Saturday Night Music

I meant to link this last weekend. Nice find by Slate’s Jack Shafer: Dillard and Clark covering the Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down.”

The next one is different: while looking for recordings of Gershwin songs featuring a simple voice and piano arrangement, I ran across a YouTube video of Frances Gershwin (George and Ira’s sister) singing three songs, including “Someone to Watch Over Me.” My dad was a big Gershwin fan, and I know he would have loved this. Only 45 views? Crazy!
