Stacy McCain on Rauhauser and Friends

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 6:34 pm

Stacy McCain:

I consider every claim made by Kimberlin and Rauhauser to be a deliberate lie until proven otherwise. Kimberlin is a convicted perjurer who has been described as a con man, and Rauhauser’s habitual dishonesty is so easily demonstrated that I do not hestitate to say of him, as Mary McCarthy said of Lillian Hellman, that every word he says is a lie, including “and” and “the.”

The motive for Rauhauser’s deceit is obvious enough to anyone with common sense, but as a journalist, I am content to let the wheels of justice continue turning slowly, knowing they grind exceedingly fine.

McCain is a stand-up guy who means it when he says he is standing with those of us who have suffered harassment at the hands of Kimberlin and Rauhauser. Go read his whole post.

Then, if you want to hear something amusing, listen to this BlogTalkRadio program. Rauhauser calls in at 44:20 and callers spend the better part of an hour calling him a psychopath, a stalker, and a publisher of insane gibberish. He dodges questions about paying child support, Brett Kimberlin, and what he does for a living. It’s pretty amusing (and bizarre) stuff.

P.S. William Hoge’s blog is worth your time as well.

  1. Is that the stupidest fake south asian accent ever, there at 42:00 ?

  2. I hear Neal at 44:20 BTW.

  3. I have to say, watching Rauhauser’s meltdown is strangely like passing a horrible train wreck. You can’t help but look; you don’t want people to see that you’re looking; you’re glad you’re not them . . . and then you shudder a little bit, shake it off, and go on with your day.

Anybody who has been following his ravings knows exactly what I’m talking about. (The other people on the show, for example, who mock him for his stalkery gibberish.) If you haven’t been . . . you’re not missing much, any more than you’re missing anything by not looking at the train wreck.

  4. I think it is 44:20, yes.

Seriously, keep listening and tell me if it isn’t amusing listening to these people say right to his face many of the things that we all think.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  5. Maybe it’s all revealed to be a cosmic joke at the end; I have not listened to the whole thing. But what I have heard so far is pretty damn funny.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  6. There’s a woman on there who says Neal admitted to her that he was @OccupyUnmasked.

    Which: duh.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  7. Call Frad Briedman – Rove tried to steal the Ohio vote! OMG!!!!!11ty!!!! 2004 All Over Again!!!!!

  8. Neal – I do what I do…..It’s an advanced form of performance art.

    Join the cavalcade of mediocrity.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  9. Neal calls Brooks Bayne a “man of ethics.”

    Hahahahahahahaha.

    *wipes eyes*

    An “honest broker.”

    Oh, man.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  10. an EPIC fustercluck of leftwing thuggery who deserve nothing less than Bubba buggery… in Cell Block #9.

    Colonel Haiku (abb56a)

  11. The Neal Rauhauser / Brooks Bayne smooch was pretty hilarious. Bayne really found his level, didn’t he? You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

    SPQR (768505)

  12. The woman says Neal told her in person that he was Breitbart Unmasked on twitter.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  13. She corrects that to OccupyUnmasked.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  14. Keep listening.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  15. Did Pat Frey or Karl Rove kill Mike Connell?

Rauhauser almost takes questions seriously. Says he got two dozen documents on the suspicious death just tonight.

    Stolen Ohio Vote!!!!!!!

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  16. Tell me this isn’t funny.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  17. What amuses me is the way people keep calling him a stalker and psychopath.

    That comes across, does it?

    Patterico (8b3905)

  18. Can I ask a question?

Neal, is Brett Kimberlin still a pedophile?

    Ka-Boom!

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  19. That is no way to treat an internet superstar, as Vince called Neal.

Don’t those other callers know who Neal thinks he is?

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  20. H.B. Gary, worst preliminary proposal ever written in the history of THE WORLD.

    A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  21. THIS IS F#(KING EPIC!! Rauhauser is such an arrogant ass, it was AWESOME to hear others have a chance to give him a verbal beatdown.
Kneel the soooper doooper seekret spie!!! He’s so full of shut and it’s obvious to many just how irrelevant he is. Operative my arse….he wishes!!

    RightGirl (8cd213)

  22. He sounded like a sad sack to me. People were beating him up and he couldn’t do a thing. The word that kept coming to mind was “loser.”

    Patterico (8b3905)

  23. I loved the mockery of his blog for its lack of traffic and then his unwillingness to give out a twitter handle.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  24. And yet, he couldn’t leave the call because he was the focus of attention.

    Mentally ill.

