Like “New Black Panther Party” wherever?

    Racist.

  4. I remember watching from my office at the time, on tv.

  5. I got to a TV from the rolling building just in time to see the first jumper.

    It was a woman.

  6. The person most visibly affected in our office was a junior engineer on visa from Romania.

She had a photo of herself from the observation deck with the skyline over her shoulder on her desk.

  7. Lot of water under the bridge since then. My family married into a Muslim family. (Like my great, great, great, grandfather’s family did.) Finest people you could meet.

  8. I told my sleepy wife that I heard on the radio that a small plane had hit one of the WTC towers. She went downstairs to watch on TV while I left. I listened on the car radio until I stopped at a gas station to fill up. When I turned the radio on again, the newscasters were referring to the second plane that hit the other tower. I knew then.

My commute took me across the 7 mile-long San Mateo Bridge, which is about 10 miles south of San Francisco International Airport. As I was on the causeway, I peered intently to see if there any airplanes heading toward the highrise. I was prepared to stop on the bridge. I learned some years later that the terrorists had earlier planned to include targets on both coasts, and the San Mateo Bridge had been one possible target. They scrapped plans to hit the West Coast as too difficult to coordinate.

The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize. You fight terror by not being afraid.

  10. I still can’t believe anyone would believe that story about how Islamic Jihadists perpetrated 9/11.
Everyone knows that all Muslims are agents of peace.

It’s so obvious that Jooooos were in cohoots with the Bush Administration to bring down the Twin Towers !

  11. The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize. You fight terror by not being afraid.

The purpose of terrorism is to achieve political goals by terrorizing people into a submissive state of mind.

The only effective way to fight terror is to defeat the political goals of those who support the terror attacks.

Establishing shariah based nations is a truly idiotic way to try to thwart Islamic terrorism.

  12. Elephant Stone, don’t count on sleeeeepy to snap up that bait.
    Then again . . .

  13. It’s amazing that it’s been eleven years. So many people have fallen back asleep.

A lot of good people have died on our behalf.

Of course, a lot of the bad guys have died as well.

    That’s a good start.

    Pious Agnostic (7c3d5b)

  14. Did you hear the bad news:
One of the prisoners at GTMO died.
    More of that Hope&Change.

  15. It’s been picked up nationally by the Associated Press

CHICAGO (AP) – Gov. Pat Quinn says he respects Chicago teachers’ right to protest and he’s doing the best that he can to improve education in Illinois. But the Chicago Democrat is declining to weigh in on the strike, which entered its second day Tuesday.

Quinn spoke at a Sept. 11 memorial event at a Chicago library where the family members of fallen soldiers gathered to remember their loved ones.

Teachers on strike at a nearby school marched over and began picketing outside the event.Quinn wished them good luck and told them he respects their jobs. He then urged them to look at a traveling exhibit commemorating fallen soldiers inside the library.

Quinn declined to answer any questions Tuesday, saying it was a day to remember Sept. 11.

  16. “Did you hear the bad news: One of the prisoners at GTMO died.”

    So…what’s the bad news?

    Dave Surls (46b08c)

  17. They are still reading the names today. I listened till about 11:47 at the Ts. A boy said he would attend these memorials for the rest of his life.

    Sammy Finkelman (d22d64)

  18. But Dave, this wouldn’t have happened if Obama had kept his promise and closed GTMO.
How can he sleep at night with so much blood on his hands?

One of the prisoners at GTMO died.

    — Never received his trial, huh?

    Heckuva job, Barcky!

    Icy (ae1d87)

  20. And then, to add to the shame, the Obiebamster assassinated a released GTMO detainee in Yemen.

  23. Meanwhile, the war goes on, and on July 4, 2012, one of my relatives got blown up by an IED on his second tour in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne, losing both legs and a hand.

He’s probably going to be in the hospital for about a year (though he’s already up and walking around on his new legs…tough bastard). Anybody that wants to kick in some dough to help out a wounded warrior, or just drop him a line, you can hook up here…

  24. Here’s a real SHOCKA! NBC’s Today show ‘forgot’ to commemorate the moment when the first plane hit the WTC.

  26. Muslims celebrate by taking our Embassy in Egypt.

So much for the 2009 Obamapalooza apology tour or $1.5 billion he forked over in the Spring.

