  7. First, I would congratulate Oliver Hirschbiegel for his template, although I doubt he really appreciates what was done with his movie.

    Second, I would say that happy is more obvious than a n avocado smoothie with hot sauce.

    Third, is anyone really surprised that Obamacare has turned into such a crap sandwich?

    I mean every one knew this would happen except the true believers, but everyone seems to be going through some sort of Kabuki theater as if it’s surprise.

    I mean, we all thought they would string it along a while to sucker us in, adding more and more regulations, etc. But no, they added all the regulations up front and crashed everything.

  13. WaPo has an article today noting that the website is likely to miss their new end-of-November date, and indicates that CGI Federal is still trying to make their hopeless code work. Which won’t happen.

    Wonder what Hitler would have to say about that?

    I was a little surprised that the web site didn’t work. Implementation of the actual legislation is where I thought they’d stumble.

    The president knew the importance of the web site and even told his staff it had to work. The fact that no one felt that they could inform him that it wasn’t ready is quite telling.

  16. If the president wanted the website to work, he shouldn’t have hired CGI or let anyone else hire CGI.

    But then, he’d have to have managerial skill to do that, or participate in basic research to know of CGI’s past history of failures.

  20. One of my court rptr friends was packing up after doctor’s depo – he was so unpset re OBcare that she said he kept her at least a half to vent. His wife is atty & both in fumes. My friend’s husband’s employer is getting hit with sig’ly higher ins. rates – they had their deducts. & co-pays rise quite a bit. CEO suggested it may be necessary to take the business overseas. Last dr. whose dep I took said he simply will not endure any more cuts to Medicaid, not only low rates, but absymally long to be reimbursed. Will keep Medicare as long as rates stable. Free OBcare court reporter therapy for venting docs:)

This veers off the intent of this blog entry, but since the theme does incorporate the use of Adolph Hitler, I’m still astonished about the generally unspoken reality of both him and his arch-nemesis, Franklin D Roosevelt. Namely, that Hitler apparently was a flat-out homosexual who espoused vegetarianism and animal rights, while Roosevelt made no bones about his supporting quotas to restrict Jews in clubs and government, stated they were to blame for the hatred rising against them in 1930s Europe, was proud of the purity of American bloodlines (ie, presumably of whites), and described the offspring of whites and Asians as regrettable.

    Lesson of the day: Don’t judge a book by its cover.

    There was something he kept hidden about his sexual practices, but it probably wasn’t homosexuality. His niece was female, as was Eva Braun and no males ever were linked to him. Many of followers were homosexuals, until he decided to kill them in 1934.

    Hitler was a health nut and that’s why he was a vegetarian and it is also why he started World War II when he did. He thought a man is uselsss after age 56, (based on Charles V, the Kinng of spain and Holy Roman Emperor who abdicated at that age) so he had to finish by that age.

    So for him, 1939 was now or never to conquer the world, build lasting monuments, and kill the Jews.

    In reality, human decline is both more gradual, and uncertain, but with abrupt drops, and that’s what’s keeps tyrants always looking to the future, plus many ahve children.
