. Perry – I say this in all sincerity. Please get help.

I wonder what he’s like in real life? I’m always curious whether people of his ilk, when the mask is stripped away, either conform or don’t conform to certain stereotypes, good or bad.

I’m still trying to get over the reality that beloved figureheads of the left, such as Franklin D Roosevelt or Bill and Hillary, etc, can be surprisingly rotten, even bigoted humans behind closed doors. I admit that in my younger years I did fall for the notion that a person’s do-gooder ideology on the surface reflected a good heart below the surface. D’oh!

    Mark (cb6333)

  54. Actually, I like vota’s idea of deporting Republicans.

In turn, I think it’s only fair he be transported to the city of Detroit, in which over 90 percent of its inhabitants think and vote the way he does. A true nirvana, a land of great kindness and decency, of great humaneness, of wonderful opportunities, to be sure. Please book him a ticket today!

    Mark (cb6333)

  55. I’m always astonished at how cynical these people are, Mark. All that matters is the narrative and the result. The real consequences to fellow humans matters nothing. From Marx to Lenin to Stalin to Cloward-Pevin to Ayers, people are a tool for smart people to enjoy a dacha by the lake. They are Squealer, Old Major, Napoleon and Snowball. Tools.