    Rodney King's Spirit (aeda60)

  27. I guess part of the Defense cuts were firearms training, and ammo, for Marine Embassy guards.
Some 12-g rounds filled with rock-salt would have done the trick quite nicely.

    AD-Restore the Republic/Obama Sucks! (b8ab92)

  29. The NY Times and now Crissy Mathews are remembering this day by smearing Bush.

    JD (8f8df3)

  30. Yeah, it doesn’t appear to be water under the bridge for the Jihadists in Egypt—they stormed our Embassy and replaced the American flag with a flag of their choosing. Gee, I wonder why they did that today, September 11, rather than, say, September 9, or Septemper 14….hmmm….I don’t get it.

On the other hand, NBC and “The Today Show” have put 9/11 behind them, and moved on !
Hey, c’mon, when a Kardashian is available for an interview, it’s no time to commemorate stuff like the anniversary of the Twin Towers.

    Elephant Stone (65d289)

  31. The Koran burner Pastor Terry Jones is the individual to blame for the Egyptian uprising don’t you know. He posted an “anti-Mohammed” film on line. Condemned on U.S. Embassy website.

    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/choas-in-egypt-after-pastor-terry-jones-posts-anti-mohammed-film-video/

U.S. Consulate in Benghazi Libya also attacked and set ablaze.

    elissa (2bab4e)

  32. Elissa – isn’t there an Egyptian documentary that the terrorists are using to excuse their violence, issue threats, etc …?

    JD (ecf0b9)

  33. Yes, that, too JD. But apparently (and conveniently) the state dept and media prefer to blame an American’s “slander” of Mohammed for today’s outbreak of Muslim violence.

    elissa (2bab4e)

  34. What American actions were to blame in Libya?

Obama to Netanyahu – Sorry, too busy. Have some lies to tell on the stump.

    JD (ecf0b9)

  35. The language coming from our embassy is embarrassing.

    JD (ecf0b9)

  36. Yes, it is, JD. Embassy grounds are overrun, our flag torn down and replaced with an AQ-related flag and our spokespeople apologize??? Seriously?

    Colonel Haiku (a63051)

  38. We were Kosovo’s airforce, Muslim Brotherhood’s airforce in Libya, and we are sending at least $1.3 billion in aid to Egypt. Please forgive me if I do not believe this WWWOT crap.

    nk (875f57)

  39. re: #37… nobody has contended the current regime isn’t stupid, nk.

    Colonel Haiku (a63051)

  40. You know honestly these demented izzies may as well go ahead and blow up the pyramids for Allah or what have you. The whole filthy godforsaken country is off the bucket list.

    Done and done.

    happyfeet (e86a27)

  41. And I am sorry that your relative got blown up to help Karzai be the world’s biggest exporter of illegal opium, Dave.

    nk (875f57)

  42. Karzai needs to be put down

    happyfeet (e86a27)

  43. We need to get our troops out of there. And if they cause us any more trouble, napalm the whole place.

    nk (875f57)

  44. nk- should have been napalmed the day after 9-11.

    mg (44de53)

  45. Here in NZ we woke to news of the attack on the 12th.

Some of us still remember what happend.

    scrubone (e7e0ea)

  46. They did this on 9/11. I’m very offended. But I bet you that if we went and trashed the Egyptian embassy there would be no apology forthcoming.

I remain amazed that Hillary has not quit yet. Her failure to do so disqualifies her for the presidency.

    Kevin M (bf8ad7)

  47. “And I am sorry that your relative got blown up to help Karzai be the world’s biggest exporter of illegal opium, Dave.”

    Me too.

Especially since it’s becoming increasingly obvious that our country is going to leave the guys who did it unbeaten.

    Dave Surls (46b08c)

  48. You cannot defeat Afhganis. You can only kill them.

I don’t whether they are descended from Alexander’s deserters, or the reason Alexander’s army deserted, or both, but they are tough f***ing cookies.

  50. all Asscrackistan needs is a nice, even coating of VX & HD…

    problem solved.

  51. I’ll tell you one thing, we can’t fight terrorists if we pull our armed forces out of the places where we find them.

    Dave Surls (46b08c)

  52. Lot of water under the bridge since then. My family married into a Muslim family.

Yeah, things have changed SOOOO much since then!!
