Obama: Deport the Criminals Last

Failing to deport illegal criminals costs lives. Again:

The Obama administration released illegal immigrants who went on to commit more crimes, including charges of 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the House Judiciary Committee said in a report Tuesday.

All told, 16 percent of the nearly 47,000 illegal immigrants the administration was notified of but declined to deport between 2008 and 2011 under its Secure Communities program have gone on to be charged with other crimes, the committee said.

. . . .

While hundreds of thousands of aliens have been sent back home under the program, 159,286 were not put in deportation proceedings during the period under review, CRS said.

About three-quarters of those weren’t eligible for deportation because they were legal immigrants and their criminal records didn’t rise to the level of deportation.

But nearly a quarter could have been deported and weren’t, CRS said. They went on to commit the 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the Judiciary Committee said.

So, 19 people dead because of lax immigration policy. But what is that as compared to all the votes Obama will get?

Thanks to Robert C.J. Parry.

  1. there’s a pretty decent chance that some of those 19 they murdered were also illegal immigrants, no?

Can’t we find these illegal aliens nice liberal foster homes so they can acclimate themselves to life in America and become better Democrats?

  4. 3 – Good idea with the foster homes. That will free up some emergency rooms at the hospitals.

  5. You didn’t actually think that the Choomander-in-Chief values the lives and safety of American citizens above his own naked political self-interest and survival, did you? In the Choomander’s perverse worldview, These murdered citizens and other crime victims merely represent the inconsequential collateral damage that must be accepted as the price of pandering to the Latino community.

  6. Obama has decided to have Bill Clinton nominate hima tht e Dem convention.

Clinton is a smart guy; he like any American with eyeballs sees this adminsitration is dangerous to this country, this being but one of many examples. Is it crazy to think Clinton might throw the Dems into frenzy free for all and nominate his wife instead?

    Bugg (234f77)

  7. @ Bugg

Not gonna happen. Clinton has no love for Obama, but he’s not going to do anything to damage his legacy or standing with the party. He’s an egomaniac who loves the limelight maybe only slightly less than Obama, so he’ll play the part of the dutiful Obama supporter, praising him as the greatest president in American history and the savior in our hour of need.

    Guy Jones (851e14)

  8. Bugg–Or perhaps the president has promised Bill that he will replace Jarrett and cede to Hilary Valerie’s prior in-house role as his primo go-to decision maker should he win a second term. Knowing the players as we do, there’s gotta be a “deal” there, somewhere.

  9. Somehow we need to get illegal immigrants classified as a consumer product. Illegal immigrants are more deadly than Buckeyballs and the cpsc is going after them.

  10. “Somehow we need to get illegal immigrants classified as a consumer product.”

Jim – We could BOGO them in Home Depot parking lots with appropriate warnings from DHS in henna tattoos.

  12. Even the DOJ says that 80% of our crime is committed by gang members. Many of those are illegal.

There is gang rioting within sight of Disneyland! That’s what illegal immigration has done for SoCal.

I don’t know if that’s a paradigm of our society’s future in general, of what sections of this nation in particular face decades from now.

I think of all the turmoil and mediocrity that has roiled countries like Mexico for generations, I think of how urban areas in the US have been wheezing and wobbling for decades, I think of various public schools that have been bad indefinitely, and I say “oh-oh.” And I can’t help but grimace and shudder.

If there is one thing the O-Admin is quite accomplished at, it is enabling the murder of Mexicans, either here in El Norte, or in Mexico proper.

BTW, anyone want to comment on why the DoJ dropped any visual reference to the Stars & Stripes on their website?

  20. From the article linked in the post

“The Obama administration has set records for deportations, removing about 400,000 aliens a year. But it has dramatically altered the composition of those being deported, shifting attention away from rank-and-file illegal immigrants and toward those who already have criminal records or who have repeatedly broken immigration laws.

In other words the policy is Deport the Criminals FIRST

  22. Don’t be a fool, stay in school.

  23. Ok. So you are saying that rapists and murderers are illegal immigrants. I bet if the Colorado shooter had been deported back to Europe (or wherever the f**k his forefathers came from) those innocent victims would still be here. Sad. 🙁
    I blame Obama!

  24. With the drop-out rate seen in most of the major metro areas, staying in school doesn’t seem to be high on the priority list….

  29. Do we know any true born American who has been released from prison and still went back to commit more heinous crimes? Any one? By show of hands? Anybody? Good. Let’s deport all these illegal immigrants and crime will be a thing of the past.

    The Emperor (1b3c94)

  30. Yeah, our Dem governor released a whole lotta convicts on a super secret early release plan in 2010 to help ease overcrowding. These supposedly non violent felons would eventually have been eligible for a reduced sentence but not as reduced as they got. The scandal blew up when the “non violent” criminals started being very violent in new crimes and neither the States Atty’s ofc or the original victims had even known they were out. Being home to a large sanctuary city guess how much of the state prison overcrowding that prompted the early release can be attributed to the high number of gang banger illegals filling the cells?

Note MN at the dividing line, 50%. Next door WI and MI at 49%.

Interesting that only 13 states have Dogs back.

  32. One of the things that baffles me is that the persons hurt most by excessive illegal immigration are those most supportive of Obama. Just another data point that a Obama 2012 bumper sticker marks a two sigma IQ deficiency.

    SPQR (695f2a)

  33. There are plenty of issues with which to be concerned. I’m not sure this is one of them. It would appear that a recidivism rate of 16% over 3 years is fairly low. That was the general level after 1 year for all US prisoners in 2007.

  34. There is a significant difference between being charged with a crime and committing a crime.