    SPQR (768505)

  25. He sounds like Kermit. This, on top of the drubbing on LA Weekly (highlight: Neal gets called out by the FBI in the comment section)

Also, how does Neal not know about Brett’s history? He plays dumber than dumb…why?

    jhatchet (b53faa)

  26. Hammurabi’s Code says he would love to make a living taking pictures of doors and writing gibberish on the internet like Neal.

    Ouch.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  27. He knows the gravy train is about to end.

  28. Some of you take tee internet way too serious.

Then again, it’s funny watching you all think Neal is the antichrist.

Once it’s clear what kind of person Brett is, the hustle unravels. Neal is Brett’s associate and assistant, helping Brett do what he does. That’s really enough to dismiss he and his defenders.

Some of you take tee internet way too serious.

Then again, it’s funny watching you all think Neal is the antichrist.

My opinion is that he’s a disturbed loser who was likely to be involved in dangerous harassment of innocent families.

Neal and his friends tend to respond to this by ignoring the evidence and calling it paranoia. So what? Neal already admitted he’s an associate of Brett Kimberlin. Ya know, the extremely violent and convicted bomber who provably tried to frame an innocent man in order to silence that innocent man?

I don’t think pursuing justice for the crimes that have been committed is “taking tee internet too serious”. Only a villain or a moron would dismiss Neal’s kookpocalypse blog’s theme: videos displaying violence, a dramatic countdown clock, and the maps to Aaron’s neighborhood. It all led up to nothing. No one was harmed, and they had some jumbled torrent of screencaps of blog posts (the way they were presented suggests that this thug Neal may have some kind of mental illness).

These people have called for my death and posted pictures of my home and discussed my family. It is a little worrisome, as once in a while I see them get oh so desperate to imagine a world where their actions are justified. Sometimes it’s like they have somehow convinced themselves of their own hustle. That’s the part I find surprising and alarming. If Neal’s just a jerk on the internet trying to smear people, he’s not going to go shoot anybody. If Neal’s insane enough to believe some of the things he’s said… the ‘I wish for your very painful demise’ comments have to be taken very seriously.

There are people who are unable to function in the real world, and the internet gives these shut ins the ability to come together and become concentrated evil and crazy. They make eachother worse. Before the internet, crazy people were dependent on the charity of people who would rub their heads and tell them they are crazy. Now, the crazy people rub eachother’s heads and tell eachother they are right. And when their lies are proven to be lies, they say they were just trolling… that this is all an “iron troll” contest and a big laugh, and that those whose jobs were threatened, or families harassed… they are just “taking tee internet too serious”.

  30. Dustin – that is just SOP for their ilk.

    JD (318f81)

  31. Dustin: Rule 14. You’re talking to one of Neal’s close friends, who recently declared swatting to be “hilarious.” Rule 14.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  32. ‘Course my point could be applied to my post.

    Carry on.

    Patterico (8b3905)

  33. True, JD. I wish I could do a better job not arguing with trolls. That really is the way to go.

I wish I had the time and talent to contribute in the constructive way Mr Hoge or Robert Stacy Mccain have by telling what’s happening.

All I can do is donate some cash to the Bloggers Defense Team. But that’s more than enough for me. I am proud to be a humble supporter of the folks who have made justice a possibility.

    Dustin (73fead)

  34. Cross posted with you, Patterico. I usually do manage to resist responding to these people. If you could see all the comments and posts I’ve written and then not submitted!

I have no time for the scum who laugh at the grave danger of police officers entering a home expecting to find an armed killer but coming across an innocent family.

    Dustin (73fead)

  35. “Some of you take tee internet way too serious.”

Shmoop – Not you though, right, which is why you spent more than two hours as a panelist on a crappy late night blog talk radio show.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  36. I guess I need to listen to this podcast. I usually miss those. It’s one thing to pop in and out of a thread for thirty seconds, and another to invest real time hours.

    Dustin (73fead)

  37. @jhatchet #25. There is no Manassas FBI office according to the FBI.gov website. So what that was, was a sock…probably of Neal himself.

    Dustyn H (aa7216)

  38. Dustyn,

That attempt was just plain pathetic.

They go to all the trouble of (badly) impersonating law enforcement and their argument is that both sides are equal, so we need to do as Neal says and laugh the crimes off as unimportant.

That’s a major tell. Good never argues it’s on the same level as evil. Evil always tells you it’s more or less the same as good.

    Dustin (73fead)

  39. Neal Rauhauser is to conspiracy theories as Paul Krugman is to economics. Incompetent, crazy and contradictory.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  40. Glenn Reynolds linked to this guest post on Zero Hedge, what crew of slime does it remind you of in the sixth paragraph especially?

  41. “I was fucking astonished there wasn’t a single prescription for anti-psychotics…”

    Me too, buddy. Me too.
